Shaw is a right winger
Right??? He's so left-footed, his right one is only there to make up the numbers

We couldn't score in a brothel
Exactly what I said to my wife!
Not impressed by Carragher. Too many safe, easy passes that did nothing, and lucky not be booked.
But that's not where the problem is. I have a can of 3-IN-ONE that has more penetrative power...

Yeah also can't understand why didn't hold out for even a small fee given he was still under contract until the summer
Well, giving someone a free is often a sign of appreciation by a club - not standing in the way of a move that the player wants.
With a more business-like hat on, it may be that even a small fee might have scuppered the deal, in which case we'd have been paying his wages until the summer.

Why do we always wait until mid transfer window to sign players
Takes that long to process the queue of hopefuls at the stadium?

BBC: "David Carson (Inverness CT) is shown the yellow card for a bad foul.".
Back to full fitness, then

I seem to recall it was a deliberate decision to have the names of Thistle and Caledonian in a different order in the Club and team names.
Caledonian Thistle comes off the tongue better than Thistle Caledonian. But I wouldn't be surprised if Jock McDonald was behind the ordering in the company name!

Why the need to change it?
Plenty of companies are registered under names which are mostly or wholly unrelated to their trading names or brands.

The only pickup option is collection from the stadium shop.
Please add mail order for exiles like me!
Or include it in the club's online shop.
PS I have used the "contact us" email link on the Trust's website. Automatic reply - out till 08 January

Waited until we had put away four goals before making the subs.
A lesson learned from last week, I think - don't disrupt the team if they're playing well.

Would it not be better to have the rule amended so that any clear grass between the line and the ball means it has crossed the line?
That would only work if the ball was on the ground. And you can't have one law for when it's on the ground and one for when it's in the air!
There are no easy answers - no cheap ones anyway.

I wondered at the time if it was wise taking off Mckay and Wotherspoon.
I know they are not defence, but maybe it upset the way the whole team was playing?
-
2-0 - Wotherspoon & Mckay. Never in doubt
Correction - Carson replaced Duffy on 70, and Lodovica replaced Longstaff on 90+1.
-
The cavalry has arrived - Wotherspoon, Lodovica and Mckay. Brooks, Duffy and Sheridan off.

HT 0-0. BBC says we've had one shot in the first half, which appears to have been in the 14th minute.
I am sure that Big Dunc will (have to) be restrained, as usual

Robbo or Dodds
We'd surely hope for Dodds. And then we'd pass them in opposite directions after the end of the season.

Many thanks guys. We did Arran on the second day of the tour. Would this image also be on Arran?
I'd guess that you were beside the ruined castle at Lochranza in the north of the island?

Duelling Banjos
We were in Arisaig for a weekend last year. There was an Americana festival on - not why we were there.
Walking back down to the hotel, we came across one of the locals, who had a face that only his Mum could love, sitting at the gate into his garden, checking out everyone going past, and picking on a banjo.
My wife has never seen the film, so she had no idea what I meant when I said "<expletive deleted>! We've just stumbled into Deliverance."

If any other exiles are interested in this book, the Trust's website now has a mail order option. (Though I haven't tried it with a non-UK address).
They have good stock of the book.
Many thanks to Mark Watson at the Trust for his help!
