  1. The fact that it will only hold 200-300 people will mean it is going to be 1) limited to season ticket holders 2) be limited to the first/fastest 200 and 3) be priced so as to only appeal to a small percentage of season ticket holders. I think that through these ways, demand will be reduced enough to fit the size, and keep it profitable.

It is a great resource, as said before.

  2. As i understand it .... the bar would be designed to hold 200 - 300 and on matchdays would be open to season ticket holders only

Discrimination surely..... towards those of us who cant rustle up the price of a season ticket?

Probably because 1) its an incentive to get more people to buy a season ticket which is better for the club, and 2) it keeps the bar free from flotsam and jetsam riff-raff. Can see why it is like it is.

  3. If the club don't run the catering, then doubt they'd run a pub. Probably outsourced again. prices would be quite high i reckon, as there's no way the pub could serve/house hundreds in a short time. I'd imagine it will be an option forpeople with large wallets and big thirsts! Anyway, its a great resource, but i still think other venues, i.e. the Innes won't be affected too much for value and service.

  4. Yeah, and injuries also have a factor, as well as relegation, finances etc. I think that when we plan for the SPl again for 2011/12 season, either new contract or sold for a very good amount. A 500,000 quid plus transfer fee will be paid for one of the players is my bet...

  5. It would just be a picture of the man himself for reasons that have been discussed.

I do think that marking the passing of a man who brought ICT colours to the top of the world is appropriate, its not grief culture, its the first time an ICT hat and scarf was on top of everest, and maybe the last. End of.

  6. Condolences to his family. I read "Into thin air" by Jon Krakeur, and it discussed the very points being raised on this topic. It is an age old debate, but a futile one. If something goes wrong on Everest, there is very little that can be done. It's the nature of the beast. That said, I'm in awe of the man for achieving his dream, and also think the idea for some sort of club recognition is a good one.

  7. The ICT defence obviously has confidence in and is bolstered by Esson. There is no guarantee that Tuffey would automatically have the same kind of relationship with the defence as Esson has. Esson if possible.

  8. I remember sitting near him at the Lemon Tree and explaining to one of the other players how cakes were made. Obviously a thinking man. One of my fave ever ICT players. Good luck, Paul.

Did he and the other player not mind you butting in with random cake tips? :D

Hope he does well, Iain Stewart was a success at peterhead, CB less so, CC did well for a period, Sheerin...good luck to him, always interesting to see ex-ICTers enter the management game, as paths may meet if TB replaces Fergie at Man U in 10 years...

  9. I would hope we have Britains best football pie on sale next year.

Macdougall and Hastie have done it again.

We need a campaign to ensure we have local pies for local people. :) :) :)

    Has Inverness become Royston Vasey?

Royston Vasey was based on Inverness :D :) :):ohmy:

    There's nothing for you here...............

The price/quality of the pies does give one a nosebleed...

  10. Agreed. The major factor driving up a potential fee is the lilelihood of the players club saying no. And to some extent the player. Still, that threory kinda goes out the window with Hamilton. I guess if a scout is really really excited by a young player, and tells a manager he is a "must" and other clubs are chasing then the fee might rise dramatically, but Cowie, Rankin, Imrie were never regarded as such. Hayes, on the other hand...

  11. The St Mirren board obviously told Gus he had to lose 5 or 6 players, cut wages, and lose some staff, to which Gus perhaps replied in the negative, to say the least. Economy drives are all very good and well, but they may have just increased their chances of going down - I think the players will feel Gus has taken a bullet for them, and will be pretty displeased. Over zealous accountant at St Mirren.

  12. I think players such as Roscoe, Foran, Hayes, Duncan, Munro should easily cope with the step up to the SPL. But, I think Rooney, Odhiambo, Sanchez might take a while to settle in to begin with.

Odhiambo is far from the finished article, so i'd expect his appearances to be from the bench.

It depends on Rooney's character, if he can go 75 mins or so without a sniff at goal, and then take one chance and score, it's ok, but some strikers need to warm up with a few chances early on, that wont happen too often, so ability is there but is the mental strength.

One player who i think will set the heather alight is Hayes. He will be rightly targeted as the dangerman, but he can handle that, i think ICT may see a lot of money being offered for him, a record amount for the club.

  13. Apologies for the overall vagueness of this rumour. I read somewhere (cannot for the life of me remember where) that Mizuno could come to ICT on loan from Celtic next season. I know absolutely nothing about him, other than he plays on the right of midfield. IF this is genuine, do we need him? Where and how often would he play?

Hyped as the next Nakamura in Japan, probably quite speedy, skillful, but lacking in physical presence (not really necessary for winger i know) and might be struggling at celtic fiiting in with language barrier and reluctance to defend/ability to defend. Could be a decent loan addition, but could be a Fetai...

  14. Hayes was the one player I wanted signed up, he is amazing and has such talent...its a massive massive coup, especially as im sure he could have chosen from several other clubs, well done to his agent too for not looking for an easy buckby pimping him elsewhere, well done to the club for signing him up. Esson next!!!

  15. Blimey 16 players, do you think we've upset them?

Says in the paper it may be more if the existing ones don't give it their all.

They will probably look to buy up the best of the first division as it will kill off their competition and 2nd place may guarantee promotion anyway.

Yes, that would be the best way, but difficult to do, for example, Rooney and Hayes weren't obvious starlets from the off, so Dundee may have bought Barrowman. It's kind of like playing Fantasy Football in the Sun, every year I look back and see some of the players that have the biggest points and were ones that were not billed as big players. I think Dundee have just set themselves back another year, as they are going to have a squad of strangers, and that will take time to get right. Falkirk (or Killie) will prove tough opposition, and County and Dunfermline will also be up there, so I think Dundee are doing the right thing as those players had no mettle or fight, but it is going to be tough this year unless Chisholm gets it perfect in the transfer window...

  16. Terry's stock will have risen, however I think it is premature for English clubs to come a-chasin, as 1) his record outside Scotland isn't as good as it is here, and 2) It was the SFL.

The only teams that might be taking a cursory glance would be Aberdeen and Ijust don't think Terry would see that as worth the upheaval as it's aposoned chalice thesedays.

If TB/MM get ICT to 7th or above next season, then yes, I think a Championship team or an SPL team would be interested. But too early yet i'd say. I think Terry is really enjoying the success and adulation, as at Brentford, Sydney etc he got a rough deal, so I think he is quite enjoying the moment, and so he should. He is a great man manager, the other clubs' boards just couldn't see that and were fan & player-led, which is always a mistake.

  17. Section G were in immense form, from clapping Maurice Malpas on before the game right to the end, as I looked on from the safety of the main stand. Tbh, main stand right wing was very quiet, but then most, including myself were there for the first time in ages (I only got back to highlands last week after a few years abroad) and so its kind of understandable. That said, i let out a cry when Grant lifted the trophy, and it was alone and exposed as noone else did...that is a bit weird!!

Thought every fan celebrated just as TB wanted, and the craic was great. CK events did well, as did the club. Great day out. Bit worried when TB said a couple of players would be leaving....please please not Hayes. If as some are saying that was an off day, well, i cant wait to see an "on" day.

    Edited for clarification

  18. Im usually in the same ballpark but on this one im not. My points in this thread were highlighting that some people, perhaps the younger fans, could find themselves falling foul of the long arm of the law. MorayJaggie, a policeofficer, was informing me and many others, of what could happen regarding the law, and I was under the assumption that this thread, which by the way contains the satement from the club about saturday, was an important discussion about the issues surrounding on pitch merits or demerits. I would quite like to continue on this thread, as I do think it will help some who are perhaps unaware of the clubs position, the laws position, and the opinions for and against, to gain some valubale information.

I dont appreciate that I should 'get a life ffs' or that 'boring old farts' was a barrier to posting. Im not trying to be facetious, but I am trying to use this forum, and there has been very minimal off-topic infighting as far as I can see.

I think that the ins and outs are that there is still a little confusion over what is and isnt acceptable. As far as I am aware it seems there will be a 5 minute window of people going onto the pitch after the whistle, before returning to seats for the presentation. Is that correct?

  19. I have never known us to have so many boring old farts in our fanbase. Some of you need to get a life ffs. We now all know what happened at Ayr, it was fun for those that did it. Are we all critical of this. It would seem that some are, especially those that were not at the game.

The message is clear from the club, stay off the pitch during this, or any other game, thenm the party begins again.

Get a life as in in not post on a forum? What do you mean? Its as valid a topic as the next. Perhaps you can give us some guidelines on what is deemed exciting enough to talk about.
