  1. Well no shame in result and didn't get battered. However don't think we had a shot on goal in the first half as we defended and tried to just keep Celtic out and nearly made half time at 0-0,but it was not to be.We showed Celtic too much respect and were not brave enough.Second half much better and brilliant headed goal for Mackay.

You just knew we would revert to hoof ball and sure enough we did.

All in all some decent play, but I feel we were just not brave enough from middle to front.

Perhaps if some of the people who come up with money spinning ideas could contact the club with their visions, receive formal support, set up the enterprise and run it on a voluntary basis and put any monies made into the pot ??

Agree with you,but getting serious engagement wi ICT is not as easy as it should be.

Yes, I saw this on Facebook. It's just another example of the club being totally oblivious to what the supporters want. They want to see the awards take place on the field on the last home match of the season, not some competition for the lucky few to attend the ceremony. I just can't comprehend why something that seems so easy to do, to accommodate all the supporters, can't be decided like it used to be, after the final game.

I really think it must be the clubs default position, that they continue to get the easy things wrong.

Agree again wi you Jaggernaut.I have never seen a business run like ICT.

It's like board discuss best option and what fans want and then do the opposite.Communication is at a new low for me.

Why can't the club just concentrate on getting basics right. For example first class communication, better interaction with the people who keep the club afloat each season, better use of marketing, better infrastructure and fans facilities on match day, seize every opportunity to sell the club as a community asset, welcoming young and old to come along and watch ICT.

I'm thinking a group of middle aged men in grey suits Are trying to keep club in 21st century and not doing very well. They know this, but still will not change status quo

Quite frankly we've never been the best at promoting ourselves and trying to be part of the fabric of the city but it's been even worse recently though. We must be the most disconnected club from its surrounding area that I can think of.

With the SCF less than a week away what have we actually done? Punted some final merch on social media? People have commented on The Council but it's not their job to spontaneously promote ICT, have we as a club even approached them to help support the build up to Saturday? In previous run ups we've had activities in the Eastgate with the League Cup, pop up shops in the Eastgate and the Market etc, nothing this time.

The ICT trust guys do a great job in schools and doing other community based programmes but they can only do so much.

For goodness sake there was a promotion earlier this season for the kids v players 'biggest home game' if you spent a certain amount on merchandise. I got 2 for my kids at Christmas. I emailed over 2 weeks ago asking what was going on with it. Was told that they'll look into it. Nothing since. Can't even keep to their own promises to their young supporters. It's absolutely farcical. Why would we expect other dithering fans to be bothered?

I'm sure the next communication will be to shell out for season tickets though!

Agree totally about communication as Highlighted in my previous post, it's as if they couldn't care about loyal fans until its time for season tickets and then they'll be over us like a rash.Waiting 5 days already for a return call advising me if they will post my tickets as struggling to get off work

  5. Nothing to lose at Hampden as long as we don't get battered,so I hope the boys enjoy the occasion and give it their best shot.

Had an issue getting tickets on line and as I don't stay in Inverness, I contacted the club every day with no answer,so I left messages on answering machine at ticket office and reception and I emailed.Credit where it is due,  they responded after six days and said they were busy.

Communication with season ticket holders clearly a priority.

Now waiting to see if they will post them to me otherwise ill take time of work and drive through to collect. Asked the question every day this week.

  6. First half instantly forgettable. Lacked confidence, drive ,desire.Good subs for second half and with them came the fight and desire led by Carson. Much improved half and unlucky with some shots.Standside linesman had a shocker with their first goal off side and denying us a clear corner five mins from end. Not sure about offside for our second.

Shaw and Henderson are in a league of their own followed by  Carson and Deas.Harper had a decent game.

I just cannot comment on highballs forward to their number5.We have been doing it all season.

When all said and done we have a final to look forward to and debt written off.

  7. Further to my earlier comment and I don't  like being overly critical, but I wish we would stop sending high balls to Billy Mackay. They haven't  worked all season and didn't work today. The Dundee number 5 won every one of them. When we sent long balls to the wingers we did better.Missed Welsh today as he can control things from the centre of the park. All said and done though a good point fought hard for.

  8. I'll take a draw.Dundee threw everything  at us first 20 mins and could have been one up but the striker missed a sitter. As the half went on we came more into it.Second half similar  start for Dundee and they had all the pressure.Don't know what happened for their goal, was Ridgers unsightly by  defender.Good subs by Dodds today at the right time and as the game went on I thought we could have pick pocketed them and stolen a result. At the end of the day the boys did well to get a draw and with other results going our way we have play offs in our hands.

  9. Good comfortable win today over a poor Raith.Carson,Ridgers,Shaw and Henderson stand out, although the team did well.Amazed how lethargic and lack of desire shown by Raith.Even the Manager and coaches spent most of the game in the dug out.It was like they accepted they are out of top four and no getting relegated, but what about passion and pride.ICT up to 5th

  10. I think we are all agreed that was a backs to the wall performance in the second half.Great show of resilience drive and determination. Shocking red card,a yellow yes.Jay Henderson has been a blessing for us and made another assist tonight.Shaw put the ball away perfectly. Was pleased with some lovely calm play from Carson.Defenders did well and good saves from Ridgers. The first half was a hard watch though and both team were as bad as each other.Second half much much better and then with 10 men the boys put their bodies on the line.

  11. Agree with previous comments.I thought the worst up until 10 minutes in, then we took control.I was surprised how poor Kilmarnock were, but I want to think that was because we made them look poor.Allardyce , Welsh, Henderson and Shaw stood out that bit more.Best caley performance for a long time

  12. I was thinking I am not sure the team was set up right today.Shaw and Henderson seemed to be playing alongside each other on same wing and Harper and D Mackay were on opposite side.I always think Shaw playing out one flank and Henderson way wide on the opposite side pumping balls into Billy is best.Harper and DMackay could have played inside them also on opposite sides. We lacked a cutting edge today same as last home game.We had DMackay one on one with their goalie which came to nothing.Last home game it was Doran one on one with the goalie. Last home game we gave away two goals by silly mistakes today the same.Best hope this season is to beat Killie get Celtic or Rangers in semi, make lots of money and then rebuild the team and change the whole club strategy, vision and mission.

  13. For the first 20 mins I was optimistic even positive and impressed. We should have been two up by half time  with Billy Mckay missing a sitter. As the half progressed we started to revert to type, gave up playing football and started hoof ball.Shaw,Henderson,Allardyce and Carson looking good with nice touches.Don't know what Shaw took at half time but second half he was all over the place.Carson was my player of the team today  with Allardyce and Henderson. However,I cannot understand how for the last two home league games we cannot do basic defending.Shocking final result when you consider how we started the game.Losing 3-0 at home to Hamilton is not acceptable.

  14. Well done to ICT though none of us saw that coming, which is what makes the result so good.Unfortunately I wasn't at the game, but last week I said on here I don't know why Dodds didn't play Shaw on opposite wing from Jay Henderson from beginning of last week's game because both of them playing putting in crosses for Billy works a treat compared to hoof ball. Not that Dodds would ever listen to anything I would say understanably, but I understand this is what he did today.Billy Mackay an example to all.

  15. Think we just have to accept we will be lucky if we make the playoffs and if we do we will not go far. This is not being negative its being realistic.

Then the excuses will come starting with injuries, followed by we were unlucky in some games and probably will include we had to play young boys.

Then we will be told next season will be different and we are going for it,because we are going to do exactly what we have done for the last few seasons.

We will roll up and watch more of hoof the high ball to the small strikers, get ourselves frustrated, sit in the freezing cold on dark days and night and moan on here.

Oh well seems the timeline for being an ICT fan is much of 'more of the same' and so it will continue until the club grasps the nettle and makes changes across the club until the whole mineset and outlook is changed for the better.

Realistically we are a championship team.Is there any player fit for the Premier other than Ridgers and Deas.

  16. I was wondering why did Dodds not play Shaw from the off as he makes a big difference running down the wing and with Jay Henderson on the opposite wing they can put good crosses in for Billy ie feed our main striker with good balls.

We don't seem to have a plan.Nearly all free kicks in our own half go backwards instead of looking for a forward opportunity. We seem to lack any attacking savy.

Our passing is shocking and for some reason some in the team lack real fight and desire.Realistically we are a poor Championship team and don't look at all like promotion hopefuls.

Like others I don't know how long I can sit in these freezing conditions watching utter garbage.

  17. That first half was without doubt one of our poorest. The weather was bleak and so was the play on the park.Deleany gave the ball away for first goal similar to the goal we gave away on Tuesday and then I thought he was trying to give Morton another assist with a penalty,  but managed to stop himself in time.I thought the team lacked fight and drive and were second best to a poor Morton team in the first half.Deleany and Doran hooked at half time and second half showing better.I think Doran has lost his confidence. Two games running, through one on one with keeper and he fluffs it or falls over. That must be the quickest goal Cairns will ever score.Well done loon.A point gained when all said and done.We need to cutout these basic mistakes and just sharpen up all over.Show desire and roll up the sleeves and fight.

  18. Queen were the stronger sharper team and always looked like scoring.Ridgers man of the match for us and kept us in the game.I thought some of our defending was poor,we seemed to get caught with the ball and then two defensive errors, which were expected, cost us the game.We need to do something to tighten up in defence. It goes without saying we are really missing Deas

  19. A hard fought draw against the leaders so happy enough, although we didn't  take chances, but neither did they.Good to see the old ICT back with at least a bit of grit determination and drive and hopefully keeps the confidence in the team.Good to see Shaw back.Hyde coming more into it.Both keepers had a good game.Really thought Deleany would be walking before the end.

  20. Great result well done boys.Back to back wins, hopefully we have turned that long corner.Didn't make game ,but kept up via radio and Iive score.

Always thought and previous said, dropping Ridgers was a mistake. He is the main stay of the team and controls things from the back. Then we have Devine,Welsh and McKay.What was missing was our wide play and Jay Henderson seems to have gone some way to giving us that width.Whatever we do we have to try and not ever revert back to hoofing high balls forward to the wee strikers. It never has worked and never will.

Well, just not used to being in a good mood two weeks running.

    Good stuff.

  21. Well done ICT and Billy Mackay for hat trick.I thought the worst when we went 1-0 down having missed three good chances early on.Fair play the boys dug deep and we went in at half time 3-1 up.Confidence returned and the boys showed what they can do.I thought new boy Jay Hendrson did well. Billy showed what he can still do.I think Cove keeper was suspect throughout.Their standout was Longstaff who caused us problems in the first half. All in all a great start to 2023

  22. I wasn't at last night's game, but tried to keep up with live score.Times are hard when you turn up for games and a draw is a good result. The majority of real fans are at the stage now where we are not that gutted when we get roasted because we kind of expect it now.We don't play or act as a team. Its not one for all and all for one highlighted last night by the SD going to comment for BBC at another game. The whole set up at Caley is tired. Look at the infrastructure, look at game days we cannot even make sure the towels are there in the toilets.Refreshments are limited and if you queue at half time chances are you miss five or 10 minutes of second half.If you cannot get the basics right off the pitch and your senior management don't even travel to watch the boys play at away games what chance have we and I think this apathy rubs off on the players .This kind of malaise. What we need is energetic driven, ambitious senior executives who would die in a ditch for the club. Finally I think Dodds lost the dressing room when he dropped Ridgers who was the one steady constant in the team. The one person who motivated and organised from the back. The player with real street cred.

I was going to stop, but just want to repeat what I have said so many times. If your tactic on game day is to hoof the ball to the smallest player on the park, then we are going nowhere.Where are our wide men can we no play on the deck and pass the ball.

  23. Well Dundee were no great shakes and on their first effort on goal they scored. Oakley was playing, so I knew goals would be scarce, but I  hoped not that scarce.I think if we were still playing we would not have scored.

As okaley was the target man I knew there would be a barage of high balls as usual.Unfortunately Oakley never got on the end of any.

Plenty huffing and puffing and my MOM was Carson for committment followed by Shaw and Doran.

I just knew McMullen was going to cut it in for their goal, but the defenders didn't  see that.

If ever we needed a prompt that we are desperate for a striker it was today. We get to last third and don't know what to do.

I don't think the Dundee goalie even dirtied his knees.

Finally, why did Oakley not shoot 20 mins in when through on goal,he passed it.

A team and strikers lacking confidence.

Unfortunately that's six league games without a win.Yes we have lots of injuries, but we have a squad of players
