  1. Target now is 7th spot and at least 50 points. If we achieve that, and I believe we will, then we have been more successful than last season. Last five games before the split is not a measure of how well we are doing. These games were against Hearts, Celtic, Hibs, Aberdeen and Livi and we took 4 points from them.

Dont know what was written in the Courier but it seems to me that its on a stirring mission.

  2. I thought we played quite well for short spells, kept the ball down and we did win but there is a lot of work to be done. There was no real contest. Motherwell never got in to the game. They played like they have given up on their season already. Cant really form an opinion on MacAllister yet. He had a chance on goal but seemed to bottle it and make the wrong decision. For the rest they were reasonable but not outstanding. Golly, Dods, Rossco and Barry had fairly solid games. Morgan made some good moves at times but cancelled them out with some poor passing. Bayne wasn't too bad at times. Dargo was Dargo but not much ball coming to him. At the end of the day we got the three points but we didn't really have to fight for them. Broonie had, I think, two saves to make. Motherwell put no pressure on us but at the same time we never took advantage of their poor play.

  3. With five games to go 7th is as high as we can get, even if we amass more points than teams above so we will get a payout for 7th place. We are prevented from gaining further places, thus gaining a bigger share of the cash because of the split. The split came about to guarantee a bigger share for the top teams at the expense of the lower ones. Tell me thats a fair way of running the league.

  4. Article in Dundee Courier today says the grocer will back Brewster but he doesn't want to keep pumping cash into the club. He's already bankrolled them to the tune of £4m and wants to see them hold there own from now on. He'll provide some cash if need be but does not want any more high paid players on the books. They have given full contracts to some youth players and they have there eye on one or two others. The grocer needs to fund he pay off for the three that have been shown the door. DU have signed Craig Conway from Ayr on a pre contract and they are trying to do a deal with Eddie Malone of Clyde. With what has been sorted so far I cant see him coming for any of ours.

  5. Black has the same agent as Gary O'Connor and, on reading the story about the move to Russia Ian said to some team mates: "wish the agent could do something like that for me". A tongue in cheek remark and not an indication that he wants away. Unfortunately so and so heard the story from so and so who passed it on to so and so and now its 'Black wants away'.

  6. We may get loan players but I would like to see the fruits of our youth policy coming through. Lads who will see an SPL salary as a big hike in wages and who will give their all for the club.
