  1. I think it has been all said. Not a great watch and grateful for the early goal.Thought Ridgers,Carson,Sutherland and Samuel's were standouts.Passing at times pretty woeful and as long as we have small strikers high balls up front are no use unless it is spot on perfect for a Samuel's run. That said a good shift by all and well done for grinding out a result. Good crowd and what a difference our younger singing supporters make.
  2. Terrific game with Caley playing some nice football and what a goal that second was.The pass from Sutherland was sublime. They were dirty players (Partick) and it looked like they were told to be hacking our players down. What a miss by Alegeria or similar name. Well done ICT support at the game.Lets finish it off Friday
  3. Well that was no classic, but job done and 3 points.Concerned that this level of performance will not be good enough for play offs.We really needed a second goal.At least I can grow my nails soon, as watching ICT when 1-0 up can be nerve wracking as I waited for the self induced mistake and equaliser.Thankfully it never came. We need to really tighten up at the back at times and stop giving away soft free kicks in dangerous areas. Well done for the win
  4. That second half was the best I have seen this season.Inspired subs putting on Carson and Doran, they changed the game.I thought we played lovely football at times.Great atmosphere added to by great number of travelling support
  5. Well we threw that game away and dropped 2 points. We must have just came out 2nd half all complacent, thinking we were good enough to hold onto our lead, when we are not good enough and need to fight for 90 minutes. Surely we have learned that after this season.
  6. We are so disappointing this half we just need to plug away and try and steal a win.Strange when we were so in charge first half.
  7. Think we need to be get back to being first for second ball.Ayr right in our faces this half.
  8. Nothing will take away from a good all round performance yesterday and yes maybe saying Yogi was a master at tactics was pushing it,but come back to me when any Inverness Manager can claim similar to 3 cups and first division with Falkirk,Scottish Cup with Inverness,PFA Manager of the year etc. What I meant is Yogi will have done his homework and if he sees any weakness he will capitalise.Thankfully the boys were all good yesterday.
  9. At last a good performance all over.I have been critical of Sutherland a few times this season, but today I thought he was immense. The big difference was the team had desire, grit, determination and fight.Great to see that spirit back. We need to build on today get the confidence fully back and believe we can do it. Maybe we are coming good again at the right time.Well done to all today.
  10. Don't know why it concerns me that when we finally manage to get a route out of the Championship we usually throw it away. We seem to struggle against the bottom teams in this league and after two lucky scrapes we secured a couple of wins, but let's be honest,in neither game did we flatter.Saturday is a biggie and we better be switched on.
  11. Oh well that's what makes us all fans I guess, different opinions. If he wasn't any good why has he managed so many teams at so many levels with his fair share of success. At least he has a plan and is tactically aware. Not sure we have at times.
  12. Seems to be doing well tonight.Hughes has always had a good knowledge of the game and knows tactics. He did win us a cup at Inverness more than any other recent Manager has managed since. My point is now with three ex ICT players,Hughes is turning it round and if they play on Saturday like they are playing tonight we better be at our best.
  13. Totally agree,We need to practice passing and pass from the back out. You don't need to be a Rocket Scientists to know high balls to small strikers = no chance of getting the ball. It is that simple. High balls might work if we still had a White or similar up front, but when he was with us he couldn't jump and now he is like a kangaroo with County. We surely must have a game plan, because Yogi is the master tactitian and strategist and he will have Dumfermiline fighting all the way. We need to realise that we have been lucky these last two games and overall we are a shadow of the team we once were. We need to have players who can read the game and take up the right positions to receive passes. Finally, as Chalmers showed, shooting when near the goals is always an option rather that trying to pass it into the net and getting bogged down.
  14. I understand the tactics now. Confuse the opposition by using as many subs as you can and change formation so much that the opposing team don't know what's going on .Ah the down side, well we don't know what formation we are playing either and that is why passes keep going astray.Justgoing to enjoy the win for now and grateful Chalmers chose to shoot twice and not pass.
  15. Let's hope we analyse the scrappy goals conceded to learn for next few games.Just relieved we scraped it.
  16. If we are honest we were lucky and cannot afford to defend like that.Thank goodness for Chalmers that's all I can say
  17. Pity about these crap goals we lost.We had a lot of possession, but didn't really threaten. As I type we score ......well done Logan Chalmers.
  18. Agree, two poor goals to lose and we were doing okay and had good chances. We need to close the back door because we are doing okay up front
  19. We were the better team no doubt so now we have to come from behind.Pity Mackay couldn't hold it.
  20. At last and well done to the team.It is funny that a lot of us on here were saying that the formation was all wrong for weeks, they change it and we win.We also said keep the ball on the deck and pass from back to front and they were better at that.I am critical of Sutherland, but he played well today,as did Carson and Duffy when he came on.We still need a good number 10 and I'm afraid to say I think Doran and Broadfoot have seen better days.Overall the rot has been stopped but next weeks game is crucial and will let us know if we have really turned the corner. Arbroath looked tired and no wonder, they have done well this season. But other than hitting the post that was about it in an attacking sense
  21. True about inability to score , but with all the emphasis on attack, how are we so poor at scoring.Perhaps it's not a problem with the strikers, it is with the service and support they get from midfield and runs forward from defenders.Thats why I thought it might be best to lock up shop first and build from back with proper tactics, good passing,a plan and a system, rather than hoof forward and hope for best. This is where focus on defending and their roles might help.
  22. To be honest on this form it is maybe best if we just missed out on the playoffs, because what are we going to do in these games that will be any different. I am still going to the game on Saturday and will continue to support the team like most of us will, but all we are all saying is don't take a liberty with our loyalty. As an aside, I was thinking we have the Manager who was a striker, the Assistant who was a striker, Kellagher who I think was a striker, we secure four strikers in the last window, but maybe, just maybe we need a coach for the defenders, someone to give them a steer and who better than Ross Tokely, surely that would be a wise move.
