    Hibs Game

Never gave her the money as I was too busy trying to keep up with the shenanigans of the rest of the No. 1 bus crew - brilliant banter all day 8) Only bad thing about the journey down was some odd stop in Aviemore for no apparent reason. Good banter in the pub at Perth but because of the delay at Aviemore it was straight into the ground for the game. No hassles at the turnstile - student tickets for a tenner - soopah! Atmosphere brilliant right from the off and we had some good chances mainly arising from breaking up any forward movement from the Hibs defence with some of their players dallying on the ball on a few occasions. Wyness had a cracking chance to open the scoring but shot at the keeper. Morgan linked well with Hastings down the left side of the pitch as well I thought and Caff seemed to get more reliable as the game wore on after a wee bit of a nervy start I thought. Second half was more of the same - pretty end to end at times I thought. The ball was being moved about pretty quickly by both sets of players. Riordan and Sproule were a threat but as the game wore on Riordan was nullified and you could see his frustration by the end. An incredible finish from Dods saw us take the lead. A long through from Munro wasn't cleared and Grant followed up and stooped to header the ball back into the box. A wee bit of a stramash followed before Dods - I initially thought Wyness - fired home to send the Away support into raptures. We continued to look for a killer but at times were caught on the break but our back line stood firm and we always had Brown to call upon as he showed when he produced a finger tip save from a Riordan free kick. Wilson got the killer second from the penalty spot after what appeared to be a blatant trip on him but apparently there is some debate over this. I won't see the highlights this week so don't think I will really be able to comment too much on it but I was relieved to see him tuck it away and confirm the result that sent us back into 6th spot. Hope we can get the win we all want next week against the Dons - getting the train through with them should be interesting! Best bit of the day was meeting some of the players outside the ground while we waited for our bus to return to pick us up and my new avatar is the legend that is Ian Black who had one of his kids posing with him for pictures. I got all excited when I saw him

    Hearts & Rix

I've been looking at the Hearts message board and the best quote was one guy saying that this was normal practice and that they were going down the European route of manager management Aye that's right - sack him a couple of weeks before your Cup Semi appearence and the final run in for the league

What about the train? Would that be any quicker do you think?
  7. Aye and feel free to blend in on Saturday as well if you want! :D I've just realised how dodgy that quote sounds!
  8. Bit of a farce eh?

    Away Day @ Hibs

Ach it's a long story. She can make it now though. She wasn't going to be able to go after something that happened at the weekend. But now she can come through on the Saturday for the game so she will be there and Sian is looking forward to it as well - you should be at full strength!

    Celtic Game

Certainly from what I heard on the radio it sounded like we were a bit off the pace in the first half but did have some chances to score. But we were much improved in the second half creating a good few chances to get the equaliser but then fell to Maloney scoring from a free kick again. Seemed to be the final nail in the coffin but Hart grabbed a consolation right at the death. We certainly weren't overawed (spelling?) by Celtic which was very encouraging and we need to keep that attitude going into an important game on Saturday in which avoiding defeat is very important if we want to get this top 6 spot.

    Hibs Game

The BBC said 3pm when I looked at their fixture list yesterday. Think it will be. Can't think of a reason for it to change.

Aye no driving it for you this time I'm still going but it appears that Laura might not be able to go now :(

    Away Day @ Hibs

Good stuff! I would join in but I will have a Ref to abuse and songs to sing so I can't be distracted from that to take the time to dress up! I'll mind and take a camera down to get a snap of you all

Get some photos? Laura is going but given her ability to lose things I wouldn't expect her to mind and take a camera to the game or back afterwards!

No way can I afford this so I think I will have a wee scour of the net and see if it is on Setanta and then watch it over the PC 8)

I believe it is a certain sugar daddy who is helping you out with all this? Fair play to him if this is true!
  20. Has anyone ever been to or bought from a car auction before? I think there is one down near Perth? I need to get a car for my MSc project and need one cheapish and I believe that these auctions are normally quite good at providing that? I know obviously some folk think that they are a bit dodgy but I have also heard the flip side that they are ideal for garages to get rid of old stock which isn't worth keeping out on the showroom floor as the money made from it is minimal compared to putting a newer car out on show. Any help appreciated
  21. Anyone going along to this one? I had toyed with the idea but I think I best keep as much money as possible for all things ICT. More the cost of the train that puts me off more than anything especially when I will need to do the journey again for the Hibees game. Hope there are loads of folk there cheering on the guys making their Scotland 'debuts' and hopefully someone will sing Happy Birthday to Ian Black :)

    Hearts game

No real reaction to this game so I'll just say that I was a bit gutted we couldn't turn our dominance into 3 points. I would have liked to have seen us work Gordon a bit more than we did as most of the shots just really 'rolled' into his arms, especially in the second half. Hearts offered very little in terms of attacking talent I felt, much like the game down at Tynie earlier this season. Stand outs for us were definately Hart, Duncan and Morgan IMO anyway. I thought Hart was solid in the tackle and shut down any threat downt he Hearts left hand side while Duncan mopped up some stray passes in the midfield pretty effectively. Morgan whipped in some good balls as well to test the Hearts defence. Meet lg in the Innes and I believe RibTickler as well? Bring on Hibs! I can't wait two weeks for the football again

    Hearts game

Did Yngwie take my attempt at a joke regarding the music the wrong way? I feel pretty bad now actually :( In the mean time Hearts have ruled out the following; Rudi Skacel (ankle) Edgaras Jankauskas (dead leg) Steven Pressley (virus) Julien Brellier (suspended) But Hartley is back after suspension.

If you haven't seen it lg then Sian (Caley Girl) is up for helping out if you need the numbers at Hibs?

    Away Day @ Hibs

I have told her about it and she seems keen - she just wants to hang around Kath more though!!! As for the tickets I have hunted about on the Hibs site but gotten nothing. However if Home prices are a rough guide I think it is something like £17 for adults and £10 for concessions. Hoping my Student card can be used!!!
