Started at 2 and as there is still an extremely slight glimmer of hope of making the play-offs, I'm finishing at 2, having reached the dizzy heights of 4 somewhere in between.
IHE, I look forward to your final analysis and conclusion, should such things emerge!

In the not-too-distant future Mr. MacGregor might become aware of the folly of pouring millions of pounds into a wee village team for little or no return, and direct his wealth elsewhere.
Then where would Ross County be? Just another Gretna.
Perhaps the Staggies will be the ones looking for a merger, to prevent a humiliating return to the Highland League!

We've had great expectations before on the back of a flash-in-the-pan sensational result, only to have our hopes dashed.
I'm up to a cautious 4 for now.
-
Up to 2 now, as we currently have a decent record against Ayrshire teams.

One thing I always remember about Yogi's time with us was he always went on about ball retention, if we look after the ball, we control the game. Far too many times we get caught in possession or give the ball away cheaply. So, until we change tactics, it's only going to remain at the lowest ebb for the foreseeable.
Absolutely!
Yogi turned a bunch of 2nd rate players into a potent unit that was an absolute joy to watch!
(Apologies - off topic)

Still 1 here.
We need to start winning for my score to increase.
Unfortunately we don't seem to be able to raise our game against the lower teams in the league. (not that there's many below us now!)
Except Cove.

Well it wasn't a humping but with a huge incentive to win this one we still managed to lose.
That'll be a 1 then, and can't see that changing for the foreseeable.

We were really good last week though.... I can't explain it other than as fluke?
Just shows what the players are capable of when they choose to rise to the occasion.

For those who were at both games what the feck happened??
When you play a Premiership team you try harder.
When you play a wee team you don't bother.

Immediately after the Hamilton drubbing I was probably off the scale, however, having slept on it and considered everything I'm back at 2.
Not quite 1 yet but we'll see what happens on Tuesday.
Another humping then and I'll be giving up all hope for this season.
(All hope for promotion, that is. Hope for avoidance of relegation is another story!)

Bearing in mind that a post match-reaction to a pitiful humping might knock a point or 2 off one's score, I would say that after the Queens Park Cup game I'd sunk to a 1, climbing back up to somewhere about the 2 side of between 2 and 3 by the morning of the Livi game - not out of renewed optimism mind you, but more out of a gradual lifting of the Queens Park post-match depression.
Similarly, after the Livi game I was away up to 8 but now a more realistic 4 as I realise we're much more likely to raise our game against Livingston than against Hamilton.
So to summarise:
2 prior to Livi game
4 now

All in all though, it's a very sad story of the rise and fall of our club.
Wonder if we'll rise again.
Or was that it?

It is also the point where we can see the start if the slow grinding decline of the club both on and off the park to the place we are now.
Think that was when we WON the Scottish Cup, a few years later!

Wish I'd gone to the game now.

Sadly the most effective protest is happening right now - consistently poor performances on the pitch lead to falling attendances in the stands.
Less income for the club - insufficient funds to keep good players.
It seems to me the solution is a more entertaining match-day experience, a few wins for example, and a team that is entertaining to watch. That'll draw the punters in!
The thing is, we have some very good players, with great individual skills . . . . . . . !

I have a feeling this could spell the end for our WORST MANAGER EVER so I felt I'd start this thread to see what you guys come up with, of which I hope are serious not fantasy names such as Pep eg.
I have a feeling managers like Stuart Kettlewell and Paul Hartley could be in contention and tbh both would get a no from me as my preference would be Barry Robson (which is highly unlikely) or someone else making his debut as a manager.
All I can say is, I am giving up until Dudds is GONE because I have had just about enough of this Dross EVERY F****** WEEK !
And would you be the super-rich sugar-daddy the team and fans have been craving?
Cos somebody would need to pay for all that!!

There were calls last season for Tokely to be given a shot at management, I think as a result of his extremely insightful comments in the press and on ICTV livestream commentaries.
Who knows, Tokely and Esson could be the killer combination we need!

An educated and informed member of the forum, he often managed to bring a bit of common sense to a heated discussion.
I too enjoyed his posts and he will be greatly missed.

Was this a team of Invernessians? When was the last time we managed that anyone?
I love this idea, and see it as the only way forward for our ailing team.
Unless of course we can snare a sugar-daddy!

The piggy bank is empty and unless some generous, wealthy donor comes along we'll just have to accept that we're at our level.
Best chance is to direct our limited resources to nurturing local talent and bringing youth players through the ranks.

I might have agreed with you if he'd won a Scottish cap, like Ryan Christie.
Of course, we might argue that standards were higher back then!
