  1. I've just emailed the SPFL (aka. the incompetant brigade) to register my disgust with the choice of venue, which is also the location for the Ramsdens Cup Final and I don't see Rangers leaving many fans at home for that! There is obviously money changing hands here for some reason or another (surprise surprise!) and though it may not do much in the grand scheme, I think if more people got in contact directly then it will show how ridiculous this descision is. I say this and I live in Edinburgh! But my convinience is not as important as fairness for my fellow supporters.
  2. Superb effort from Caley today! Not saying that Dundee should be pushovers, but looking at how County are going you would think that a little more passion and eye for goal would be in the team! So now we've got County at home ABOVE US? Ridiculous considering how well we were going before!
  3. Sounds like a terrible game on a cold Wednesday night! Aw well still a point above c**nty, just got a hopefully beat them on Saturday!
  4. Has anything actually happened in our game!? BBC haven't even mentioned the game at all, not once except from that it had kicked off!
  5. Caley100 I also think this, as much as I like Esson it is 5 games played, 4 games lost. Bad statistics!
  6. "There are 3,680 spectators watching Ross County lead St Johnstone 1-0." Taken from the BBC site. Wonder how many are watching the dross we're serving up?? Stop whinging Butcher and give people something decent, this is so unbeliveably poor it's a joke!
  7. The worst thing about this is, after all the talk of wanting to finish seccond and challenge for Europe blah blah blah etc. etc. etc. C**nty are only 3 points behind us. So if we don't start winning soon second could trun to eight before we know it.
  8. Useless, Motherwell must love playing against because they seem to score at will! This is ridiculous, absoutely unacceptable!
  9. I clearly missed that! Thanks CaleyD, but yes, not sure why in the rumours
  10. Not too sure if this is a Rumour Mill topic but this guy has been on trial with us so not so much a rumour... http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kent_messenger/sport/2013/february/1/ben_greenhalgh.aspx Ben Greenhalgh of said topic name fame, is on trial with us just now. I remember watching this show for a wee bit and the winner went of to Inter Milan. He didn't stay there for too long but he is highly rated still. Would be good to have a quick, tricky winger as back up right now especially this time of the season and potential injuries. Thoughts?
  11. Knew this would happen, heads down from Saturday, St.Mirrens up from Sunday. Poor show again from what was said on the radio, not turning possesion into goals which we have done this season but not the last two games. Dispaointed with these two performances!
  12. 2 days away from the '7 signings in place for the 29th', any hints/rumours/concrete evidence of anyone at all apart from Jones?
  13. I am, like loads of others on here, absolutely gutted that Tokely is gone! Yes legends come and go but this legend I feel still had another season or two in him and more importantly NEEDED A TRUE ICT LEGEND SEND OFF! Not some pre season game. But hey, under the Butcher era, you don't get these kind of things. No-one on here knows exactly the financial status of the club but we can all pretty much say it is poor. But why when Foran gets improved contracts, Hogg gets a new contract despite playing with injury and who says that injury might stay away? Does a legend have to be thrown aside again? Who knows what he was offered but can you at least not agree that FOR ONE MORE YEAR there might have been enough in the budget to give him a wee bit more? For all the loanees that never played but were paid, where has that money gone, or is that what some of the budgets there for. "OK Butcher this year we have set aside another £********* for bringing in p*ss poor loanees". Also what has happened to the 31st of May rallying call? From what I can see only McKay has signed? A strong stand, or a come and get my out of contract players asap call? Absolutely gutted by the loss of Tokely and I once again, blame Butcher squarely for this.
  14. because unlike barrowman mckay puts in a shift week in week out, he doesnt have players around him offering good service like barrowman had. and hes probably better in the air than barrowman despite his 5'9'' frame. give him service and he will provide the goals imo. hes been asked to much of having to chase the terrible service from the back. id give him another season to prove his worth. gillet on his day is one of our best defrenders. since maybe february hes not been as good but id say is worth another season. we cant realy afford to offload defenders in his mould imo he was solid at centre back for the best part of 2 months when we needed him most and for me thats good enough. I agree another season I would keep McKay on for only the basis that there will be a competant striker up there with him, but as for his finishing, yes he might have had poor service but what he has done with the better service has been often disbelieving. Those to keep - Esson, Tokely, Gillet (if someone kicks his a*se and stops his panic attacks) Tade, Hayes, McKay (see above), Hogg and Golobart. Maybe - Tuffey (an expense for a couple games of unsteadiness but that might be lack of match time) Williams (I haven't seen much of him) Let go - Tansey (sorry but not good enough) Proctor (liability)
  15. A big relief tonight!!!! No changes in the performance it seems and a goaless draw with Dunfermline at home (albeit they're fighting for their survival) is poor at best, but hopefully we can change it in the summer and approach the SPL!!! with a bit of realistic optimism and none of this 'top six' rubbish! :bouncyblue: :bouncyblue:
  16. Yawwwn Let's be honest here and this is not exclusively your problem you and the rest of the happy clappers are fantasists not realists like myself I've been called a County fan, an Orc fan etc etc on numerous occasions but it's like water of a ducks back I am ICT although seriously disgruntled and I like many others will be limiting my games next season as the football served up is Pish ICT are presently not going in the right direction only a bampot would argue otherwise Dougal Dougal, you make some valid points but then you spoil them. The fantasist thinks ICT have a god given right to be in the top half of the league with a team of stars. The realist thinks we are doing very well, with our financial handicap, to still be in the league. ICT, like St Mirren, Aberdeen, Killie, Hibs, St Johnstone etc will always be fighting to stay up first and foremost. The rest will be a bonus. Thats the view of a realist. Agreed, I just don't think we are fighting this season and we're just lucky there's worse than us, that's the sad thing
  17. Shame to hear about the collapse at the game today, best wishes and thoughts to those involved. Regarding the game, is anyone surprised with todays result? Is anyone surprised with the strange tactics? Does anyone now see that Butcher is useless?
  18. Hark, do I hear the 'we played well excuse'?
  19. A bit of wood A bit of wood - A bit of wood - A bit of wood - A bit of wood 2 x bits of wood A bit of wood A bit of wood A bit of wood A barn door to at least aim at Sorry I'll be serious now! Tuffey Meekings - Tokely - Williams - Shinnie Hayes Jones Ross Doran Sutherland Winnall At least there's some attacking intention somewhere in there! May not be the heavy crew but at least some skill. Go for broke! It's not like we have to play to save ourselves
  20. Is it not ok to be upset with the current squad? People who are very upset have the right to say so, people who are upset but see the positives are also right to say so. But the linking factor is this, people are upset with what is happening at ICT! Is it right to criticise individual players? Perhaps not, you could argue from when the sun goes down until it comes up again the negatives and positives of most of the squad individually but the main thing it comes down to is the performances from every single player, some performances from individuals have been unforgivable, AND AS A TEAM have been woeful for the majority of the season and people are not happy with paying good money to see this! I've been to 8 games this year, it costs me a lot to get back to Inverness and see a game, and I have never left the ground this season thinking it was worth it. And I am definitely not the only one. IF we stay up (all optimism lost recently) then lets look to the positives as 'TerryMo' started this thread to do. The derby!!! God knows if C*nty will drub us every time we play but do you not think it'll be good to have a certain thing Tulloch has been lacking for a long time, atmosphere I think it's called?! The POSSIBILITY of wise investment from the recent goings on with 'The Exiles'! Will it not be interesting to see how that pans out? We can all bitch and moan when the day comes where we ask where the money has gone, but surely it's worth some optimism? And well that's about it.... TBH I can't think of many more as I'm finding it hard to be positive anything ICT wise after this dismal season, but it's worth a punt at somethings that could happen!
  21. Played in the rigth position with an actual strike partner, McKay is still one of the worst to EVER grace a ICT shirt, then he may benefit and become better. Sign a couple more stikers though (no suggestions as of yet) to get him thinking and stop being so frustrating that you want to go on the pitch and shake him!
  22. I'm often worried about some peoples sanity on here. What we have seen over the past season is worse than woeful, yet some always try and use tired excuses ie. injuries, team gelling in time etc. etc. There is no excuse for it at all and it is down to Butcher. Why support him? Is it because he is charismatic? Even if he is that doesn't transfer onto the pitch and time after time after time we all come on here and say how bad it is, yet still try and justify things! What will another season do? The players HE has brought in have been awful at the best of times (with a few exceptions but any manager can uncover a diamond from time to time) and another summer and season will just prove he has had more time to screw up the ethos of the team. I hate seeing my team lose week in week out without any whimper of a fight and obviously everyone else does as well. Why always say 'we're a small team'? There's smaller teams out there proving the tag wrong and punching above their weight...and we were once one of them! Butcher should not be given more time, he has had enough and proved that all he has is a good quip or two. His excuses today were poor to say the least about the performance and said that the crowd were right to boo at the end. Glad to know he pays attention to not just himself.
  23. http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/inverness/304111-terry-butcher-wants-inverness-to-finish-season-with-a-home-run/ I don't want to go on a rant but just reading this interview from a couple days ago, and then turning out a performance like today, it just baffles me what is going on. My old man said it was an embarrasment today which it was nothing short of. Butcher is always all talk but never delivers and after today I cannot see what he has as a plan b. Another 'funny' interview? Another 'we want the next game to be tomorrow as we're ready for it now' comment? Another 'finish as high as possible' day dream? Cynical? Yes, but also realist.
