  1. I'm renewing mine because its my team good or bad much like Fraz. Can't understand a boycott for "football philosophy" reasons? But then I've lost some season ticket companions along the way because of TB style of football (i.e. some people on here need to remember the bad old years not the glory months). Some interesting comment from Caley D on the SPL/Sevco season ticket boycott. I know I withheld my season ticket money as my only way of influencing voting decisions on an SPL stitch up but once club intentions were declared I responded in good faith and parted with my season cash but I was so scunnered at the time by the corporate scullduggery, it was not an empty threat. I definitely boycotted a renewal and felt very strongly about the issue at the time and the wee bit of noise I was trying to make was real. Was i the only one sticking to my guns and protesting by not paying up :protest:. Anyway no reason not to renew this year unless Hamilton get voted out for having a plastic pitch!

  2. Watched the game on alba and took to counting our first half passing /possession because it was unspectacular with passing across our own 18 yard box the norm. 5-8 passes then to brill and a hoof up for a well header or mis-pass. (maybe didn't help I already knew score). 2nd half much better and possession was still neat, tidy and a little more urgent. We looked the part of a good footy team if maybe still lacking that consistent killer end product for chance creation. JH 23 points from 23 games so far.By my reckoning if we cut out the celtic spankings a season of games could yield 38 points and 7th place next season. I'll take that now with a cup thrown in too. I've sat through worse in the cold and rain under TB tenure so think I'll stick with it.

  3. Happy with our overall performance. Back in reality land taking at least a point off a team with Aberdeens resources was well deserved. They travelled up from Aberdeen and stayed in Inverness last night!- what the hell is that all about. For me hearing stuff like that emphasises the funding gap we just won't close. Disappointed we didn't take more from game and always feel Aberdeen are there for the taking if you pressurise their creaky back line but suppose that's how they suck teams up the park to hit them on the break. I thought Tansey put in a fair shift chasing down in midfield in front of Drapes and I'd defend Tremarco performance too. Did Billy miss chances or did Langfield have some good saves? - apart from one I think it was the latter. Unfortunately I agree with majority that James Vincent was off the boil tonight seemed like nothing worked for him in attacking or defensive mode but he didn't hide and kept going. Christie looked the part in flashes some real visionary passes to open Aberdeen up but caught in possession a few times too- More protein shakes and gym work needed before earning a starting slot so he has power and strength to match his skill and tenacity - excellent impact sub tonight. He can fair jump for a wee loon a well.

  4. I did feel the stewarding was a bit OTT at the game. (but with smoke bombs, some chants, etc it makes arguing for a drum more awkward).  I suppose they get to practice stewarding with a relatively small and compliant group because lets face it when a big support comes north from the 4 cities they would not be wading in about them the same for risk of a reaction. See this all the time and it just annoys me.

Think they got the seats on the cheap at Dingwall too. My allocated seat was split in two. Serious point though the seats were getting belted by the ball and shattering when the team were practicing shooting during warm up (admittedly if we could've hit the goal it wouldn't have been a problem :slapme: ).

  5. Well done to Brora - enjoy it while it lasts because that's a bubble that's going to burst big style. There's a wee bit of manipulation of real expenses versus income going on up there. Single benefactors rarely stick around forever.

  6. Who should be relegated ?

County and Hibs (but I want Hibs to take three points of dons so if they don't do that well hell mend them).

    Who will it be ?

Hearts and Partick -but if the refs stick together they could still put county down .

If it was up to you ?

Celtic(to give us a tilt at the title) and County(no explanation needed)

    Who should be promoted ?

    Dundee and Falkirk.

    Who will it be ?

    Dundee and Hamilton

If I was up to you ?

Elgin and Peterhead - make a change to all the A9 away days. Otherwise, I'll take next closest two on A9 from Inverness.

  7. Sorry but somebody making a stance and politely asking the singers to cease whilst providing a clear rationale for the intervention would undoubtedly receive the support of the overwhelming majority. I have witnessed racist comments on a few occasions and I have immediately remonstrated to the individuals involved - with immediate success and apology and support and felicitations fro the large majority.

go for it I'm right behind you.   :hiding02:

  8. I think the best way to really kill bad taste chanting, apart from getting Agent N or IHE in about the offenders every time, is to drown them out with shouts and songs supporting our team and sing-along (for longer.. ) at the right ICT songs so that these "loons" understand what works to get other ICT fans singing. Out-sing/out-shout because as a support we all have the voices to do that to self police a minority amongst us  :police: .  I'm not condoning in any what was sung, but I do believe it was a minority singing this and what happened was we as a support all went quiet because we didn't think it was inappropriate. i don't think we'll ever stop this sort of stuff by force - finger wagging, threats, 4rse kicking, etc.

  9. Is not the first and wont be last time some ill judged songs are sung by football fans not just ours. Yeah it wasn't great but they petered out pretty quick ss not many sung along. It was the same group that sang throughout the match and kept the noise up at ICT end. Yellow card would suffice.

  10. There is one other issue and that is what was asked of Yogi when he was interviewed for the job. If the Board had done their screen correctly they surely must have noted the choice of systems that had previously been favoured by Hughes. They must also have surely decided on what systems would be of most benefit for the current squad and the way forward for the club.

I would find it inconceivable if one of the questions posed to the candidates would not have been as to how they envisaged the future, what system would they be utilising and how they would make such changes, which players they felt would fit in to that system and what personnel changes they would envisage in the future.

So to me the Board either were amateurish or they accepted the Yogi vision of the future.

But JH came across as genuine, plausible and we know he can talk a bit. "Don't need to change anything" etc. Maybe they bought that line too as well as maybe having one eye on the playing budget and seeing how that could be trimmed by using young home grown players against a backdrop of dwindling gates with no hearts, rangers or county in SPL next season and maybe a transfer fee for the odd player in contract.(they have to be thinking about that - tickets, programmes and pies won't fund the squad). Save the board

  11. On the face of it don't know why assistant wasn't present in dug out for a "must win" match tonight. Or have I missed something?

He was there tonight and made a brief appearance. Must of been sitting in the dugout.

Oh well apologies to RL. Every time I looked it was only Scott Kellacher I saw

  12. oops forgot to mention hughes masterstroke this evening.

he sent on the groundsman with a hose and for the whole of the half time break he watered the end of the pictch we were defending second half.

pity he didn't do it on Saturday and maybe billy would have scored when one on one with the keeper instead of nearly hitting the corner flag blaming the ball taking a bobble when he went to hit it.

Groundsman did his very best in 10mins he had and him running back and fore trying to connect stand pipes and turn the taps off and on all on his own was funny if not shambolic. As for the young reserves sent to help him - a few extra boot room duties required for those lads to learn about teamwork.

  13. Don't know if this a good or bad observation. We played patient passing football tonight without any real penetration and got sucker punched minute we chased the game a bit. Came home and stuck on Man U v Bayern on itv+1 and had another bloody hour of passing the ball back and fore except it wasn't ICT now it was Bayern!! To be fair to Guardiola he did have his wingers robben and ribery playing but it was same pass forwards, sideways back philosophy.
