I am currently updating the Prediction League Pages located here and will also be updating the software to the latest version in the next day or two: http://predictions.caleythistleonline.com/index.php.

This prediction League should not be confused with Gringo's NPL prediction League which takes place on the forums and takes account of ICT matches only ... this one is a software based prediction league that allows you to battle each other to see who can be best at predicting the outcome on all SFL League 1 games over the season. Last year it was an SPL Prediction League but this year, as we are in SFL1, its an SFL Prediction League !

If you were in it last year, and predicted more than 15 games, your registration is still valid and you can login to join the SFL 09/10 league and start predicting (see screenshot at the bottom which will show last year's winners and the currently valid accounts).

If you werent in it before, and want to try your hand, or you were registered before but didnt make enough predictions you will need to register or re-register as the user database has been cleaned up for this season. The login for this part of the site is separate to your forum login so you do need to create an account if you dont already have one.

As with previous years, we have added the first few weeks of fixtures into it and also added bonus points for these games. There are 10 bonus points up for grabs in each match of the first 4 weeks plus 25 bonus points for the first ICT V County game for predicting a correct result.

Scoring in the game is as follows:

• 5 Points for predicting the correct number of goals by at least one team.
  
• 5 Points for predicting the correct number of goals for the home team.
  
• 5 Points for predicting the correct number of goals for the away team.
  
• 25 Points for a correct score. i.e. you predict 3-1 and the result is 3-1.
  
• 10 Point for a correct result. You predict 1-1, the score is 2-2.
  
• 0 Points for a incorrect result. i.e. you predict 3-1 and the result is 1-3.
  

Goal Difference

• For each correct teams number of goals you score, you receive that number of +goals. e.g. you predict 2 and the team scores 2, you get +2 goals.
  
• For each incorrect number of goals you predict per team, you lose the difference in goals. e.g. you predict 3 and the team scores 2, you get -1 goals.

Just a quick reminder that this starts with the Dunfermline game. We have had a few people signup and a few returning members getting their choices in early ..... so dont forget to get your predictions in before this game :023:

A few weeks ago we deleted old accounts from this league. These were accounts where users hadnt predicted for most of last season. We left in those who had predicted regularly to save them from having to sign up again.

To further clean up the active participant list for this competition, we will be cleaning the accounts again after the first game and leaving behind only those who have predicted for the Dunfermline game (and beyond) ... so another reason to get your predictions in !

Still waiting to find out the prizes for last season's top 6...

Just a note on the Livi situation. Should there be any action on the Livi front, such as demoting them out of Div1, then we will simply substitute them with their replacements (Airdrie?) in all prediction league games. Your predicted scores for those games will stand, although you will be able to amend any of the games that have not yet taken place.
