  1. If we are honest we were lucky and cannot afford to defend like that.Thank goodness for Chalmers that's all I can say
  2. Pity about these crap goals we lost.We had a lot of possession, but didn't really threaten. As I type we score ......well done Logan Chalmers.
  3. Agree, two poor goals to lose and we were doing okay and had good chances. We need to close the back door because we are doing okay up front
  4. We were the better team no doubt so now we have to come from behind.Pity Mackay couldn't hold it.
  5. At last and well done to the team.It is funny that a lot of us on here were saying that the formation was all wrong for weeks, they change it and we win.We also said keep the ball on the deck and pass from back to front and they were better at that.I am critical of Sutherland, but he played well today,as did Carson and Duffy when he came on.We still need a good number 10 and I'm afraid to say I think Doran and Broadfoot have seen better days.Overall the rot has been stopped but next weeks game is crucial and will let us know if we have really turned the corner. Arbroath looked tired and no wonder, they have done well this season. But other than hitting the post that was about it in an attacking sense
  6. True about inability to score , but with all the emphasis on attack, how are we so poor at scoring.Perhaps it's not a problem with the strikers, it is with the service and support they get from midfield and runs forward from defenders.Thats why I thought it might be best to lock up shop first and build from back with proper tactics, good passing,a plan and a system, rather than hoof forward and hope for best. This is where focus on defending and their roles might help.
  7. To be honest on this form it is maybe best if we just missed out on the playoffs, because what are we going to do in these games that will be any different. I am still going to the game on Saturday and will continue to support the team like most of us will, but all we are all saying is don't take a liberty with our loyalty. As an aside, I was thinking we have the Manager who was a striker, the Assistant who was a striker, Kellagher who I think was a striker, we secure four strikers in the last window, but maybe, just maybe we need a coach for the defenders, someone to give them a steer and who better than Ross Tokely, surely that would be a wise move.
  8. I realise we should maybe let this topic go now,but it is telling that we,the fans and supporters of the club, are being treated as non entities, that is until the end of the season and then the begging letters will come out asking us to joing Caley Thistle on another wonderful adventure, buy a season ticket at the same price as last year (if you are lucky) and we promise we will do better. A club like Inverness should have a great following when you consider they could and should be drawn from far and near Inverness, the capital of the HIghlands. However, why would you come as a newby to the club, not just because they are struggling on the playing field, but why come to a club that treats their supporters with such disrespect and then rely on the morals and loyalty of these same fans to come back next season. Those running the club know about our feelings, but it is as if they don't care, which is all the harder to stomach when the 'In Box' is full of Caley Thistle Emails when the season ends and they are looking ahead to the new season. What about an Email now to all the supporters telling us what is going on behind the scenes and what plans have you in place to rectify the clear issues that are ongoing. In relation to the playing standard. It was summed up to me today by a bar Manager in Moray: All the punters in the pub last Friday were shocked by how poor Inverness were and how far they had fallen. So it is not just us the supporters and fans that think the performances are poor, neutrals do to.So how do you explain the 'excellent' performance in the second half that the manager saw?
  9. We all seem to be on a football downer just now with the way we play, which is directly attributable to our 11 games without a win. Chinese whispers are expected in the circumstances and fans will guess and second guess and add arms and legs when there is a vacumn of credible information. If I learned one thing in life, it is to be transparent, open and honest with staff, in this case fans. Tell them exactly what is going on, what the challenges are and what the proposals are for overcoming these challenges and then we are all focussed on the one thing (No side issues and dealing with rumour) - Improvement and the route ahead. Keep your staff (fans)in the dark, let them see that there is a disconnect and tell them nothing, just leads to factions, disaffection and disloyalty. I think of this scenario: We all want Caley to do well, but we are in the engine room keeping the ship running and afloat through the storm, those up on the top deck just keep asking for more power and we haven't a clue where we are going and only want to reach a safe haven. Is it not better to tell the troops in the engine room what the challenges are ahead, what we are going to do about it and then hopefully how and when we are goiung to reach safety. Just a thought for Monday morning.
  10. It's hard to find positives I agree. A visit to the County reveals how far we have fallen. At the game today they could pass, dribble and were strong on the ball. The catering was good, Stewards seem professional, good crowd and toilets were not like a byre. I agree is is a real concern that Dodds thinks we are good and the second half was excellent. At best we were average if I was being generous. He cannot really believe that he just cannot.
  11. Decided to visit County today for game against St Mirren.Hopefully will get to see and remember what a decent game looks like.Yes through thick and thin but sometimes you need to remind yourself of the level we used to play at and certainly will not be playing at for another season.
  12. I suppose we have to just face the facts and that is that the anonymous Chairman and board are not going to make any changes now so close to the season end. They are all old pals and look after each other. The fact that we are going for a record number of games not won seems to be making them all the more determined to ignore the fans.I think there are some decent players in the squad,we are just not playing the right ones in the right positions and the tactics are all wrong.I think we all know hitting high balls to small strikers is a total waste of time.We miss Allardyce in the centre and frankly players with bit of guile and strength.Remember Munro,Tokely,Warren,Meekings and co,little got passed them.
  13. So we now head the wrong way down the table and lucky if we make play offs
  14. Lucky it is still level. I wish we would try and pass like we used to,as the long balls to our small front men just doesn't work.Guess a scrappy win or draw will do considering
  15. We are living dangerously.Carson on better form so far.Seen more grass on a field of tatties.Looking for midfield to do more.Cannot really expect anything fancy on that surface.
  16. Credit to mackay in goals he has done well again tonight.10 games without a win though shows something is clearly not right. We need to really work on confidence and learn to stop giving away crappy early goals then chasing the game
  17. Thought Welsh had a decent game, better second half, missed sitters though, but they hit post.defo penalty for us not given and yes I am grasping at straws.
  18. So far no change in performance one down, chasing the game and not able to string passes together
  19. It seems to me that obviously there are so many real supporters sick and tired of this malaise. We are heading for a crisis in footballing terms and now is the time for leadership and togetherness. We need a plan and a route out of this mess. You cannot expect the supporters to try and pull everything together when we are effectively the worker bees. You need the Queen bee and her (or his in this case)entourage to acknoeldge the comments on all the forums, accept the supporters are disgrntled and do something about it. It doesn't matter whether than be the Board or Senior Management, even the Manager and coaching staff, should someone from the Club not be coming out with a rallying cry and call for all to get behind the team and they promise they will at last start listening and engaging. Why not employ a Communications person - even call them a Communications Manager, as everyone else seems to have Manager or higher named post in their title mwithin ICT.
  20. I was just going to suggest Tokely with oversight from Christie
  21. It would be good to hear the latest from the Supporters Trust as to what is going on and what the back story is. I take it we have given up hearing from the Chairman or Board and if so, does it not look like our ship has gotten a broken rudder and we now have to hope we miss the icebergs as the Capatin and First Mate are sleeping and the crew are all down below deck. What a sorry state we have become.
  22. Why does the Chairman not come out, highlight that he is listening to the valuable supporters and then propose a plan to deal with the doom and gloom hanging over Caley stadium. Tell us why the communication which he started his tenure triumphing, has dropped to next to zero. Tell us why there are not proper parking facilities around the club and why the catering is a bit of a 'hit or a miss' and then tell us why he thinks the team have imploded. Is there a reason that we, the loyal fans know nothing about. Is there a reason why some of the players don't have desire and drive to play and maybe tell us what goes on at training, because whatever they are doing makes no difference week in and week out. Finally, can he no tell us if he is concerned that as a club we are all disconnected and not looking or acting professionally and explain why we should have to put up wth much more of this.
  23. I think the bottom line is that none of us know when a goal is going to come for ICT because really we never look like scoring. If we cannot score and we cannot defend then why are we surprised we have not won a game for so long.It is now rare to feel excited at a Caley home game.Indeed I'm not sure anymore what that feels like.
