Difficult to call the penalty. At the game I was certain it was a penalty, now I'm not so sure. Ref was pointing at someone, can't quite see if it's Rooney or Mckay.

    Goals footage in the report.

I think Clancy gave it for a shirt pull by Brad McKay. He seemed to be indicating that when Rooney was complaining. It certainly looks like he tried to grab the player, but I’m not sure that it had any effect. The stupid thing is that there was no need for Mckay to do that.

Lots of moaning on here since the defeat to Dundee utd which concluded a third of the seasons games.  Strikers are gash, Robbo needs to go as we were not improving etc  were the views of many on here. So I decided to compile a little report card to see if this would highlight areas of improvement and causes for concern.

    image.png.11f38cae1d1c8de380f4379da88bb197.png

So as you can see we have actually improved in many areas as our league position, points tally, our wins.our draws, our goals scored, the number of players getting on the scoeresheet and the number of players who have had assists have all improved compared to last year in the league.

The major cause for concern is in defence with the goals conceded which has actually gone up by 50% which in turn has led us to losing 4 games when in fact we hadnt lost any last season at this stage. One poster, think it was Satan called for new defenders, and he was lambasted but he maybe isnt that far off the mark.

We are 3-0 down to a part time team.

    Stll reckon we have improved?

tm4tj - he farmed at Balnastraid by Duthil in the 60s/70s so Carrbridge would have been local Welfare side. Also played for the Fluke post Highland League.

I never saw him play apart from family picnics but believe "absolute rock" sounds about right. His uncle Scot Symon wanted him at Rangers in the 50s but he opted to stick to farming and Highland League football.

Scarlet - Roshie/Stootie chronology as above. Both great players I believe. A wee bit before my time unfortunately.

I saw him play once, for Harris FC at Tarbert - can’t remember what the game was, but he was a guest player so must have been a friendly or testimonial. Dave must have been in his fifties then, but stood out in the game. He seemed to have so much time when he got the ball. I vaguely remember chatting to him after the game, and he came across as a really nice guy.

As others have said, RIP Dave.

I thought there was a limit to the size of lettering allowed on shirts?

There is. That was a publicity stunt. Their official shirts have no sponsors name. Paddy Power say they are paying them not to have their name on the shirt.

And it has generated a load of publicity, so the name probably doesn’t need to be on the shirt.

    Could be worse ?

It could be worse, but given that Huddersfield are being sponsored not to have Paddy Power on their shirts, I think a lot of fans would be happy with that outcome.

we sign some completely unknown goat herder from Bulgaria it's and I quote "quite remarkable how Robbo does it"

Todorov was at Hearts at the same time Robbo was coaching there. I guess he knows what he’s getting.

Robbie Neilson won the Championship with Rangers and Hibs involved. He also finished 3rd in the Premiership with Hearts, their best points total in 13 years.

    Give the guy some credit.

Neilson might have won the championship that season, but as soon as he started managing in the premier league, he developed a highly risk averse approach that backfired more than once. I’m not convinced he’s got rid of that approach, evidenced by him celebrating taking 10 man St Mirren to penalties in the play-off final.

The presence of both Dundee clubs in the championship add an extra layer of pressure to both, It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

    Clearly this got everyone excited...

ICT face Dundee, Raith Rovers, Peterhead and Cove Rangers. Fixtures to be announced shortly.

Sorry, fell into a catatonic state mid-draw, only just awoke...

Robbo will be in trouble for his radio interview.  Called the 4th official a liar and said he was no longer going to stand for the the attitude and incompetence of officials.

Scottish officials are rank. Clancy misses a clear red card in the old firm game, and instead of any kind of sanction, he gets sent to our game. It’s the same garbage, regardless of the officials. I don’t think there’s a conspiracy, I just don’t think they’re very good.

Ignoring the horrendous refereeing decisions against us in both ties the fact is we failed to score in 180 minutes so fair dues to Utd, I thought their keeper was excellent tonight. That said I think Utd better pray they get Hamilton in the play off because I don't see them beating St Mirren.

Yeah, we need to convert more of our chances next season.
