  1. To be fair the seller has only got the dates wrong.

The real reason they're ultra rare is because the handles were cr@p and broke off.

That's what happened to mine anyway. Binned after about 2 months as I recall!

Apart from all the guff here, trying to work out why all the media luvvies think Partick are the big team...

The all spout the same sh!te that Partick were held to a draw........

Hold on a minute, but God forbid, here's another view:

Inverness were held to a draw???

Why are we always subject to these central belt weegie headlines. It completely misconstrues the situation.

    Meh!

Yes, noticed that on the BBC match report.

Thought it was a thoroughly entertaining match and apart from the first 10 minutes or so, we pretty much controlled the game.

Now if only we could score . . .

ICT/Celtic and ICT/Rangers fans are pathetic.

I would say that, although most would deny it, the majority of ICT fans have either a Celtic or Rangers bias.

This is pretty much a fact of life among Scottish football fans, and there's not a lot we can do about it - we just have to accommodate it.

Given Scott Brown couldn’t settle in Aberdeen, I have my doubts he would settle in Inverness.

Not the way we should go IMO, but what do I know.

Wasn't that more to do with his incompatibility with Jim Goodwin?

I think Broonie could do a decent job.

He'd certainly inject some passion into the team and it might be a good platform to progress to the job he really wants!

Of course going for Broonie would be more popular with the ICT/Celtic fans than the ICT/Rangers ones.

Pure ICT fans might be more positive about his potential appointment.

    Player/manager maybe!

Could this be a devious ploy planned by Roy MacGregor and Steve Ferguson utilising his three apparent Tinkerville Traitors.  All we need is Claudia Winkleman to be challenged on the Witness Shuffle?

Well our demise would certainly be to the benefit of Ross County.

Let's face it, Inverness is too small a town to sustain two senior teams.

I know now why they gave Dodds a new 2 year contract and not get in a new manager.... No other manager with any self morales would allow a club to dictate to him what results he's allowed to achieve and when to back off

Hmmm - don't think it's in the nature of a Scotland International to deliberately throw a game.

Watched all 3 episodes so far. A really good insight into CalMac. I didn't realise some crews stay aboard for two weeks. I'd defo need sea legs for that job. Great program.

On the bigger boats we worked 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, living aboard during our on-time. Cabins are compact but comfortable, and with ensuite shower and toilet on the newer boats.

2 on, 2 off sounds good, but we'd be working minimum 12 hours a day, which equates to at least an 84 hour week.

However, most of us were happy to get all the work done in a lump and then have 2 weeks uninterrupted leave.

  8. Worked a few years with Calmac Ferries - recognised some familiar faces on Island Crossings.

Recommended viewing for anyone interested in the behind-the-scenes aspect.

When all said and done perhaps we need a reality check. We remain in the second tier of Scottish football because we are a mediocre team not ready for the top flight. The club has no money and no sugar daddy so we rely on our young up and coming players, which in many ways is good. However,we have to look for buys from the lower English leagues ,or from clubs who are moving on players in their twilight years.Yesterday was a perfect day for the opening game of a new season.2000 turned up.The product on display was much the same as the last few seasons. Some promising, some hard working with a bit of skill and others. The guys on the field do their best I am sure but when confidence is low they need reassurance, encouragement, support and understanding. We need to back the team we have, like it or not.BD has just signed a new deal,he is going nowhere and those around him are happy to be in a job so they are not going  anywhere, that means we have to try and influence their(Chair,CEO,Manager and coaches) thinking in other ways by speaking with them, writing to them and by doing what we are doing on this forum and not by sitting around and just putting up with the same old year in year out We need stronger voices within the fan base demanding improvement.

The reality is that we are aiming for top half of top half of table. We are not going to get promoted this season,so let's do the best we can with what we have got until a sugar daddy arrives or the club can get itself turned around.

    Excellent post!

The only bit I would take issue with is the bit about promotion. There is always the possibility, admittedly unlikely, that things may pick up and we're up there.

    Otherwise, spot on!

    What gibberish.

John Hughes was part of our premiership era, arguably the peak, and as you say our finances were healthier then.

We still have generous donors who are covering the eye watering loses from the last couple of seasons.  We are still working on a premier league budget in the championship.

It's not the amount of money we're spending, it's the fact we're spending it on huge numbers of coaching staff, sporting directors, sports scientists, video analysts etc. and seeing zero benefit.

It's bizarrely amusing that we have had so many injuries since introducing a dedicated sports scientist, played some of the dullest football since introducing more coaches, have been found lacking on player recruitment since bringing in a sporting director and put out the shodiest highlights since employing a video analyst!

Aye ok then, we're a Premiership team.

Just happen to be languishing in the Championship for a few years!

The SPL/Premiership has, until recently, been our level.

Our finances were much healthier then.

As a result of gross over-spending during the John Hughes era we are where we are now - a Championship team.

That is our current level, until we can find a generous donor.

  12. I know it won't please everybody but we've got to be realistic. Dodds is happy to stay and he's no really that bad. Better the devil you know!

Getting somebody new in is risky and probably costly. As mentioned before, Dodds knows the squad, knows what's needed to improve it and I think is a safe bet.

There seems to be an expectancy among some supporters that we should be a Premiership team because we once were. We are in fact a Championship team - that is our level - and the occasional foray into the Premiership is not out of the question, although to stay in the top league we would really need a generous benefactor.

Get behind Dodds and who knows what'll happen!

The Polite Notice applies to fans only. The squad are not ICT fans, they are employees of the club. The CEO should leave for being incompetent.

    It's not a polite notice.

And YOUR views about who is not welcome at Tulloch Caledonian Stadium are clearly not representative of most fans.
