  1. Well I got that competely wrong at half-time. Did anyone count the offsides? Going to have to work to learn to avoid that - can't afford to throw away so many chances in such a competitive league. A hard-fought win, but partly because we are still not firing on all cylinders. Difficult to see a structure, or a consistent threat. Walsh had good spells, but ultimately faded. Duku puts himself about but with little luck - perhaps his team-mates should learn that they might get the ball off him in unexpected situations. I only remembered that MacGregor was playing just before he was subbed. But three points are what it's all about!
  2. Agreed. Keep it short, keep it on the ground, and move it quickly. We'll have the sun behind us in the second half, but there's no wind to speak of. Impressed by the way Duku sticks himself into situations where others wouldn't bother. Hasn't paid off yet, but will do at some point. Frustrating how often we were caught offside, but we seem to learned as the game went on.
  3. PPV for Raith game is £15.
  4. I agree with that, especially given the size of the divisions. Having seen even Hearts, Hibs and the Dundee clubs relegated recently, no club apart from the Old Firm and maybe Aberdeen can regard a Premiership place as a given. The frustrating thing is that if the divisions were a sensible size, then we could well be a more permanent fixture in the top flight.
  5. What time would you be passing through Hertfordshire?
  6. Please go away and practise penalties. There will be more important ones than those.
  7. Losing patience with Duku. Wasted a free kick, when he could have tapped it to Doran, who had the gap between the wall and the other clump of players in front of him. And as I type this, Duku is subbed.
  8. Good chance for Duku there, but he seems to need forever before he's ready to fire. Did that a few times on Tuesday, too.
  9. Have just come in from the garden, where we are roasting at 27C, and it is expected to go higher. Will be closing the blinds and firing up the televisual apparatus. Ice-cream for half-time.
  10. I remember a discussion about that - here? - a year or two ago, and it seems that the only football associations in Europe who have blackout periods are Scotland, England... and Montenegro
  11. I phoned the shop. I asked if there will be a PPV option for league games, for exiles like me and for away fans. The answer was "Yes", but they were unable to say what the price will be. My next question - can you guess it? - was whether league games would be streamed live. The answer was "I assume that they will be live". Even if the time comes when home and away fans are allowed into the ground, with no restrictions? "Don't know". The advice was to keep watching the club's social media, for further announcements. They said they'd "have a word" with someone about this, so I asked if clarification about PPV and live streaming could be made. For the moment, then, I will wait and see what is announced about PPV. My alternative would be to buy a season ticket in a back corner of the North Stand, which I hope would not deny a seat to anyone who wanted to attend a match. I also passed on my praise for the live streaming on Tuesday night, which, as we all agree, was far superior to last season's. I know you all think that I am making too much of this. But as I have said earlier, livestreaming of games - especially when there are no restrictions on admission - would be revolutionary in this country, and I'd have expected an announcement, from one or more of the clubs, the SPFL and the SFA. To livestream games requires explicit decisions by the SPFL and the SFA. When I was checking the other day, as well as Championship sides I also looked at Rangers and Hearts, and they seem to be offering only live audio of their Premiership league games. I could also envisage a scenario whereby PPV livestreaming is stopped when attendance restrictions are lifted, but is still available to season ticket holders because they have already paid. The club wouldn't be losing out, other than what they'd spend on food and drink. So maybe I should get a season ticket... Finally, if league games are livestreamed throughout the season, look for a record low attendance at the game on a filthy, freezing mid-week night in February
  12. Can hear him on the livestream. As loquacious as ever Enjoy!
  13. That's what 45 years of working with computers does for you
  14. They could record it and stream it afterwards! However, I have checked elsewhere, and they do indeed appear to be livestreaming league games - see https://scottishfootball.online/showfixtures# and look at August onwards. Using the same portal service as Dunfermline and QoS did last season, which I think worked pretty well.
  15. Sorry, but I do not agree. If you are watching something on Youtube or listening to Spotify, you are streaming, although the content is not of course live. Watching highlights on ICTV, watching a service such as BBC iPlayer, or watching Netflix is also streaming. Apart from a small temporary buffer, the content is not stored on your device, and you do not end up with a copy of the content on your device. The term "livestreaming" is often used when the event is live, such as PPV matches. Download is when you create and store a complete copy of the content on your own device, which you can then subsequently watch/listen to without access to the original site. Will still be phoning, and will report back here.
  16. Thanks, Robert. And yet it still manages to omit one little word - "live". Will be phoning them during the week.
  17. It's ambiguous - I personally would say that it only hints at live streaming. That's why I asked them to confirm, and said that if so, I'd probably buy a season ticket despite being over 500 miles away. No response. It would surely require a change to broadcasting rules, and I'd have thought that such a revolutionary change would have been announced by now by the SPFL/SFA. And there is no mention of streaming in the announcement about tickets for the first League Cup games. I shall continue to not hold my breath.
  18. When they announced the new streaming set-up a couple of weeks ago, I emailed the club asking if matches would be streamed live. Fortunately, I didn't hold my breath waiting for an answer.
  19. Indeed. You have to look closely at the first pic to see the castle.
  20. Hi Steve. You'll find some relatively recent discussions and figures in this thread - https://caleythistleonline.com/topic/32631-all-clubs-attendance-records/
  21. If I ever see Lyndon Dykes again, it will be too soon. Made Harry Kane look like a top footballer
  22. It hasn't stopped raining all day down here, so we'd be better performing as dolphins
  23. Can anyone confirm that the matches will be broadcast live? Because if crowds are also allowed back in, that would be a revolutionary move. Even though I'm 570 miles away - drove it all in one, two weeks ago - I'd consider buying a season ticket if it gave me access to live games. Alternatively, will PPV continue?
  24. Well, you called that one correctly!
