Caley Thistle seasoned campaigners Stuart Golabek and Roy McBain have agreed new one year deals with the club which will make their vast experience available for the return to the SPL.

The pair, both 36 and with over 500 appearances between them for Caley Jags, have put pen to paper on new contracts after discussions with manager Terry Butcher.

"I'm very pleased that these two polished performers have signed up for the next part of the club's journey", said Butcher."Stuart and Roy are excellent professionals whose poise and know-how will be of great value to what is a young squad. Their commitment is a further boost to my  Premier Division planning."

Invernessian Golabek  first signed for the club in 1999 and was in the side which scored that epic Scottish Cup win at Celtic in February 2000 and in the one which won the Bells Challenge Cup in 2003. The left back was made team captain in 2004 and won First Division medals that year and again last month.

He rejoined Caley Jags late last August from Ross County and has shown he still has much to contribute. Stuart has made 213 appearances for the club,

Aberdonian Roy McBain also boasts two First Division medals. He played for Dundee United, Dundee and Ross County before joining Caley Jags in 2000, for whom he has chalked up 323 outings. This is his testimonial year.
