  1. I predict that it takes 2 posts.

    What are you expecting?

We see enough punts up the park when our lads are playing?

    Is Tommy ok with this?

The admission price is a bit steep?

I might just drag myself along to this - haven't been to a rugby match for years.

Hopefully the Kingsmills Suite will be open to non-members.

    2nd post cd!!

    :023: :P :lol::lol::lol::lol:

  2. Really looking forward to this gig..., I have head one of CTO mods is getting ready to rumble, anyone else going to watch them blow the roof of the ironworks...

    G

i'll be there right enuff!! pm me if you fancy a meet!

had planned to go to metallica uk last weekend but was too not well..

had also planned frightened rabbit and the fabby phantom band but have to babysit instead.

  3. i can't get sky despite living 2 miles from the centre of inverness.

i had sh!tanta but haven't gone for espn - yet

i like the idea of bt vision. my tv has a built in freeview box but having one that will record is good for me who never seems to be in...

my broadband is from utility warehouse. youtube keeps buffering all the time... its slow... think the costs may be similar given i'm about 30 quid for my broadband and free calls...

there may be lots of reasons for the about that i really have no idea about..

so - given that both espn and bt vision have sports... which should i go for?

  4. I'm with T-Mobile.....have been for years, and we have 3 phones on the one account (good bargaining chip when upgrading). We're due for upgrades and they were offering us very little in terms of phone choice as we're on a plan they want to phase out. So....we ended up being offered a wider range of free upgrade and were moved to a plan that will cost us less and give us more!!!

when the 902 came out vodaphone were offering a better deal than o2 so i just told them and they gave me the same deal at less cost and i haven't lost my original deal privilages... :P

  5. Scotty, following our wee conversation could I be as bold as to suggest a possible shake up of your moderating team. I would not like to advocate that any mods are removed but I do think maybe someone on board with a more liberal attitude is taken in, someone who has a fresh attitude to allowing banter to flow. The reason that you guys removed the "official" tag from the website was to allow more freedom in what was posted but in the interest of maintaining strong ties with the club not much leeway has been gained (from what I can see, I know there must be a lot we are not privy to behind the scenes) some posts which I would consider banter are jumped on by mods without much explanation or any visible complaints.

Perhaps implementing a complaints forum such as is used on P&B might let members here know why people are offended at certain posts and would further let the rest of us know where the boundaries are. It may also allow the mods the chance to distance themselves a little from their duties and let their posts be seen as banter again instead of rubbing people up when there is no intention to do so.

i'm not very good at the techie stuff as most of you know but the bit i've highlighted first...

how do you know that there are not mods who have a 'more liberal attitude'? the mods at present have a wide variety of views and we, the mods, know that from having to debate every contencious post that some posters make - so painful and time consuming...

the second bit... the folk that overstep the mark are well aware of where the boundaries are. if they continue, like wee children to push them, the warning system at present and pms leave them in no doubt - if they continue to cross them then h*ll mend them. the problem is that most wee children like boudaries, feel comfortable with them...

it' possible that a complaints forum like p&b is a possibility and it would be interesting to see the views of the posters on here about that.

i for one get a bit fed up with the inane sh!te that's posted on here a lot of the time. i know there are folk who don't post any more because of it. that and the personal abuse which imvho is starting to overstep the mark...

edited to add... oh by the way - there is nothing wrong with a poster having to earn their rights - then they can banter all they want

  6. I have the same phone as you then! I do like it a lot but a couple of things I don't like are:

Headphone adapter - For goodness sake SE put a 3.5mm jack in there!

Battery life - abysmal. I get 1 -2 days out of it normally.

Internet - nice enough but can be fiddly. After using an iPhone to surf the web I think SE have a lot of catching up to do is this aspect.

I quite like the Symbian interface. Find it easy to use and there are a number of nice wee features on this phone - the GPS chip is fantasitc and sound quality for music and videos good as well. Syncing your email is easy and obviously the camera gives good results too.

A good phone but not a great phone but it does what I need it to do but my main gripe is the poorbattery life.

    started off well but.....

RiG - you're doing it again!!! :argue:

  7. well - must be nearly 18 months since i posted one of these and guess what??

my moby's due for an upgrade in december!!!

as some of you may remember, i really liked my Sony w610i. had a C902 (i think) for the last wee while.

really like th sony phone and candybar style (how can you txt without looking otherwise...) but wondering what i should go for this time. wondered about touchscreen ones but not sure about the qwerty keyboard on others.

quite liked samsungs before but not fond of nokias.

need something simple - just like me! not too worried about photos or the like but music would be good.

and as those that have been round a bit will tell you - it has to feel good in my hand!!
