Now that Engurland are out I can look at it a bit more unbiasedly. The England management, players and media became obsessed with Suarez and his injury and the fact he could not be fit. When they saw him lining up against them it physiologically hit them hard. Uruguay are no world beaters but England beat themselves. Never mind they've still got Howard Webb in the tournament.

MacBookies have Butcher at 66/1 to be next England manager. Now that would be fun.

May mean nothing but I see Considine has been given the number 3 shirt in Aberdeen squad list.

I did. I even took my dogs to Stranraer but I didn't donate.

Nah..think I'll give a miss. Seen this film several times before....

Somebody on twitter saying Ross C*unty at home first game. Kilmarnock away second.
Note to self. Don't believe social media.

Ryan Conroy released by Dundee. Thought he was a decent left winger at Q of the S. Still only 27.

Calvin Zola just got released for da sheep. Good too have on the bench
Good to have as a bench because he isn't a footballer.

Me plus wife and so far 7 West Brom supporting relatives. Plan is a wedding on Friday and game Saturday with much alcohol between the two. Couldn't believe this when it was announced with us already being in Brum for the weekend.

Says something though when we do not want them and they do !
Forever in our shadows indeed!!!
Because we signed Wilson. Rankin, Cowie, Hislop, Barrowman etc. from who?

Or,
Is it possible to demolish the west side of ground and build 3/4 5aside pitches in it's place? Could also build a social club with changing room facilities
We could pay for all this by selling advertising space on the playing strips.

Ffs! I realise it's extra money for the club but thats now a main sponsor, short sponsor and now a 'back of the shirt' sponsor. Cringe!!! How long before we start looking like a Japanese pro-league side, all for a little few more pennies
No more sponsors than last season, just different names. Subway for Orion Group on the front, Korries for Orion Jobs on the back and the same shorts sponsor. Good for the club and also for the sponsors.

Oh well, looks like he'll have to suffice with the own brand bottles of Claret for a bit. Haw haw haw!
He can stay well away. Made his bed.
I'd take Marsella back though I reckon.
You might, but I don't think the players would!!

I think there maybe a song for this.
"Down the Bru, with Terry and Mo. Down the Bru with Terry and Mo".

Divedee United are apparently now interested as Robertson is going to Everton. I would not want him to go to Aberdeen, but would hate him to go to the cheating, greeting, diving, moaning sad excuse of a football club.

What's this nonsense am currently hearing that they are only worth the value of their basic pay outstanding on their contracts is this true
It's called "The Webster Clause" after Andy Webster and it means a player can buy out the last year of his contract. I don't know how it works but it is in place and is not sh!te.

Owain Tudur Jones is looking forward to a taste of European football with Hibernian next month.
The 28-year-old Wales midfielder signed a two-year deal at Easter Road after rejecting an offer to extend his stay with Inverness CT.
And the Edinburgh side will take on Ireland's Drogheda or Malmo of Sweden in the Europa League qualifiers.
"I can't wait," Jones told BBC Scotland. "It's something different to the SPL."
How'd that work out for you, eh Owain?
Glad you wanted something different from the SPL - Hibs have delivered that in spades for you next season,
Having spoken to OTJ on a few occasions just before he left there was more to his leaving than this usual "New club, new challenge" tripe that is always trotted out. He sat with ICT fans at the semi-final and has a lot of time for our club and fans.

It's excellent we have a settled squad and don"t have to spend the close season searching for half a team as in the past, but a couple of new faces always freshens up a club and builds up excitement amongst fans. The best signings we could make would be Shinnie, Mckay, Meekings etc. on extended deals.

McPake?
He is utter pish. He flies into far too many reckless challenges after giving the ball away or as a result of poor positioning or just a general inability to interpret situations without someone painting him a picture first. One of those defenders who thinks a nice big thundering challenge is the order of the day at any point during the game.
Here is a classic McPake challenge (40 seconds in)
No lover of McPake but you could show videos of Warren, Meekings, Tremarco, Foran, Tansey and Watkins all doing similar last season.
But I agree McPake is gash.

Got promoted via play offs today so now in League 1.
Cod Army won 1-0 so will be keeping an eye on how this lad does.
Signed a three year deal with Leeds and will be back there next season.

Can"t comment on currant players but on the Munro, Duncan and Tokely situation I personally think it was the right decision at the time and the progression of the club since has proved this. Still doesn't stop me laughing at Butcher and Petrie. Butcher in the stand at Easter Road when still our manager has come back on him now.
