  1. Even if we don't make it this season, this run gives me much more confidence going into next season if we can keep the majority of the current squad together with maybe a couple of additions.

  2. Next Tuesday is now the hardest game of the season so far - we must avoid being ambushed. Today was stunning and Nathan's hat trick was the first by an ICT player for some time. Every single player worked very hard but for George, he worked his socks off and whilst he did not score, his workrate was top class.

  3. A quick update.... A meeting between CJT and representatives of those who requisitioned them for the SGM will take place next Wednesday. The meeting will be chaired by someone from Supporters Direct.

  5. Nice thought, but I fear what is rather more likely is that without Vigurs in the side for those 2 difficult games, we may not reach the play offs. The price paid for silly (and unfair) bookings can be high indeed.

  6. Definitely this, we cannot allow ourselves to get carried away thinking a play off place is now expected, we've done incredibly well to get to safety win the cup and now go on a great unbeaten run, and hope realistically to finish as high as possible, anything extra is a bonus. If we fail to secure a play off spot I feel we've done enough to set a platform for starting fresh next season and getting off to the strong start we missed this season and establish ourselves very quickly as a deserved top 3 team at least. Saying that though if the players secure a play off place they will have pulled off an absolutely incredible feat and deserve the full support from every ICT fan in the country and we need to fully get behind everyone of them and that includes polworth, who again today got the brunt of absurd abuse from person(s) after getting a ball to the face. He didn't have his strongest performance granted, but he's still an integral part of our team and my experience of his personality tells me he needs support and encouragement not berating and ridicule. We need to stand behind robbo and the team and do all we can to help them push to the best possible outcome we can. As the old saying goes "United we stand, Divided we fall"

  7. Excellent result - but it's only half-time... ...same again on Tuesday please

  8. Dunfermline are massive favourites to achieve a play off place - they play us and on the final day entertain Dumbarton who will be focussed on the play off match against the Division 2 play off winners. Dundee United have come into form and can virtually guarantee 3 points next Tuesday at Brechin. They have a tricky game at QOS but can afford a defeat if they beat Livingston on the last day of the Championship season. We just have to keep winning and hope and as I said earlier, Dumbarton will provide very stern opposition next Tuesday. The win today keeps our slim hopes alive.

  9. Thought Doran (Cogan) and Calder were excellent today.

  10. Sounds like we're well on top now. Quite rare for us to be in front after conceding first goal. Keep it up lads.

  11. The club has embarrassed themselves with this, apparently they were handed this as they walked into the ground..... superb welcome. Would be interesting to know what the target group for these was.... Like it or not, these fans are the future of our club and need to be encouraged (within the rules) to continue to back the team - yes misbehavior needs to be managed, but issuing a 'scare' to people who so far this season have sat and watched the game in the same manner as everyone else is ridiculous. Worth pointing out to the chairman that at the Irn-Bru Cup final and the Scottish Cup final the main celebrations from the players was towards those creating the atmosphere - these people cannot be ignored and need to be actively encouraged to attend game and continue to support the team. Already I have noticed that various younger members of the group are now attending Nairn games and trying to bring an atmosphere there which I think says a lot about the welcome they have received from Inverness. It may well be too late to recover the relationship with these fans, but those who are still disgruntled need to be addressed as a priority. The current board have discussed their priorities as 'improved communication and collaboration with you the fans our most important and valuable asset' but quite frankly I haven't experienced such a poor relationship between the board and fans since the Mike Smith era. A few of my favorite quotes from our chairman are as follows from his message on the 24th of August. 'I recorded more than 25 subjects for us to follow up and we will get back to you with a list of action points and timescales for delivering them' 'These are all valid issues which we intend to tackle in a priority and managed way' 'It is easy to talk the talk. We have a lot to do to win back your trust by setting out our action plan and delivering this will see us walk the walk' I'll let you decide if these have been followed through... Am I right in thinking that all clubs have a Supporters Liasion Officer? Does anybody know this persons remit? I would expect that they should be managing this situation far closer that they appear to be and Liase a lot closer with the current board and the fans who have been disgruntled since day one of this regime. The fact that this person is so far unknown is laughable and points out that they are clearly failing in this role. 'Don't be drunk in our ground but our bar is open early tomorrow for you'

  13. Just a word about Zak Elbouzadi. We’ve seen very little of him this season but he got a bit of game time today and I thought he did really well. There is genuine competition for places now and lots of options for changing things from the bench. Very encouraging indeed.

  14. After a really well worked Dumbarton goal I feared we might be in for a difficult afternoon, but a great strike soon after from Doran and a very well taken first from Austin before half time settled the nerves. Fair play to Dumbarton, they came here to play a much more open game than in the cup final. In the end it didn’t work and they were exposed time and time again. It will be much a much stuffier Dumbarton we face on Tuesday so we may need a bit of patience in working for the opening.

  15. Its all been said already great team effort today we will have to watch on Tuesday night but should be able to get another 3 points and I hope Brechin get their first win

  16. I don't know Johndo. They are limited company in which case no manner of "we were so busy otherwise" excuses can really be accepted. They are totally and absolutely constrained by companies legislation with which they have failed to comply. If you presume to be the board of a limited company then you are obliged to comply with the appropriate legal requirements - which simply has not so far happened. PS - donview tells me you were round and about earlier with your lovely wife and, presumably thanks solely to her , your doubtless equally lovely daughter - and I missed you.

  17. I thought some of the combination play between Vigures and Polworth was outstanding. They are two players who are on the same wavelength and know instinctively where each other will be. I hope that Polworth can step up as playmaker when Vigures is suspended. Great work from both today.

  18. Hang Feckin on - after all the references to regulations and rules that has smothered this issue how has this been accepted ?

  19. First home game of the season ? Vigurs was a class above today - Austin took his goals well - Oakley was the old fashioned centre forward - Feel sorry for Polly as he was the hardest working player on the park - ok he makes mistakes but he is a Vigurs in the making and we have to cherish and encourage him. I can't believe some of the stick that he got today.

  20. A month ago the play off place that concerned us most was the relegation one. Whatever happens now, we have done incredibly well to turn things round so quickly.

  21. The dream lives on. I'm actually out of the country for the next two weeks, but you can be sure I'll be following our progress online. Vital that we win the next two and then we have a fighting chance. Who would have thought a few weeks ago, that we'd even be daring to dream like this? Best of luck lads.

  22. Great to see Austin racking them up. The brief glimpse we had of him after he signed looked promising. Hope he settles and becomes a regular scorer.

  23. 5-1 up now! Austin with a hat-trick! Sounds like we're on fire. Hopefully we can keep this up for the last 4 games!

  24. Those last 5 games are going to be tough with the absences noted above. If we do come up short this season, I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say that the main reason, over the season, would be our indiscipline. I've stopped counting the number of red and yellow cards we've had, plus the penalties we've conceded. Although marginally better of late it is still an issue that the manager has to get right next season.

  25. maybe just maybe the board should spend their time concentrating on how they can VASTLY improve our financial position. I really can' t believe they even discussed a ban plan.

  26. Thanks The long man. A wee update I was planning something small like £2000 paid every month but I am waiting for a video call with a billionaire company based in America if I close it then I will probably be able to pay out Caley debt of within like 1 year. I know for clubs like Caley size you to be fair need someone like Roy from Ross County. If I remember correctly I think the third biggest sponsor of Caley at the moment meant to be my second cousin so if all does go to plan will probably meet up with him to discuss things if the guy surname is still Ross behind the company then he would be related to me.

  27. Yeah, they play some nice stuff together but Polworth sometimes lets himself down with some bad decisions, ie the ball back in face situation where he did so well to get where he did and then delayed his pass across the box, this gave the defender time to close him down, Dumbarton got their goal from exactly the same place only the winger squared the ball earlier. Polworth had another great run across the box, beating two defenders then missing the goal completely, I'm just a wèe bit disappointed with him just now, think he can do better. But overall today the team were excellent, just wish we had started this run two games earlier.

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.

It's Now or Never: That's what Elvis used to say. We are in deep trouble up to our necks with no signs that we can turn this around. Defeat to Arbroath could be the final nail in our coffin with only fifteen points available to us ahead of this game. The play-offs are looking more likely by the minute, but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that automatic relegation is still an option should Arbroath beat us on Saturday. With the long suffering fans rapidly losing faith in Big Dunc, it's crunch time as Arbroath head North to the venue they won at the last time they were here. Sadly they come to the Caledonian Stadium off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Airdrie, and we could all but relegate them on Saturday with a win. However, that's nothing to gloat about as we could be next...

    • Partick 1-0 Inverness CT - Report
Big Trouble Down the Dump: Billy Mckay was back in the starting XI along with Samson Lawal with Pepple dropping to the bench and Shaw out for the season. Both teams had seven on the bench with Roddy MacGregor getting a rare seat. Scott Robinson scored the only goal of the game just before the break. Inverness were reduced to ten men when Cammy Kerr was sent off just after an hour. Despite creating more opportunities, the points just evaded us.

      Meh!
