  1. i have loads of mates who support Rangers and never once have i heard any of them sing or even mention anything about Tommy Burns since his death if you have please let us know.

you also mentioned "ha ha 66" i'm assuming this is in refernce to the Ibrox disater i may be wrong though but,

I also have a lot of mates who support Celtic and never once have i heard them sing ha ha 66 or saw them wear anything with it written on it again if you have evidence to prove your point please let us know.

  2. some of what you are saying makes sense but some of it is just rubbish, it's easy to just spout rubbish but you need to back it up with evidence, so Rangers fans were singing about a famine that claimed over a million lives and that is just not on, by the way they play the band aid song at Christmas that's how stupid they are, and then sing songs mocking people starving, men and womer, young and old alike.

Celtic fans sing songs which other people dont like, they sing political songs about Ireland, do you think they should be docked points for it?

the songs are no different to some songs you get played at a Scotland international match at hampden park, only it's Scottish political songs instead of the Irish version.

the flower of Scotland is political and indeed a war song

loch lomond (take the high road) is political

i sing scottish battle songs all the time does that make me a bigot or something

if i belt out "wha wadna fecht for charlie" at the rangers caley game when the rangers fans sing rule britania do you think we should be docked points or thrown out of the Scottish cup?

It wouldn't bother me if it was Celtic,Rangers, hibs, hearts Dundee Utd. Any fans who use the songs that have been described as sectarian or racist should render the club liable for punishment.

The songs that are causing concern are diffrent to the folk songs you mention. The songs causing concern have been deliberatley written to abuse people from southern Ireland(are those from the north allowed to stay?), Jock Stein's Family and catholics in general. There was also the song that they sang when Tommy Burns died. Celtic are just as bad, The fans wearing "ha ha 66" for example.

Singing Rule Britannia and replying with "wha widnae fecht fur Charlie" I see as good old fashion banter. Famine song and ha ha 66 is just downright sick and has no place in society never mind a football ground

  3. While I agree with your sentiments and I would love to see both of the old scum fined, banned, loose points etc, as they are by far the worse clubs when it comes to racist and sectarian abuse. But it is not only them that are guilty of this. There are more of these fans and they are on TV every week so they are heard worldwide every week. But amost every club in the SPL (including ICT) and some in SFL have their own low life scum that sing/chant/post on forums/show banners of abuse. The same that you hear coming from the old scum.

The SFA,SPL and SFL know it goes on. The Clubs, fans, stewards and Police know it goes on. And dispite thousands of people every week singing, shouting, posting the racist/sectarian abuse to each other, it is so rare that anyone gets arrested, its in the news.

Nothing will be done about the latest nonsense. Just like nothing has been done about any other club doing it in the past. If the authorities won't punish any of the small clubs who's fans are guilty of the abuse. There is no way on earth that the old scum will ever receive any meaningful punishment.

  4. Now, I don't want to appear thick or anything, but, Why do we need a "headhunter" on the board? Who's head are we hunting? Who's, if any, heads are going to roll? Are the board bringing someone in to look at replacements for themselves?

If they just wanted a season ticket holding fan who goes to away games, to help them make a few decisions, I'm sure the current board shouldn't have to look further than some esteemed contributers to this forum.

  5. In all honesty would you buy home produced moonshine when you had no idea what impurities were in it? It is the same principle, if a drug user had access to high quality substances which were guaranteed to be of a safe standard checked by official controls then I very much doubt there would be a black market and if there was then anyone using it would be extremely foolish.

If you were sober and drug free you would most likely not purchase any dodgy gear. But, if you look at cigarettes for example. They would come under your criteria for " high quality substances which were guaranteed to be of a safe standard checked by official controls" They can be bought on black market at many pubs, markets, streets, work place etc, and they can contain any carp, at very much reduced price compared to the shops.

The same would happen with ecstacy. People looking for or being offered some ecstacy in pubs and nightclubs would almost certainly not look for the quality control sticker when offered a "bargain" that could have anything in it. Or indeed not have anything in it.

  6. To put another twist on it , would it be racist if he said " a one eyed pakistani idiot " ?

I was recently in a Pakistani run curry house in Batley. To cut a long story short I ended up being called a " fu****g Scottish ars***le ,a Scottish ba****d" by a fellow customer who took offence to me complaining about hair in my meal :rotflmao: . The pakistani staff didn't feel that I had been racially abused when I asked for the guy to be removed.

So in answer to you question NO

  7. The fact he is Scottish is neither here nor there . In the context used it implies all Scots are idiots , so it is racist IMHO .

I dont believe that the context makes it racist. He is only stating to Australian press that england is being run by a Scotsman, and as an englishman he, and many like him , are peed off about this. Just as some Scots would be if an englishman was First Minister. He is trying to show the Australians how rediculous our political set up is in the UK

Maybe the fact some Scots find whats been said offensive and racist, maybe he may have a point in some cases..

  8. Whats the problem with what he said?

Gordon Brown has one eye, True

    Gordon Brown is Scottish, True

Gordon Brown is an idiot, True (in my opinion)

As I have often been called an idiot :rotflmao: , I am offend to be associated with Gordon Brown. Who do I complain to?

  9. I am another not sure. Its hard to say if its the right decision without seeing his team play. With the fans getting behind him at the start, it will give him a good chance of saving us from relegation.

He has a great chance of being a local hero and all he has to do is move one place up the league to succeed. Only then the board will then be judged as making "the right decision" on who the manager is and wether they left it too late in bringing somone new in.

    Good luck to Butcher

  10. What a joke this board is making out ICT. Just when the club are in the worst position in our league history,( facing relegation for first time in case they hadn,t noticed), they are trying to appoint someone with 2 other jobs!!!!!!! Since when has the ICT managers job been part-time?

How the hell can he possibly give 100%. As well as his managerial record being average at best, Its just a mad appointment. :rotflmao: :thumb04:

Having said that I will still be backing the team and hope to be proved wrong!!!!

  11. Butchers managers record is at best mediocre

    games won lost drawn

    Brentford 23 5 13 5

    Motherwell 175 60 78 37

    Sunderland 43 13 22 8

    Coventry 60 20 26 14

I feel that we should bring in someone like Robertson until the summer, and once we know what division we will be playing in, Then decide on the permenant replacement.

  12. I wasn't at the game yesterday, but the "ladies" are probably the ones I encountered at the Fir Park, and at Falkirk They did nothing but moan, tut and tell everyone to shut up anytime anyone dared to question their hero Brewster.

I think they must be watching the game through the blankets they always seem to have!!

I don't understand their argument that if you want to moan and complain you must have a season ticket :thumb04: Football snobs,?

So ladies if you read this :rotflmao: :018:

  13. Would Love to go to see my team. unfortunately they disapeared when CB arrived at the club!

Maybe I should put up missing posters in Edinburgh before the game?

Out of interest, can anyone tell me what the record is for consecutive league defeats by ICT? we cant be far off it with our current tally of 7.... 8 after next saturday!

Season 2007/08 and guess who manager was?

    20/02/2008 -Motherwell Inverness CT 3 - 1

    23/02/2008 -Hibernian Inverness CT 2 - 0

    27/02/2008 -Celtic Inverness CT 2 - 1

    01/03/2008 -Inverness CT Hearts 0 - 3

    15/03/2008 -Inverness CT Falkirk 0 - 1

    22/03/2008 -Kilmarnock Inverness CT 4 - 1

    29/03/2008 - Inverness CT Aberdeen 3 - 4

He is going for a new ICT premier league record next week.
