  1. I agree totally, but I have felt that this has been the case for years - long before the Butcher / Malpas era. Are there less ball boys now than in the past? The time it takes to get the ball to the player taking the throw doesn't help either. At one point today Ryan Esson ran all the way to the corner flag to pick up the ball for a goal kick. That's crazy. I don't see why every ball boy doesn't have a ball to keep things flowing.

  2. I well remember Daisy's debut at Grant Street when he ran rings around the County defence. Did Mike Teasdale not make his debut in that game too?

Sad to report that in recent years, Daisy's mental health has suffered to the extent that I saw him at the Scottish Cup Final this year wearing a County shirt. Old age doesn't come by itself and all that.

  3. I think Terry Butcher has been given the best headache a manager can have. The cloud of injuries has produced a silver lining as we have seen what some of our young lads can do. Nick Ross has been very good so far this season and I don't think Butcher will be in any hurry to drop him, particularly as the team has won two in a row.

The big questions for me are at full back and in the hole in front of defence. I think Gillet will return when ready (but a big thumbs up to Shinnie who has let nobody down in recent weeks. I have liked Duff at right back but McCann is good too. Quite like the idea of Foran going through the middle.

Duncan, Cox and Duff could all play in the hole but they can't all be there. I am going to plump for

    Esson

    Duff Tokely Munro Gillet

    Duncan

    Hayes Foran Ross

    Odhiambo

    Rooney

Subs: Tuffy, McCann, Proctor, Shinnie, Blumenshtein, Cox, Sutherland

  4. Having watched it on Alba, I think the red card was harsh - certainly looks more like a tangle of legs than a stamp. Not that I'm complaining.

Yeh, I'm inclined to agree with that. Looks dreadful from one angle and not so bad from the other. Rosscoe was lucky to stay on, though.

M4TJ thinks he saw Ifil in some 70's porn film, or was he the sixth member of the Jackson 5?

  5. I was really sorry to hear about this. Ally was not the sort to shake your hand - she preferred the big bear-hug approach and will be missed. The Coias in my book were some of the most enthusiastic and memorable ICT fans you could ever meet

My condolences to Iain and the family at this really difficult time.

  6. I rather think that Ike paniced back in Jan 2009 when ICT were in freefall and Brewster was on his last legs. A matter of days after he agreed to go to Motherwell, Brew was out the door and Butcher was in.

If Brew had got the heave-ho a week earlier things might have been different.

Having said that I think ICT have now got two excellent keepers.

  7. Everyone who has actually met Imrie face to face has nothing but good things to say.

These fans who were singing about Imrie being a paedophile should wander off and support the old firm. As arrogant as the man is on the pitch, I would still like to have him back in the team.

Not sure I would want him back but the whole paedo chanting business was disgraceful. I fear we may not have heard the last of this matter.

  8. Am a little concerned that Mrs Duck is going to spend the whole winter telling every mallard in the Beauly Firth that there is this place over by North Kessock where ducks get free board and lodging plus protection from every known duck predator. I suspect that next spring it will be like a Hitchcock film outside Manny Towers.

  9. I was wondering why many Celtic fans were wearing purple and yellow scarves yesterday. After the game I found out when I passed some of them in town. They were Papal Visit scarves!!

Also has anyone ever seen James Forrest and the Hunchback of Notre Dame in the same room?

  10. It will be interesting to see how this develops.

I would have thought that MFR get quite a lot of listeners on a Saturday trying to get away from football. They may piss off quite a number of their existing listeners. I suspect most people will stick with the Beeb unless MFR can pull out something really special - which would surprise me.

  11. It was gloomy down there. Clearly not enough spare shillings at Grant Street to put in the meter.

Just so good to see Hayes out playing again. He did well but it will take him time to get back to 100%. Still Sellic won't know too much about him.

  12. In what strikes me as the highly unlikely chances that this should happen, ground sharing would not be an option. It was ok when we did it at Pittodrie but after the Motherwell/Gretna fiasco the SPL said never again.
