  1. I'm definately not wanting to take anything away from Hamilton, they played well against a very lackluster Utd side and took their chances to bury them.

Like clacher_holiday2 said, Utd's midfield were hopeless and lost a lot of possession then duely punished for it. So I think fielding our strongest midfield should dry up a lot of the Hamilton style attacking before it becomes a threat and use the counter attack style that worked amazingly well against Aberdire!

Should be a decent game because both teams have been 'tipped for the drop' :rotflmao: and now its a top 2 game! Better than an Old Firm I say :thumb04:

  2. With Wagaluka being a winger and Bechan also having played in that position, should we conclude that Zander Sutherland is not considered ready to step up to the 1st team?

Bechan will probably be used as a striker more than anything, and as for Wagaluka, I think Brewster might be trying comparison to see if we already have a winger good enough in the shape of Sutherland. Remember that Wilson usually doesn't last an entire game so it would be good to have maybe two back ups.

And Jamie Duff has probably done enough in Brewsters eyes to warrant him being in the 1st team so defense isn't all to bad.

  3. What a goal... could do with seeing some of them at the TCS over the season! At 25 he'd be the most experienced striker.

Kerr to Elgin City on loan to, thought he'd be really good backup for the defense this year but we still have Duff so fair enough, hopefully he cuts his teeth as well as Sutherland did there.

  4. ---------------Fraser---------------

    Tokely ------ Munro ------ Djebi-Zadi

    --------- Proctor --- Black ---------

    Wilson ----------------------- McBain

    ------- Cowie --------Imrie --------

    -------------Barrowman-------------

This is my choice. I think CaleyD has it spot on. 4-4-2 is NOT the line-up to go for with the players we have! This gives us a chance to switch play and roles during the game without making substitutions needlesly. And in turn when we DO use a substitute, it could benefit a lot more than someone just getting a run on the park.

I would a bit more explanation to this but i gota run!

  5. hopefully munro will do better this year as captain but maybe macguire would have been a good choice as he tries to organise the defence when we saw them in the friendlies.

I don't think Macguire even knows he's in defence sometimes, let lone organising it! Munro is essentially our only player who is 'Captain' material which IMO is pretty worrying. He doesn't exactly let himself be known during a game and a captain who's single passing skill is to boot it up the park is not exactly inspiring!

But like I said, not much better out there to take up the role :rotflmao:

  6. Does that mean we have definitely signed Rooney on loan then????

Looks like it! Good signing I'd say, even though I haven't personally seen him play, the reports have been good!

Bit worrying that Brewster continues to play McGuire and that we leak goals! Then as soon as Imrie and Duff come on the game turns around. Right now for us not at the game, we know what needs to be done... Brewsters there so get a clue Brew!!

  7. There's been a few things that have been a bit discouraging since the end of last season but one of the most up lifting things that I've seen since then is the obvious hunger of the 'younger' players (their all pretty much my age  :017:)! Pre-season or not, each and everyone of them have said that 1st team football at ICT is where they belong, and have tried amazingly hard to prove their worth. The likes of Sutherland, Vigurs, Wood, Duff, Kerr, Mcallister, and at under 19 there's a lot of buzz around about Shane Sutherland, have IMO given hope for the future and that this season regardless of how things are of the pitch, could be defining! They deserve their chances! We the fans deserve that hunger from the team!

    Mon the ICT!!!

  8. why not wait until this is resolved and we know exactly what's happened before starting a witch hunt.  Every post so far has been based on speculation from the media, who are always likely to put a spin on the situation

... but it doesn't look good as far as the club are concerned

I completely agree with Harry, between everyone on this board, no-one TRUELY knows what's going on! I said before on this thread that the whole Niculae thing is getting beyond a joke, but this thread is now!  :017: Ok Niculae IS GOING and yes the club look bad because of the way things are being handled and going right now anyway, but wait till the dust settles to point fingers! Wait till we know (if we do find out) what the club received and THEN talk about what we could do with that money if its released to Brewster instead of this situation which we can then leave in the past.

  9. This has gone beyond a joke, and I was going to put that quote above in my comment but did it wrong  :rolleyes02:

Whatever happens Niculae is going and for all the trouble he's been worth I think it's a good thing. Don't get me wrong, I do like him, I think he was a good player while at ICT and I go against what some people say about him... but it's lost all interest now!

I'm not going to b**ch and moan about the way the club has been going just now, but this all seems to be the way things are going to be handled right now unfortuantely.

  10. 4-2 is a flattering score line today I think. We took the goals well but everything else was pretty poor.

McGuire was as poor as ever, looked of the pace the entire game and was at fault for both their goals. Munro REALLY needs another Dodds type player because he seems to be lost. He played well but he isn't the Munro we knew when it was him and Dodds. Barrowman was again not very good. He works a lot but doesn't seem to read what's going on around him to well. A complete box player. Needs someone to support him. I disagree with the post that said Wilson looked of within two minutes! Did you not see the third goal? All Wilson's work. It's worrying though people, because the football is not good, and St Johnstone had chances which any one of the current strikers in the SPL could easily bury.

  11. Have to say that I'm pretty disappointed that he isn't going to be an ICT player. Real hunger shown by him and what did people on this board expect him to do? Outplay everyone he came up against just because he was at Man.u? Rankin didn't exactly 'set the heather on fire' either when he arrived at first. Took him a while to get into things. Evans had two games in which to prove himself in an entirely new squad, that were getting changed about during the games and changing formations and in both games I thought he did pretty well in the circumstances considered. Think its funny that we have signed Lionel who by what I've seen and heard is a HUGE liability, and we get rid of a player who has the potential to be a great player for us.

  12. I have to agree with davieB... Evans was set out to impress tonight, and everyone's been in a position where you try really hard and things just go wrong. He wasn't the only one on the pitch messing up in a Caley shirt, so I think he still will be a worthwhile signing and giving him the chance to settle.

Its the back line that worry me. Saw it to many times tonight where there was ACRES of space for C****y players to get a chance of goal in, then they shot wide, the defenders all blamed each other. Hope its sorted out before we're done for!
