Off to a Flyer at New Central Park Scott Kellacher was busy in the transfer market yesterday scooping up Alfie Bavidge, Chanka Zimba and Mitchell Robertson to bolster his squad for the new season in League1. However none of them started with Bavidge and Robertson on the bench. Calum MacLeod filled in at right back with Oscar McIntyre moving to his favoured left back slot. Paul Allan, Ross Millen and Adam MacKinnon missed out again. The Caley Jags gave everyone else a five point head start just

Caley Jags hit Lossie for six Inverness moved into the next round of the North of Scotland Cup after putting six past Lossie before the hour and then giving some game time to the rest of the squad. That should mean we play Strathspey Thistle in the next round on 20th August. Venue TBC although the actual draw gave ICT a home tie. It was a fairly strong squad from the Caley Jags at Grant Park Lossiemouth. Five or six with 1st team games under their belt. Bavidge, Zimba, Robbie Thompson, Stracha

Alfred the Great Provider After Blair Lyons had missed an early chance for Montrose, Alfie Bavidge opened the scoring in the fourth minute. It started in defence where David Wotherspoon won the ball after Joe Chalmers was mugged by four players in midfield. Spoony passed through the middle to Alfie Stewart who spun round before releasing a great ball into the box for Bavidge to run onto and drill home from fifteen yards. Wotherspoon was denied by the keeper soon after and Stewart had an effort

Ten men down at the Links After much speculation over the Links Park pitch, this game went ahead as scheduled at the home of the Gable Endies. Montrose are one of the form sides over recent games with three wins over the last four, and Inverness, despite also losing last week, were still top of the table with two wins and a draw over the last four. Scott Kellacher rang the changes after last weeks lacklustre performance at Stenhousemuir with Sole, Bavidge, Wotherspoon and MacKinnon rested, Zimb

Jags KDM Spot Kick Joy This game went ahead at the second time of asking after wintery weather saw last weeks scheduled fixture postponed. A daunting task ahead for the Caley Jags to take on the second highest ranked team left in the competition behind St Johnstone (who play Ross County tonight). Neither side had been setting the heather on fire recently with Inverness having two defeats and a draw over the last three and Partick with only one win over their last six league games and a 2-0 defe

Billy's Balmoor Birthday Present With Peterhead's home form and current three game winning streak, this was always going to be a tough test of Scott Kellacher's promotion aspirations. Storm Benjamin was due to disrupt at some point and that might have an impact on the way this game pans out. With Alloa hosting leaders Stenhousemuir, could there be the possibility of points being dropped at the top end. In saying that, we have to get our own game back on track after two less than convincing perf

One down three to go After the disappointment of Saturday's game at Ochilview, we had another opportunity to top the table going into the final three games in League1. After tonight, it's a three game sprint for the title. Could the Caley Jags keep their destiny within their own grasp? Chanka Zimba was available after suspension and he led the line with Calum MacLeod retaining his starting place from the weekend and Billy Mckay missing out again. League1 Player of the Month for March, 17 goal K
