I've decided I'm going to ignore the league table and try and just enjoy the football in the hope we get effort (never doubted it from players) and style that generates a bit if excitement.
I think if the support can give the team that kind of freedom and not lump 'survival pressure' on then we'll see the best from them. Let's treat it like a 25 game pre season in preparation for next year.
Financially there's not a great deal of difference between L1 and L2 and Savage has already said the plan is preparation for relegation so I have no additional concerns there.
Agree. The critical aspect for this season assuming survival is to set the foundations and strategy for moving forward. Whether we are league 1 or 2 seems less important than having the fundamentals in place for a sustainable future.

That’s the aspect that I can’t get to grips with. OK… it’s said that the mystery Blue Black and Red Knight would be prepared to follow up “their” £1.2M with more, but £1.2M is chickenfeed compared with the other numbers involved, such is the depth of the club’s financial mire. It’s going to cost £1.6M even to get to the end of the season; debts sit somewhere between £3.4 and £3.8M; and to acquire a controlling interest could cost up to £6.1M… bringing the grand total potentially to over £11M. And then there’s the question of future losses.
The £6.1M takeover figure is what would have to be bought in new shares in order to top the combined total of 4.9 million existing shares and the ST’s fixed 10%. On the other hand if “they” were able to persuade some existing shareholders to part with what they have cheaply, that would reduce.
I’m struggling to see how this bid, which I believe is the one the board took just two hours to reject before, can be made to stand up unless there’s a very big rabbit waiting to jump out of the hat.
You keep assuming that shares would be purchased at 'face value' as part of acquiring a controlling interest. It is much more likely that there will be an offer price at much less than this value on the basis that the shares in effect become worthless if administration/liquidation is the alternative. Any deal would presumably look to right down or restructure debt also.
Still needs a thump of cash.
Setting aside the initial capital/securities requirement, the essential element of any future path is having a strategy for management of the club to avoid reoccurence of the same issues at some point down the road. This needs a bit of vision but also much greater governance than seems to have been taking place over the past years .

This includes looking at the youth coaches.
I'm assuming that there was a SPA associated with the share transaction and this may outline additional financial considerations that may be granted in favour of the club if key milestones are achieved (e.g. Planning Appeal successful). These may be enforceable and viewed as potential income (though nor secured income)

Pretty patterns with limited penetration in our own half and then Brooks misses four guilt edged chances. Groundhog day
-
Created more than enough moments across the game to have won comfortably if we had any cutting edge up front (story of the last 4 years). If a team is to play possession football quality on the ball is critical. We lacked this too often. Woeful officials

Connal is a decent Inverness lad and was with Clach before heading over the bridge. He stood head and shoulders above his peers for most of this time

I keep reading about "they" in relation to the ST. The ST is in effected us all as supporters and for £5 pa anyone can get involved and influence direction. Don't see how sitting outwith and criticising helps supporters have a meaningful voice and just gives oxygen to our inept CE.

Here's a thought. Get us both signed up and we could maybe change the club's name to Seventy7 FC?
Worrying close to Sevco

At least one of the goalkeeper’s came through our Development Teams (just not our)!

Unsecured loans, so they can shout all they want for the money, if we don't have it they can't get it.
High chance we're facing administration anyway, so they'd get nothing back then either.
I'd rather cut the cancer and take a chance on recovery than continue to let it slowly kill us.
And who picks up the poison chalice of running the club? Easy part is to demand change but I don't see a rush of people looking to take things over

Billy Mckay still captain despite Sean Welsh starting.
A bit surprised Ujdur is just on the bench.
Keeping him fit for an impending January sale? We’ve been looking at a number of defensive players and perhaps indicates cashing in.

Game showed where we have been the last few years with a lack of cutting edge up front. The loss of Wotherspoon removes quality and when Billy is removed we are left with nothing.
A process is underway to change how the team plays and unlike under Dodds there is a point to the way we are playing but lack quality in some areas to make a difference. Time is needed to bed in the changes and you could see some of the frustration from Duncan at some points.
Shaw is a major weakness due to him lack of football awareness and having Carson back may allow a change to a more flexible shape than we have been playing since he dropped out.

Nice to see a team that looks coached and has a bit of identity about how they are trying to play after the past seasons of drifting along. Still a work in progress but also nice to not feel the urge to fall asleep

Says it all really Satan, what a sorry state we are in when we’re so crap the chairman is immune from criticism or has no fear of any challenge to his position cause no one would touch it with a barge pole.
Doesn’t fill me with much enthusiasm when it comes round to him assessing the Trust match experience survey recommendations.
Hay Ho, least we won the Snecky Cup!
bcSolution is easy. You just need to invest a chunk of cash, say £1m and you can appoint your own Chairman.
We are in a sorry state and the fact is there are people behind the scenes who have had to put their hands in their pockets to keep the club afloat. Wrong decisions get made when you’re between a rock and a hard place.
On the park we are suffering from an average set of players and average coaches. One of these need to be improved to move forward and both have a potential cost impact.
Have to say however that the current approach of alienating the support seems unlikely to be helpful

Indeed however we should not let individual defensive errors hide the bigger picture.
The difference in the level of coaching between the two teams was stark with Queens having a clear basis to their play hence the ease they could play out from the back. In addition our press is amateur and you feel for the front two chasing around to find that the defenders always had an easy pass. Again standard of coaching.
We had four very good chances to score and executed none. The same lack of cutting edge up front which has affected us for much of the past seasons. Easy game in some ways. Stop the opposition scoring and score at the other end. Too often we create early chances and don’t score only to fall behind and chase the game.
Early in the season and form may pick up however……

Partick chocking but was never a penalty. VAR correct to overturn red card though

Begs the question what Robbo is now doing. Rumour was the the board tried to offload him to cut costs but he was retained to cover the commercial side.

I was told that Ryan Esson has more training tickets than Dodds, Kells and Wilson together, not just goalkeeping but all players, and he’s doing a great job with the under 18s. Could he and Ross Tokely not do a better job between now and the end of the season, given the chance (if they want to), than the aforementioned three.
Just a thought!
Suspect Tokely is having too much fun playing in the Highland League

I also thought the situation with Ridgers was strange, you really only send your reserve keeper out to warm up, if there seems to be an injury problem with the on field keeper. We had a collective, 'ooooooo' moment in the stand, when it happened, and someone stated that Dodds was trying to display a show of strength! Was it because Ridgers never saved the goal? Because it was right after we conceded, if it was, it isn't good for team morale, these are things that should be kept in house, back in the dressing room
The issue was that Ridgers launched the ball up the pitch straight to the opposition keeper and Dodds was not impressed with losing the ball so easily. Straight afterwards the goal was scored.

Performance pretty much the same as our last two home games to be honest. Sloppy with lack of care and poor execution.
We are playing an empty shirt for a centre forward but probably have to accept there is no alternative at the moment.
