  1. I just saw (1730) Russell Duncan in Tesco, Inverness which surprised me a little bit because I would have thought with arguably the biggest game of the season tomorrow the team would have travelled down to Hamilton today so they wouldnt be sitting on the bus early tomorrow morning for 3 or 4 hours before playing!!

What is the clubs travel stance?? i.e. do they always travel on day of game...

  2. I'd prefer an experienced manager but an unproven manager would be preferable to one who has proven himself to be wholly incompetent.

There's no doubt, whether or not he came as manager, he could do a job in defence at least for the remainder of this season.

Doe the story appearing in the Telegraph give it a bit more substance??

  3. It may be me being daft, but it aint January yet! is this more spin than fact? can these things be announced/agreed upon before the window opens?

My guess would be that his contract is up on 28 June... so he is free to sign a pre contract on 28 December when his old contract will have 6 months left to run, irrespective of it being in a transfer window or not...

  4. For what its worth... i cerrtainly thought there was a lot of huff anf puff... but no end product... same second half against Falkirk when the keeper was obviously rubbish... but we didnt have a shot on target, apart from the goal!! Same yesterday... 1 shot on target whole game... and that was a weak effort... that has been a trademark of Brewsters teams... pass it instead of shoot... if that had been other teams, the goal would have been peppered both on Wed night and yesterday...

I dont know how Tokely gets nominations for MOM... i think that everyone seems to only notice his foraging runs (when he never ever ever ever ever ever delivers) and forget that he is 1st and foremost a defender... and he is ALWAYS out of position... seriously... watch him... ALWAYS caught out and teams are playing on that now... with the rationale that some on this forum use about attacking defenders, then surely Lionel deserves his chance then!!!

Did anyone else notice Imrie falling over several times on Wed night and again yesterday... is he wearing plimsoles??

  5. ---------------------------Esson----------------------------

    ---------Proctor------------Duff------------Munro-----------

    -Wilson----------Tokely----Cowie----Black----------Imrie----

    ---------------Barrowman-----------Rooney----------------

Subs: Fraser, Djebi-Zadi, McBain, Wood, Hastings, Duncan, Vigurs

Tokely was a liability again last night... GET HIM OUT!!!!!!

  6. I personally thought the youngsters were okay... i have been calling out for a couple of years for ICT to give youth a chance...

Is there a decent youth right back???

Tokely was a liability again... he has been absolutely shocking in 3 of the 4 games I have seen this season...

  7. I got interviewed for it on Thursday...but i never heard it. Anyone hear it?

Charles - are Radio Scotland doing a through the window feature tomorrow evening??

    Yes... 10:30 to 00:30. 810 medium wave.

    Superb, thanks!

  8. Anyway... the most entertaining thing that happened at the Hibs game was after the football... some old guy shifted his car and ran into some guys, one of whom hurt his leg... the guy went beserk and started kicking the car and was screeming in total agony... he was that sore he sprinted after the car shouting abuse at him and even opened the drivers door to shout further abuse... one of his mates shouted "rip his wing mirror off"!!! You couldnt make this stuff up... did anyone else witness this Laurel and Hardyesq performance??

Anyway apart from that, the worrying thing is... and from a health and safety point of view would be totally slated... it oculd have been a small kid that this car hit... and it could have done some serious damage... surely the fans should NOT be allowed through the clubs car park after the game... accident waiting to happen if you ask me!!

  9. Tokely wasn't that bad at all. His final ball in was poor but defensively I thought he was solid enough. I thought O'Brien was going to ravage him throughout the 90 but he was so effectively cancelled out that he was replaced by a skunk.

Defensively he was far from solid!!!

Well I'm convinced now! Where was he particularly lacking in defence today?

For starters, everything Hibs did today was pretty much down their left side... and every single time they attacked Ross was out of position... i thought he was absolutely shocking today...

  10. I thought he was superb against Aberdeen... and as for yesterday... not one of the ICT team would get pass marks... they all looked lazy and not up for it...

Lets reserve judgement until a few more games are under our belts... if we are basing it on yesterdays performance we would be looking for 11 new players!!

  11. They are trying to negotiate a six month loan fer Rooney and then an option to buy or release.

    Herald Story

Inverness Caledonian Thistle were last night close to finally securing Adam Rooney, the Stoke City striker, on a one-year loan.

Negotiations have been ongoing for two weeks but a deal could be done today. "Stoke are asking for a few bob and we have told them what we can afford," said manager Craig Brewster.

Rooney could be joined by two others, with Kiran Bechan, a Dutch midfielder currently with Spanish side Hercules CF on trial and Brewster attempting to bring in Dan Wagaluka, a Ugandan midfielder.

  12. Actual team for the game from Burnley website report.

Inverness CT: Fraser, Tokely, Hastings, McGuire (Duff 64), Munro, Duncan, Cowie, Black, Rooney (McAllister 79), Barrowman, McBain (Imrie 64).

Subs: Proctor, Djebi-Zadi, Wilson, Vigurs, Wood, Esson.

No coincidence we started playing better when Mcbain and McGuire went off for Imrie and Duff. Hope to see the team that finsihed start next week.

Does that mean we have definitely signed Rooney on loan then????
