Late Sole Goal Sinks Binos The third set of fixtures in the KDM Trophy brought Stirling Albion North to face Inverness at the Caledonian SarensPSG Stadium. The hosts had won their previous two Challenge Cup fixtures and the Binos have one win and one defeat. Inverness went with a strong squad, both on the bench and on the park with plenty of attacking options and Ross Millen appeared on the bench. Stirling once again put Robert Duffy between the sticks with their danger expected to come from Ro

Stalemates in the Highlands The olde training ground derby saga continued in the Highlands with Kelty Hearts visiting the Caledonian Sarens PSG Stadium. Up until this meeting, Kelty have struggled to make headway this season lingering near the bottom with the Caley Jags near the top end. Last time the clubs met here back in April Kelty went home with all three points. This term, we opened our League1 campaign with a 3-0 win at Kelty. Could we consolidate our League position, or will Kelty get b

Paul's Birthday Stunner They came North on a seven game losing streak with their Fifer's. Dick Campbell's side are on a worse run than Ross County after opening the season with a solid set of results. They went South with another defeat to add to that list. Scott Kellacher boosted his squad with the addition of Ben Brannan on loan from Kilmarnock until the end of the season. Ben is no stranger having already made eleven appearances for the Caley Jags last season scoring once and making dozens o

Jags Raid the Wasps The Caley Jags got back to winning ways in midweek in a gruelling tussle at the Bayview Gulags and were looking to consolidate their position at the head of the table today against an Alloa side that had other ideas. They would be hell bent on closing the gap at the top end of the table after their big win over Montrose in midweek. With Stenhousemuir playing in Kelty at 17:30, we will have to wait another couple of hours to see how todays results impact at the head of the ta

Alonge Seals the Deal The first of three home games on the trot starting with Montrose today followed by Cove next week then a midweek visit from Peterhead before a tough test at form side Alloa. Stenhousemuir joined us at the top of the table after beating Accies 1-0 in midweek. No room for errors now as we enter matchday 28 with the Warriors at Palmerston and Alloa at home to Kelty Hearts. We made hard work of breaking Montrose down from 25 yards to their keeper. Sharp made two or three reall

Back on Top This was our catch up fixture and all teams have now played 29 games after tonight with only seven League1 fixtures remaining thereafter. It had not been the most productive last fortnight as the Caley Jags crawl towards the finishing line having dropped four points against the bottom two sides. Did we manage to get back on track tonight? Yes we did Inverness were in control of the first 45 with goals from Chanka Zimba and Jordan Alonge. A couple of glaring misses as well but Peter

Caley Jags to the Four David Wotherspoon took a knock in midweek against Tranent but was fit enough to start this one which showed the same starting XI as the Scottish Cup tie against Tranent. Lee Kilday and Scott Robinson missed out for Accies with Newbury and McLuckie coming in. The visitors looked to have a strong starting XI with interim boss Mackinnon on the bench. It was a damp and windy afternoon in the Highlands as the teams took to the park with eight points separating the sides ahead
