He actually worked on the construction of the road bridge and when it opened in September 1964 I was there with one of the girls from my primary class.

Crossed it that very night - we were heading south to visit relatives in Newtongrange (aka Nitten-by-the-Bing).  The fog was so thick that my Mum had the passenger window down and was telling my Dad how close to the edge of the road we were.

92 employee's?  Wow    I'd like to see the breakdown of that!!!!

Sure - but look along to the right at the pre-pandemic numbers.

And only 70 in May 2021 suggests that quite a number of people are employed for purposes associated with match-day crowds.

.... as a youth, most Saturdays involved a trip to Kingsmills Park to watch Inverness Thistle.

He must have been gutted when they were playing away

If Robbo is on a Mon-Fri 9-5 contract then I guess he can do whatever he wants on his days off, and he chooses to do a bit of media work.

A director of football who doesn't attend first team matches?   They're taking the mickey...

This appears to be the most fervently anticipated game for a long time. Last time I felt like this was Lossiemouth away on a Tuesday night in January.

It is noticeable that the amount of discussion before and after games has significantly decreased.

Scotty will be along soon to prove me wrong with the posting statistics

And it was Rothes in February...

If things don't change and the level of disillusionment continues to increase what are the chances of some form of organised visual protest at a home match to demonstrate the strength of feeling and push for positive change?....

I have twice drafted a suggestion along those lines, and twice deleted it.  The problem is that anything like that is confrontational, and could well make relations between the club management and the fans worse.  Could also damage the relationship between the management and the Supporters' Trust, even if the ST wasn't involved (I am sure they would NOT be).

But, yes, a demo outside the ground before a game, or something inside before a game or at half-time - having tipped off the press beforehand - was what I was thinking of.  If it's outside, talk to the police beforehand to make sure that it's legal and that you won't be done for obstruction or something like that.

But have such actions ever been successful in any way?  I'm thinking about Man U here, and Newcastle.  Dangerous, too - if the management has other things lined up, then they might just get up and leave, putting the club into a worse position than it is now.

Other than continuing to press for better communications, especially via the ST, I can't see a way forward.

AI keep seeing folk saying 'we've no money' yet we have money for sporting director and video analysts etc. Have we seen any notable improvements on the pitch since their inception?

Quite the opposite.  We have become worse.

We do still have Robbo.  But do we still have - did we ever have - a video analyst?

It's now possible to view the report without registering, as we realised some people might be reluctant to do this.

Thank you for doing that.   Your realisation is correct - I looked up your Privacy Policy and your Terms of Use, and saw that I was giving you permission to try to sell stuff to me

  9. To finish off, let's go from the sublime - wouldn't Citroen Sublime have been a great and appropriate model name? - to... well, maybe not the ridiculous, but certainly to the other end of the "sublime" scale.  Two very different Fiats.

  10. After four games in which all we achieved was a one-goal win over the team that was 3rd bottom of the whole League last season?

    I don't have expectation - I have trepidation

Confidence must be at rock bottom just now.  If we continue our current form into the early league games, then avoiding relegation will be the prime objective.

  11. I seem to have photographed mostly American cars this time.  McLarens and Ferraris are simply ten a penny, my dear

Don't know what model of Cadillac this is, but if you fancy putting in an offer for it, give Mark a ring - his number's at the front of it.  Might need a bigger garage though.  And I'd advise keeping clear of the Rose Street multi-storey....

"She had fun, fun, fun, till her Daddy...." .   Though I'm sure that hers would have been a convertible.
