ICT 1-1 CELTIC (20/08/06)
Let's see if CC makes any changes at H-T to combat that - still think that we can get at least a draw from this game - any reports on the crowd - sell-out?

Official ICT Web site
Firstly - Scotty and the others who worked so hard on the club's "Official" web-site over the last 12 years - indeed well done for all the hard work and dedication it takes. In my opinion I thought the old Sport Network official/unofficial site was extremely successful (and that was purely down to the dedication of those running it - which I don't think was appreciated by everybody who visited the sites over the years) and it became increasingly more popular as the club progressed through the leagues. Now with the club in the SPL etc they should be running their own web-site and providing the dedicated resources to do it but I like many others will continue to use the Unofficial Sneck site as my main source of information. I am sure the Official site will improve as it goes forward - It will take a lot of hard work and dedication but at least they have got it up and running and it is a case of 'watch this space'. The good thing is those that have provided us with sevaral web-sites over the years will be able to concentrate totally on the Sneck site and not have the extra burden of trying to run two sites with two different sets of requirements - that for sure is not easy. To the new official ICT web-site team - Good luck as there is a lot of hard work required (but you probably know that) To the Sneck team - thanks again for all the efforts to date - I for one are very grateful especialy when like many others I have been overseas for all of those years :clapping04:

Just noticed the new official web site - I guess it was launched today was it? It looks ok - looking forward to see what the new on-line club shop will be like when it is finished.

Dods
I take it back - Celtic are reported to have offered £600K for Lee Naylor (26yo left back) from Wolves - more money than sense me tinks.... :017:
-
Dods
Not sure if I agree either Sandy - when I saw the headline on the BBC sports page that DU up offer and then saw new offer had gone up £10K to £35K couldn't believe like others that they had originally bid £25K for one of last season's top performers in the SPL. Irrespective of age (only 31) and less than a year left on his contract this is taking the preverbial 'Michael'. A figure in the region of £35K for a player who played so well last season is unbelievable in my opinion especially considering some of the prices being banded around for players south of the border. In my opinion £100K would be an acceptable price and there is no way DU or any other SPL club will pay that. Anyway as the club said he is not going anywhere - especially not for £35K :017:

league cup 2nd round draw
Latest Odds are: Celtic 13/8 Rangers 7/4 Hearts 5/1 Hibernian 14/1 Aberdeen 20/1 Kilmarnock 25/1 Inverness 28/1 Gretna 33/1 Motherwell 33/1 Dundee Utd 40/1 Dunfermline 66/1 Falkirk 66/1 St Mirren 66/1 Hamilton 100/1 Livingston 100/1 St Johnstone 100/1 Ross County 150/1 Partick 200/1 QOS 200/1 Airdrie 250/1 Interesting that Dumbarton not even listed - oh and after last seasons exploits (not withstanding their UEFA cup drubbing) Gretna are seen as a safer bet than several SPL clubs. County at 150/1 - any takers :001:

Are Home Crowds Falling ?
Not surprised - the club seemingly doesn't need our money. As I live overseas I e-mailed the club about a month ago (using the e-mail address given on the official site) as I had a few questions I wanted answering before getting a season ticket for a family member as a present. The club never even responded so obviously it can't be because they are not @rsed it must be becasuse they have so much money that they don't need extra revenue from season tickets. :008:

Team for Hibs
This weekends squads announced are as below but after what was reported last weekend they are probably bobbins as well :001: Teams: Inverness CT (from): Brown, Tokely, Dods, Munro, Hastings, Wilson, Black, McBain, McAllister, Rankin, Wyness, Bayne, Dargo, Keogh, Fraser, McCaffrey, Duncan, Sutherland. Hibernian (from): Simon Brown, Whittaker, Jones, Hogg, Murphy, Shiels, Sproule, Scott Brown, Thomson, Stewart, Dalglish, Fletcher, Killen, Benjelloun, Malkowski, Glass, Shields, Konde, Zemmama. I would like to see: ------------- Brown ---------------- Tokely -- Dods -- Munro -- Hastings Wilson -- Black -- Rankin -- Morgan Dargo -- Wyness oh and at least three goals from Dargo as I have him at 33/1 to be in the top three SPL goalscorers :001:

Normal Service Resumed
Although hugely disappointed with yesterday's result - apart from last season's 2-0 win at Falkirk if I am not correct we usually have poor starts to seasons. Tried to find the data that shows our first day results over the last 10 years but couldn't find it in new format but I am pretty sure down the seasons we have had poor opening games and in some seasons 3 or 4 game runs - I am sure someone can confirm this. At the end of the day although disappointing it is only one game so hopefully the players will learn from yesterday's game and we will see a much improved performance against Aberdeen. Still feel at least one new face at the club on the playing side would also help just to improve competition.
