The relegation battle continues at Inverness this weekend when this seasons SPL fresher’s Hamilton call back to the Tulloch Stadium to continue the fight to avoid the drop into oblivion...well the first division at least. The prospect of visiting trendy, up market places like Greenock, Airdrie and Dingwall should be sufficient to encourage any SPL strugglers to up their game and miss out on these little gems of Scottish culture. However, Inverness having stuttered their way off of the bottom o

Every jobless manager in the UK; a few 1st division managers; 2 previous managers; a player who left us this month; and an Argentinian!! How did the board manage to narrow it down to just 1?? Firstly let me congratulate Terry Butcher and Maurice Malpas on successfully getting the job as the new management team of Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Yes, at last, the proverbial six pointer has arrived. The club is under new leadership after chairman Eddie Thompson sadly succumbed to his long battle with cancer at the age of 67. Taking over at the helm is his son Stephen Thompson, and it was recently announced that manager Craig Levein has signed a three year extension to his Arabs contract. One week after an away win against Hibernian, Inverness Caledonian Thistle welcome the Capital’s other SPL outfit, Hearts, to the Caledonian Stadium in Saturday’s SPL fixture. Both sides played midweek, with Hearts winning 1-0 at home against bottom side Hamilton Accies and Caley Thistle drawing 1-1 with Falkirk. In the previous league meeting this season the match finished 1-0 to Hearts, with an early goal from Saulius Mikoliunas putting paid to the Jags hopes for a win. Hearts have looked to
