  1. Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd Back on Call Hollywood knew exactly who they were gonna call. And Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd look like they're stepping back into their Ghostbusting gear alongside costars Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson for a third Ghostbusters movie. Columbia Pictures is planning to reunite the stars and revive the 1980s story of Manhattan's valiant exterminators of supernatural foes, according a report in the trade journal Variety". The new picture is to be written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, who both worked on bringing Brit hit The Office to the small screen in the U.S. There is no word on whether Canadian-born director Director Ivan Reitman, who made both the 1984 original and its 1989 sequel, would direct any third movie. should make it in edinburgh scotland

  8. Euxton Mills Hotel The Landlord has more to worry about than the condition of his beers at the Euxton Mills. The pub is now the most haunted in Britain and was recently visited by five American ghost-busters. They came looking for ghosts with a local paranormal investigator and ghost meters. In the cellar they found plenty of evidence of paranormal activity. So if you fancy a ghost hunt, good meal or a fine pint of real ale, call in at the Euxton Mills
  9. Stories of strange goings-on during Crowley?s residence at Boleskine House are legion. There are tales of people dying or mysteriously disappearing, even of a butcher who chopped his own hand off after receiving a meat order from Crowley which had been inadvertently scrawled on the back of a piece of paper containing a spell. Part of the Abramelin ritual involves summoning a number of demons and subduing them. Crowley believed some of these demons had run amok locally, ?terrifying the natives.? The local people learned to steer clear of Boleskine, taking lengthy detours in order to avoid i

  12. My first ghost tracking tour began on a very wet and miserable Saturday night at Glasgow's Central Station, 7.30pm. it was there I first met with Tony Stebbings, founder and organiser of TOS. Tony came across as an amiable chap with a laid back manner and sense of humour to boot. I was then introduced to a mother and daughter team, Liz and Lisa and to Paul. We were ushered onto a wating minibus where I met three more members of the group, a young couple named Billy and Kim, along for the experience and the latter a confirmed paranormal fan, both of whom were interested in the evp phenomena. I also met another James, a techie and paranormal enthusiast. Our journey took roughly about an hour and a half and we had a good banter about all things paranormal (as you would expect). On arrival at the bunker the first thing I noted was how spooky and ethereal it looked, completely enshrouded in a thick blanket of mist which added to the experience. We also met some more people at the bunker, some folks from Radio Leith FM including one of the TOS group and two more ladies from TOS, Lorraine and Janice. Our group was ushered down into the bowels of the building to be met by the friendly manageress and tour guide, Mairi, who showed us into the coffee shop and plied us with hot coffee and choccies (thank you Mairi). After our initial guided tour, we regrouped and split into various cells to investigate the premises. I got asked to join Tony and Paul and had some amazing experiences in three particular rooms. My first encounter with the dead came from the Chapel. I did some psychometric readings for impressions and found a young 'red haired' man (confirmed by Mairi) who was isolated, anxious and uncertain of the war's outcome and a bit afraid of meeting his demise in the bunker. He was an avid letter writer and wrote to his fianc? and hoped to get married, indeed there was a sense of urgency about this, as if he would hate to die unfulfilled. He felt that the hymns they sang were "steeped in blood" (?) and being a religious, he said he "took his burdens to the lord". Another strange thing occurred there, Tony had taken a shot of a side wall and discovered a strange group of lights in a definite pattern, which weren't there to begin with! Room two was the Operations Room and it was here that I got an impression of a young english woman named Susan (confirmed by Mairi). Susan had a sailor boyfriend who served on a warship and she felt they were both doing their bit for the country, she in the bunker and he, on the ship. As with the young man, there was a feeling for the war to end and a return to normal life. Interestingly enough, Susan said her best feature was her legs, she was proud of her nice legs! My last and most interesting 'find' was in the dormitory, for it was there I encountered a young airman called Johhny Simpson. I saw Johhny wearing his flying jacket and helmet and also saw him leaning against the open doorway of the dorm, off duty, dressed in a white shirt, sleeves rolled up and open at the neck. His physique was skinny and he had a gaunt face and jet black hair. He was a smoker and a cigarette dangled rom the corner of his mouth and he used his thumb and forefinger to hold it and pluck it from his mouth. He had chest problems and I got the word GAS although being a smoker, it wouldn't have helped him at all. He said they (people in the bunker?) felt like rats trapped in a cage and that they all longed for the light. He said that the only things that kept him sane were "the fags, scrabble and the girls". They played scrabble and often cheated (confirmed by Mairi). Lastly his parting shot to me was a plea for all those who sacrificed their lives not to be forgotten. "Remember the fliers" he said. Well folks, I hope you've enjoyed reading my first blog and hopefully there'll be more to come in the next one. My first time with The other Side in the secret bunker was amazing! PS, at present I don't know anything of what the others discovered but I'm looking forward to hearing about it all. Share 3 Comments Jamesy Comment by Jamesy on 25 June 2008 at 2:06pm Delete Comment Hey Doctor Conn I enjoyed reading that, thanks, i too can say that i had a great experience at the secret bunker, and meeting everyone.I've been part of a couple of investigation teams and i can honestly say that i have never met a more enthusiastic team, it seemed as if we all just instantly became a team once we met each other and i can't wait to meet up again. As for my experience at the bunker, i was in a team with Billy, Kim, Lisa and Liz, we got some amazing response on E.V.P. in the dorm, it seemed that when we asked if there was anyone there, and if there was what age are you ? i thought i heard someone saying '14', i think some of the group agreed. The most impressive piece of evidence we got was when me and Kim were in one of the rooms just off the nuclear operations room, Kim thought she heard a howling noise , i never actually heard it at the time, but on reviewing my footage on the video camera that was locked off on a trigger object very near us .......you can clearly hear it. Also in the chapel we were calling out with the Dictaphone beside us, our technique was to ask 4 or 5 questions and then play back what we had just recorded so if there was a response then we could steer our questions in that direction, i thought the most fascinating piece of evidence we got in the chapel was when we heard two distinguishing clicks that ,at first sounded like a torch being put on the off again but we tried to replicate the noise but couldn't. After the investigation (and a good night's sleep), i started to review the footage both the digital camera picture's and the video camera.Unfortunately there didn't seem to be anything abnormal on the pictures, i then decided to have a look over the video camera that was locked off in one of the rooms just off the nuclear ops room(sorry i cant remember the name of the the room) recording any possible movement on a trigger object, which in this case was a rubber band that had the outline drawn around it with a pencil so that we would know if it had been moved. As i said earlier when me and Kim were in the room she heard a growl or a howl but at the time i didn't but on reviewing the sound my video camera was picking up you can clearly hear it. After going through most of the footage which was about an 1:02:51 mins, right at the end you can hear us all in another room it's very faint but then you can actually hear the furniture in the room moving and scraping on something then my camera just stopped recording, unfortunately i don't have the actual moving of anything on film but you can clearly hear it.....as for the elastic band, that didn't move at all. next location balnain house geting it fixed up for a vigil for the team

  16. Probably the most notable (or notorious) building along the south side of Loch Ness lies, half hidden behind the trees, approximately midway between Foyers and Inverfarigaig above the B852 loch side road. This is Boleskine House. Originally named Boleskine Lodge, it was built as a hunting lodge in the late 18th century by the Honorable Archibald Fraser who was related to Lieutenant General Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat. The house was built on land acquired from the Church on a site reputedly chosen to annoy Lord Lovat whose estate surrounded the property. During the Jacobite rebellion of 1745, Lord Lovat had unpopularly supported the English. Legend has it that the house may have been built on the site of a church that caught fire trapping the entire congregation who perished, but this is unconfirmed. A young Aleister CrowleyThe Frasers retained the house until the late 19th century and its notoriety stems from one of it?s a later owners, Aleister Crowley, the Beast of Boleskine, also dubbed the most evil man in the world. Crowley bought the house in 1899. He was born in 1875 and was an educated man, attending Trinity College Cambridge, and was an accomplished Alpine Mountain climber as well as poet, novelist and painter. But it is for the practices in the occult for which he is remembered. He was a self proclaimed magician and the press of the day reported accounts of black magic, devil worship and human sacrifice. Unexplained (and unconfirmed) stories of the time include those of a local butcher cutting off his own hand with a cleaver after reading a note from Crowley written on a piece of paper with a spell on the reverse. There are rumours of a tunnel from the cellars of the house to the burial ground which lies below the house by the loch side. Little wonder that local people would make long detours to avoid passing the house. What is certainly true is that Crowley left the house for Sicily in the late 1920?s where he established a commune. He died in poverty in 1947 having over indulged in drugs and alcohol but his reputation survived him and the area still attracts a cult following in the 21st century. Crowley is featured on the cover of the Beatles album, Sergeant Pepper, but the pop music connection with Boleskine House does not end there. In 1971 the house was bought by Jimmy Page of the band Led Zeppelin. Page was obsessed with Crowley and the house once again became home to reputed black masses and rituals. In the 1990?s the house was purchased by the MacGillivrays who remained there until shortly after Ronald MacGillivray?s death in 2002. The house is currently in private ownership and their privacy should be respected. Below the house, and just over the B852 road, lies the Boleskine burial ground, the burial place of the Fraser Clan. There once stood a medieval church here, now long since disappeared, the only building remaining being a small mort-house. A mort-house was a mortuary where the coffined body would lay under guard until such time as it was of no use to body snatchers! Two particular gravestones are perhaps worthy of mention. The tombstone of Donald Fraser of Erchit dated 1730 clearly shows three holes made by musket balls. It is said that, just after the Battle of Culloden, a military wagon carrying supplies to Fort Augustus and guarded by soldiers, passed along the road above the burial ground as a funeral was taking place. One of the mourners is said to have grabbed a loaf of bread from the wagon and thrown it to some dogs. The soldiers fired their muskets to frighten the mourners before arresting the culprit and taking him to Fort Augustus. Those musket holes are still visible today. The story has a happy ending in that the minister of the time, one Thomas Fraser, followed on to the fort and persuaded the Duke of Cumberland to release his prisoner. Another grave, that of The Honorable Jane Fraser, mentions her husband, The Honorable Archibald Campbell Fraser, 38th Chief of the Frasers, son of Simon 12th Lord Fraser of Lovat beheaded at Tower Hill in 1747. This may neatly complete the circle as it could well be this Honorable Archibald Fraser (born 16.08.1736, died 08.12.1815) who built Boleskine House. In 1772, his brother, General Simon Fraser (born 19.10.1726, died 08.02.1782) had petitioned the British Government for a restoration of the Lovat estates and the Lovat title which had been forfeited to the Crown when his father, Simon Lord Lovat, was executed for supporting the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion. A special Act of Parliament was passed in 1774 enabling the King to grant to General Simon Fraser, in recognition of his military service to the Crown and subject to a payment of ?20,983, the lands forfeited by his father. However, the Lovat title was never conferred on his younger half-brother Archibald. me in talks with most haunted about this location going to talk to the person in charge of the house when am there to get ok from them
