These matches are arranged to give players game time so I don't think people should read too much into the results aspect. Having watched endless world cup games, you can see where Yogi is coming from regarding ball retention but we are presently lacking the quality final ball into scoring areas. We will no doubt have to wait and see if we are capable of making this happen but the longer we go without creating scoring chances the more difficult it is going to get.
Ball retention at the World Cup was imperative because of the heat and conditions, but as Spain, Italy and a few others found out it had to be backed up by fast incisive attacking play. The best teams had both. A statement I've heard more than once in the last month is "Tikka Takka is dead R.I.P"

I hope the the "eat fresh" bit of the logo isn't on our "new" shirts
I guarantee it will be. It's a corporate logo and a Reg. Trademark.

Flat first half followed by a flatter second half. Passed and kept the ball well but posed little threat. Plus points: Draper cruised through at CB in the 2nd half and Meekings at right back was our most attacking player. Negatives: Vincent is still struggling in mid field and we seem to want every player to touch the ball before putting it in the box.

At any point has anyone said Subway mascot would be at the stadium on match days? It seems to me it's being used in the media marketing of the clubs new sponsor.Nessie the Monster is at least identifiable to the local area. ICat was rubbish by the way.
Why do we need to have a sponsors mascot anyway? Why didn't we have a dancing oil rig for Orion? Or a big plane for Flybe? Or how about a big dancing videotape player for when we had Sharp? A sandwich is cringeworthy IMO.
It's about time people stopped looking for any little thing to show outrage about and concert all their efforts in getting behind the club.
( Notice I say club, but still think Hughes is the wrong man).

I don't have a problem with having the name of a company on the kit, but having that big sandwich mascot walking around pitchside at every game would be an embarrassment IMO.
Yes because a green monster and an oversized cat are so dignified. Why would a mascot embarrass fans. Most if not all club mascots are pointless and the Subway mascot is for a company not the club.

Maybe the design is so controversial that releasing it will affect season ticket sales and the powers that be are holding it back. I think it could be yellow and green with pictures of salad vegetables on it.

Aye that last paragraph has been typed up by his agent
Aye I agree. Up until last night nobody over here had heard of the guy. Now he's more wanted than Bin Ladin was.

Hopefully the French trialist will get some game-time against Fort William on Saturday. Will help with his fitness and may even get amongst the goals!
Although advertised as an ICT U20 game, I'm sure there's no obligation to field only the youth players. Even officially sanctioned SPFL U20's games allow 3 (I think) overage players.
Hughes told STV that he has now gone back home but will sign him if it's financially right for the club.

Let's look on the positive side. The home shirt will be available long before the 2015/2016 season starts.

If they play in red and black, I won't be going near them until they change their colours
I'm sure they are absolutely gutted by this news.

Did the Chilian Panilla play at the TCS when he was at Hearts?

Unfortunatlely kit manufacturers such as Nike and Adidas pour so much money into clubs and national associations that they have started to dictate terms. A story doing the rounds at the moment is that Nike are telling Arsenal to by Mario Balotelli before the new kit launch to increase shirt sales.
That would indeed be sensational, especially when you consider Arsenal's kit is now made by Puma.
Oops! But you know what I mean.

A Brummie ask's what is the quickest way to get from London to Birmingham buy rail. The ticket office guy says "You take the Slough train". The Brummie says "Sod that, I want to take the fast train."
Boom, Boom.

What does the star above the Killie crest represent?
50 years since they won their only league title.
-
If he does it again, which must surely be a distinct possibility, the only appropriate censure must be a two year ban.
Why don't they just make him wear a muzzle during games?
-
Apparently he did it because it was a Chewsday .... hopes to play for Hungary in the next world cup
You're making a meal out of this. It's time we got our teeth into something else.

I think we should have a referendum on September 14th to decide if we stay in this "Union" or if Caley and Thistle should go it alone.

According to someone "ITK" (puke) on Twitter claiming the Aberdeen deal for Shinnie is off. Funny because no-one, apart from Aberdeen fans, ever believed the deal was on. One good season in 5 and they think they are Man. City.

It will be a very sad day for Inverness football should a plastic pitch be laid and in my opinion makes a mockery of top flight football in Scotland
The likes of Hamilton and Kilmarnock are an absolute disgrace and what they are doing is cheating by gaining an advantage on all the other teams
Football started on grass over 100years ago and that's the way it should remain, what will happen next vendors going up and down the aisles selling hot dogs and pop corn, disney characters making guest appearances at half time?
It might have escaped some but Scottish football is in the worst state it's ever been I don't see how creating a mini MLS is the way forward
Dougal
So we should still have a heavy leather ball with lace up, goalies wearing wooly jumpers and flat caps boots should be ankle high and goal post square. These were all in place a hundred years ago. Progress happens and if synthetic pitches can save clubs going out of business and be used by the communities as well I'm all for it.

WARNING....toys ejected from prams can cause a trip hazard. Proceed with caution.
Don"t think anyone has thrown their toys out of the pram. People are reacting to direct quotes from Yogi and I can see why.
Personally I think we will, or already have, signed at least two players. If the players are still under contract 'til 1st July we have in the past not announced players until they are actually free. Players who have been offered a new contract by their present club but have agreed to join us.

“The funds from the deal will go straight in to manager John Hughes’ football department budget".
Quote by Kenny Cameron taken from the ICT official website. There is obviously money to spend and in Yogi's recent quote one could only assume that Yogi is doing his due diligence properly so we don't overspend on the wrong players. As Sneckboy correctly points out Yogi did say before the season starts he didn't see it likely but the window would still be open for at least 3 weeks after that.
In saying that could it be possible we could be promoting within though?
The quote says the money is for the player budget. This could mean improved deals for Shinnie, Mckay, Meekings etc.
Hughes has stated before that Marley could play as a forward. Anyway Barcelona play with a false nine so we could sell Billy.

Am I the only person getting confused by what's being quoted to the press (or at least what's being printed)?
