  1. You are spot on with fans picking on certain players. When Billy McKay was with us he could have 4 or 5 terrible games but nobody would boo him and shout get him off.  On the other hand if Polly or Vigurs make a couple of bad passes they get dogs abuse . We don’t have a Messi  or Bale to take there place so give them a brake.

Contrary to the myth, Caledonian Stadium is not built on a rubbish tip....in fact, the vast majority isn't even built on reclaimed land.

    I never knew that!

"Hills of dung are hardly unknown in football, at least in the metaphorical sense, but Aberdeen fans have a powerful affection for theirs. The name of the club's home at Pittodrie derives, evidently, from a Gaelic term for 'a place of manure'.

When the newly established club took possession of the site in 1891, they found exactly that; it had been used to stable police horses. There was also a rubbish dump while the wider area was known as Gallows Marsh."

And I've just discovered that "Ibrox" means "badgers' den"...

Built a stadium on a rubbish dump. Which club nowadays would be stupid enough to do that.?

You might be thinking of Ali Dia who Souness signed at Southampton because Dia told him he was the cousin of George Weah

I think Celtic did the same with signing Rafael Sheidt who turned out to be just the same as his surnname

I appreciate that the intention may be to offload both OFW and David Raven but the fact is they are here and we are paying their salaries for now

OFW looks a great deal safer and more reliable than Ridgers and Raven is better than any other defender currently at the club. Given how we are leaking goals, why are we not utilising them ?

OFW cost us too many points last season and conributed to the position we are in now. If the opposing team got a free kick anywhere near our goal I shut my eyes. Some of the goals he conceded could appear on bloopers of the season. Ridgers can not be any worse than OFW I hope.

  6. Hopefully Charlie Trafford will make a difference to the midfield when he arrives this week. At 6ft 3" he should win his share of high balls. Think he has to play for his current team RoVaniememen Finland tonight before heading to Sneck.

  7. Players from the development squad sold them in the past outside . As we are without a team this season probably means no one to sell tickets. I reckon the few players we do have are out on loan to Highland League teams

This is pie in the sky stuff. The Highland League are never going to allow a Caley Thistle Colts team in.  It's a complete non-starter.

Speaking to a friend at Nairn and they told me that ICT and RC had been invited to consider a colts team in the Highland League. So it seems that they do want it.

    I love this site. ?

  9. I agree with the club here a lot of young kids check out our site and if your 10 year old son or daughter is met with links to sites like porn hub or the like can you blame them for getting piszed of. We are a football site so let's keep it that way.

  10. After the game with Elgin I was a bit worried how it would turn out v Brechin. It was like night and day the performance . Brechin were poor so let's not get too carried away yet but it's nice to see three goals and a clean sheet after last seasons rubbish. As most posters pointed out Seedorf looks exciting to watch and the rest of the team looked good. I can't see why some fans keep slagging of Polworth and Vigurs I thought they both had decent games. Polworth did fade in the latter part of the game but still has a lot to offer the team. It looked like a training excercise at times today but I am now looking forward to the  Falkirk game next week with a bit more confidence.

Falkirk fans on P&B saying that we've signed John Baird.

Ultra-experienced First Division striker.  Good recent record.  Solid signing I'd say.

Baird, maybe?  But why have Falkirk let them go?  They will be one of our main adversaries in the Championship, so if they are not good enough for them, why should they be good enough for us?

Peter Houston on of the ball today was asked which players he was losing. One was  John Baird as he was off to Inverness. It saves the club having a press release when you can hear it second hand from Tam Cowan.:amazed:
