  1. Its dead in the water. Whats left on here is simply an archive. We have plenty of 'site space' so no need to delete it. This was a Kenny Cameron initiative many years ago at two different times. Once with just us and once when it was supposed to run in conjunction with both us and the Courier. There are no plans (on our side) to revive it. It was always a challenge to get already overworked staff at the stadium to try and answer those questions and nowadays with Twitter/Facebook feeds many of these question do get asked and hopefully some also get answered.

  5. yes, that helps and I can confirm I have been able to duplicate the error. If you do the same sort request on THIS forum it works as intended, but if you go to the main forum it gives that error. I have checked settings, rebuilt indexes, and completed a database optimisation process without success. I have referred the issue to the software providers as we need some tech support of our own on this one. On this forum (works as intended) On the main forum (doesnt work)
  6. ok. taking a look and cant get it to give me error. are you using the "my activity streams" in the menu above ? or are you doing something else ... can you explain the steps to get the error ?
  7. will take a look. I think this would probably require me to rebuild the search index which is quite easy for me (a few button clicks) but the process is a little time consuming on the site and takes a couple of hours or so to rebuild. Whilst that is happening the view new posts pages will not work properly as they dont have a search index .... but will try to do it when most of you should be sleeping in UK !!!
  8. You can have a debate about stadium ownership but its still not clear how much of the stadium we currently 'own' as confirmation of the deal to bring the stands back to club ownership does not appear to be published anywhere, all articles I have read say its close to a deal, but none say its done and dusted. However, the larger factor is that we own none of the land that the stadium sits on. It is leased from the council on a 99 year lease which has probably about 76 years to run if my math is correct (we moved in in 1996 but i think we signed the lease in 95). If the deal did go through for Tulloch to gift the stands back to ICT, part of that deal was that they retained the 'ownership' of the lease on everything else outside the footprint of the actual stadium buildings (car parks and surrounding area). They agreed to allow the club access to those car parks "for the foreseeable future" whatever that means .... so really we dont have much to offer any potential developer ! certainly not enough to finance a new stadium build. If the deal has not gone through then its a moot point as we would have no ownership or control over any of the land. https://www.ictfc.com/news/club-news/2082-significant-milestone-for-ictfc-as-tulloch-agrees-transfer-of-stadium-lease https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-42412584
  9. not sure. I thibnk it may have something to do with us changing the site to https:// rather than http:// . I have tweaked a couple of things but cant see it working.

  13. has always been this way .... I was on the committee of the Inverness & District Amateur FA for a few years with big George Davidson at the helm and when it came to disciplinary matters we were forced to impose decisions based on guidelines from the Scottish Amateur FA who are ultimately governed by the SFA. We tried to do things on a common sense basis most of the time but I lost count of the number of times where we made a decision, thought it was fair based on circumstances, then sent the findings to the SAFA only for them to reject it and send it back for us to impose harsher penalties. 5 and 10 game bans were common as were season long bans for individuals. Given that teams were amateur the fines were also draconian and caused hardship and in some cases for teams to fold. It was after my time but the IDAFA eventually broke away from the SAFA and this was one of several reasons for it. The only reason I came up with at the time for the behaviour of the SAFA was 'little man syndrome'. These were guys who - like their counterparts in the SFA - just wanted to be in charge and flex their muscles. They could not do it to the big guys, even at amateur level where there are some 'big' teams, so they went after those who had the least opportunity to strike back. Seems like they treat the non-league and semi-professional teams the same way.
  14. I actually agree with this .... As we cannot set it to disallow deletion after a period of time (which would be the best option), what I have done is removed the ability to delete but left the ability to hide in place .. that way, a poster can hide their own topic for whatever reason, and it can be reinstated later if warranted. This is more in line with how the moderators deal with reported topics and content.
  15. Threads can be deleted by the original poster as well as the moderators. Moderators tend to 'hide' rather than delete threads though. In this case (and the same applies for 95% of recently deleted topics) the original poster deleted it so please direct any ire or questions to the poster. In the words of the next ex-president of the USA ... 'it wasn't me' !! We close threads for one of two reasons - it has become abusive or it has gone too far off topic. For my own part I find it strange that moderators or admin are always accused of deleting or closing threads for no good reason or banning people left right and centre. We do not and I have the site logs - which I just looked at - to back me up on that statement. The vast majority of moderation applied in the last 6 months (thats as far back as I could be bothered looking) was in the category of 'self moderation' where OPs or users deleted their own topics or comments within topics. We actually give people way more latitude than we are given credit for and most forums will lock down many of the permissions we leave in place as standard.

  20. for those posting "Longridge" in Gringo's NPL as the first pars scorer .... you may want to go back and edit your post before kick off to make it clear. Dunfermline have two players of that name in their squad - Louis and Jackson and both have scored this season.

  24. there was a glitch on the system earlier than meant I had to do some rebuilding of our database. posting was unavailable for about half an hour. it should be ok now. but the request is valid enough here too so leave it here for now.
  25. 100% agree with the club on this. There can be zero tolerance for the abuse that was aimed at Liam last weekend. No excuses, no mitigating factors and no wiggle room. I would leave the club to determine length of ban but at a minimum it should be end of calendar year if not the end of the season.
