  1. Mr Savage is evidently a wise entrepreneur with a wealth of experience. He will simply have to take a corporate stance on the Pars game. I am usually good at sussing people out so I would be disappointed if he did not proffer an apology for the Pars came and I EXPECT him to openly back the Singing Section proposal but he will point out that it simply is not down to him and ICT. But if he moves it on to another level then that is the only RESULT I am after. And I think it will happen.  :003:

an i think you'll be right too! :004:

  2. indeed thanks IHE.

at present we do not know the outcome of the club's investigations but we are continually reminding them that there are folk who are needing to know the outcome and these people are the ones that were more involved than those of us who were watching from the sidelines.  there will be some things which could be posted on the Trust website at the end of all this but there will be some things that we may not be able to but the people who were affected most will know.

one thing the meeting must NOT do is degenerate in to a slanging match - that benefits no one.  at the end up what we need to do is to move on from this and hold a reasonable discussion about what happened, why, what can be done to prevent it happening again and what we do in the future.

football, and standing and singing at games, is a hugely emotive subject and one thing i would like to see come out of this is for our young (and not so young) supporters being given strategies on how to deal with confrontational situations to help avoid them blowing out of proportion and ending up in ejection.

and flower you know you can question the trust any time...

  3. I have finally got the hang of BEBO but dont have many ict fans as friends, so if anyone has a profile, put it here and let ict fans add you.

    me! :001: :001:

  4. The Supporter's Trust are holding their half yearly meeting in the Caley Club on Thursday night 24 May 2007 at 7.30pm.

As usual we will be having a forum which should be very interesting this year with one of the participants being a member of the SPL's disciplinary board.  The trust board will bring you up to date with what's been happening this year so far and events in the pipeline.

All members welcome and bring a friend.

  5. Just picked new season tickets but no SPL passport for my son , anybody no if the scheme is going to be running for the new season ?

there is a rumour doing the rounds that this may not be in operation next season but i've been in touch with the SPL and am waiting for clarity....

    fingers crossed....

  6. What's happening regarding season tickets and the singing section?

we're not sure yet - hopefully we'll hear back from the club at some point shortly...  keep an eye on the boards for information.  you have a wee bit of time before you need to renew....

  7. Not quite true. Ike Fraser has also made the grade. Others have regular spots, just not with us. I also expect Zander to be more prominent next season. And Vigurs and MacDonald could also be in there.

How many actually come through the OF systems and get regular slots in their first team?

Did Fraser not come from Brora Rangers?

it was ritchie who came from Brora

  8. you were quick home TWS!

Just on a break there  :004:

guess you spotted him while you were working then???? :004: :004:

Yep, nowt like a baseless rumour to get the site traffic up a tad :023:

next rumour thread should be entitled - spotted in tesco....  :001:

  9. Richard Gough was a great player in his time......sh!te coach now though. Alan Hansen...another great player...never made it in the coaching game though.

Being a great player does not always mean your coaching skills are good.

and being an 'ordinary' player doesn't automatically mean you'll be an 'ordinary' coach...

  10. was speaking to the marchers this morning as they wend their weary way down to paisley down the scenic banks of loch lomond and past the tranquillity of the Inversnaid Hotel.

they will be in the Caledonia bar before the game and would love to see as many folk there as can make it

  11. The official line will always have to be that you must sit as the SPL rules say exactly that.

Agree with that Laura but perhaps its time all Trusts got together and lobbied the SPL to have this rule changed. Personally I believe that a dedicated standing/singing area, limited to about 300, at every ground would not present any significant safety/crowd control problems. The SPL made the rules and we've seen that these rules are changeable, i.e reducing ground capacity requirements from 10k to 6k, so lets see them give consideration to the customer and change this one.

Alex can i say that the trust movement took this on board a couple of years ago.  we were asked to look at what were the important issues that fans wanted to look at and if i remember correctly top of the bill was ticketing prices.  at the moment i'm not sure what stage things are with safe standing but i will find out where it sits on the agenda.

one thing's for sure, there is a supporters trust conference at the begining of june which we hope we can attend and it will certainly be brought up there in some shape or form.  prob also chat about policing and stewarding too... :004:
