ICT v Falkirk - Preview

  • Teaser Paragraph:
falkirk_h.pngIt has been 7 games since Inverness CT last tasted victory (in other words 1 win in 2008) and it is important we start picking up points sooner rather than later. All of a sudden 11th place is in sight instead of the 6th place which could mathematically still be possible. However to do that, Saturday is a must win with Falkirk currently occupying 6th spot.

Lets just hope a 2 week break will work wonders after a dreadful home performance against Hearts on the 1st March. With Marius Niculae called up to the International squad, and Ian Black and Dougie Imrie running a mile with Radio 1 for Sport Relief since our last outing, surely we are ready for the big match with the Bairns.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Marius Niculae (Inverness CT): The Romanian has 9 goals to his name this season, but this week was probably the best news he has heard this season. He has been re-called to the international squad for the friendly against Russia on the 26th March. This can only boost his confidence which will hopefully show on Saturday with a couple of goals.

Carl Finnigan ( Falkirk ): Former Newcastle reserve player, Carl Finnigan has just extended his contract with the Bairns by an extra year to 2009. He has scored 7 goals in 38 appearances for Falkirk and a major part of the team. Now been in Scotland for 13 months, and he is obviously happy to stay for longer.
