Relegation Day   The maths was relatively simple... whoever took this game by the scruff of the neck would stay in the SPL, the other would go down. ICT even had the luxury of the draw too. However, it was not to be and for the first time in ICT history, the team have been relegated courtesy of a second half strike from Michael Higdon and a Red card for Ross Tokely We are not going to play the blame game at the moment... post mortems and all that go with them can come later... for

This was a chance for Caley Thistle to ensure SPL survival but for the second time this week a 79th minute goal proved decisive. Site viewpoint: We were the better side until the latter stages of the second half, we could and maybe should have been at least one goal ahead by half-time. We looked like we were going to continue in the same vein in the 2nd but then Killie scored a quick breakaway with Lionel posted missing at the back post, and from then on it was all them. No potency in the 2

Two unchanged sides faced each other in the third last match of the season – Motherwell were playing for pride and points but Caley Thistle had much more at stake. In the end honours were even but this was not enough for the visitors to be sure of SPL safety. Alternative Maryhill saw this one: Bit of a frustrating night. I can't help feeling it's two points thrown away even though I would have taken a point before the game. The first half was very similar to Sunday's ga

Points abegging after Accies Red   Another vital match in the fight for SPL survival. Caley Thistle missed a chance to take three points but the result did push them up a place to ninth. Four points still separate them from bottom club Falkirk with three games left. Hamilton played the final 25 minutes with ten men after James McArthur was shown a straight red card but they managed to hold on for a draw and could even have stolen it in the closing minutes. Vital win at the Alamo   A vital win for the Caley Jags today and who better to get the winner against the Buddies, Ross Tokely. Following an early goalmouth scramble Inverness were awarded a goal as Captain Grant Munro was adjudged to have been the last ICT player to have made contact before the ball crossed the line. Goal for Grantie! Inverness seemed to be in control but what should have been an easily defended ball in from St Mirren saw Hamilton score the equaliser on 70

Points shared   Hamilton hadn't scored in the SPL for 9 1/2 hours, they ended that run 17 minutes into this game when James Gibson put them ahead with his first goal of the season. Filipe Morais had the best chance for the home side in a tepid first half ICT performance when he got a chance just before the break but his lob went agonisingly over the bar. ICT were better in the second half and this time it was Hamilton who paid the price. They time-wasted and sat back for much

Caley Thistle fans were in a confident mood travelling to Aberdeen for todays fixture having secured a deserved victory over St Mirren at home last week. ICTFC have only ever beaten Aberdeen once, and that was on the opening day of the season, however there's never much between the teams and it was only a late goal by McDonald that separated them this afternoon. Inverness dominated early on in the game, but it wasn't long before Aberdeen were dictating the pace and putting on the press
