  1. The name we have now is perfectly fine. It's 2010 nearly 2011 and if older people want a name change thats fine but it's the younger generation thats coming through now and in the near future. To me Caledonian F.C. and Thistle F.C. each have their own history but ICT are who I've grown up supporting and I'd be very surprised if anybody my age wanted a name change. I'm 24 now but looking around Inverness these days there are far more people wearing ICT tops in town and at school than when I was there. This will continue to grow it just needs patience.

  2. The best one footed player I have ever seen. He's really good with his left foot I've always wondered how good he would have become if he ever tried using his right foot.

  3. Aye the abuse of Imrie was pretty pathetic last night I'm glad he put in a shift last night and managed to shove it back down the throats of those responsible.

Whilst he hasnt been the most consistent player this season he has been in and out with injuries and in and out of the squad.

Last night was one of the best performances from the team I have seen this season. I would have thought the guys shouting abuse at Imrie would have been more interested in the match.

Better still if you have a problem with him why don't you go and say it to him in person instead of trying to be a "big man/woman" in front of your mates.

  4. You are right, MorganSpice. It is far too early to say for sure. However I base my assumptions on the basis that at the start of the season the club were pushing the bounce back up slogan, and fans were looking forward to seeing lots of wins...that hasn't happened. And yes, there is a chance that we may be playing SPL next season, though i think it would be a big turnaround.

I just think that the supporters will be a bit teed off when there is a sudden drive and impetus from the club at season ticket time, when before and after is like a ghost town. That is why, and I don't wish to be correct, i think you will see a fair drop. Is it incorrect to make such assumptions? I don't think the club can expect people to keep the same level of loyalty/spending when they aren't making any efforts to please them

In this day and age of social media, where 76% of the population is online and of that 86% of 15-24 year olds, 89% of 25-34 year olds and 67% of 55 yearolds who are online use social media with user-generated content, it is damned easy to connect with your customer base. The fact is, nothing, and i mean, nothing is done to engage with customers of ICT...until season ticket time.

That will be reflected come season ticket time

I completley agree with you that the club has ignored the fans and have only used the media to boost season ticket sales but there are signs of that changing recently. It's just a case of seeing what fresh ideas they can come up with and how long it is before they connect with the fans on a decent level again. I think Darren at the club needs a little bit of credit because he has been doing a lot of work since taking on his new role and there are definate signs of fans issues being taken into account than in the past. Also was the game on Sat not a pound for kids. I may be wrong here but I think the club is starting to try and salvage a relationship with the fans now.

  5. There is no way you can predict that season tickets sales will fall next season. If this thread was being posted in 3 months time and things are still the same i.e. we are out of the title race, nothing changes on the non-playing side then I would maybe agree with you.

But the fact is we are halfway through a season and still in with a chance of promotion albeit a slimmer one than we would have hoped. There is still time for a lot to happen at the club in all areas between now and the end of the season.

What about the seasons we spent in the first before how did we survive then? We were never a moneybags club but we still managed. Why would that change now?

  6. Administration? This is a bit extreme is it not?

The club is not losing that much money surely. If it is surely players will be getting punted in January and players brought in for a suitable budget.

There is also the variable of the Scottish Cup and depending on how far we progress it could add much needed income.

I don't understand why everyone thinks the problems can be solved overnight. There are changes being made at the club slowly but surely.

This is a vital period for the club. Win the games over Christmas and we are back in the mix of things. There is still a lot to be achieved this season the players are getting better and the consistency is coming.

I'm sorry but I'm not ready to give up on the club just yet. I think things will happen soon enough and either way promoted or not things will be fine.

At the end of the day we are ICT fans and we should be supporting ICT. If things are that bad take action but words are said on here so often and nothing is done.

  7. I am in the same boat as Harry Chibber. I didnt realise the tickets got sent back down the road and the club were unsure if more would be sold tommorow or not. If anybody has 2 spare tickets that would be amazing.

  8. Think this has been mentioned before elsewhere.. The top 4 1st Division teams get a bye to the 4th round, and as we were in the SPL last year we get put through.

    Thanks. That makes sense.

  9. I noticed the Scottish Cup 3rd round draw was made and has some First Division teams in the draw, one being the Gypo's. How is it that we have ended up in the fourth round draw? Not that I'm complaining I just find it odd that half the first division are in the draw and half are not.

Active Nation Scottish Cup, revised third round draw

Airdrie United v Queen of the South

    Ross County v Berwick Rangers

Threave Rovers v Inverurie Loco Works

    Deveronvale v Ayr United

    Cowdenbeath v Alloa Athletic

    Albion Rovers v Elgin City

    Stirling Albion v Auchinleck Talbot

    Clyde v Livingston

    Irvine Meadow v Arbroath

    Edinburgh City v Keith

    Wick Academy v Brechin City

    Stenhousemuir v Cove Rangers

    Greenock Morton v Dumbarton

    Montrose v East Fife

    Raith Rovers v Peterhead

    Spartans v Forfar Athletic

The ties are due to be played on Saturday, 28 November 2009.

  10. We ain't going to win the league, Leigh Griffiths will win it for Dundee alone we don't have a prolific goalscorer. I would be happy with 3rd place and the Alba Cup. On a side note I heard today John Robertson is being lined up as the new Arbroath manager!

Oh well we aren't going to win the league then because Leigh Griffiths doesn't play for us! Might as well just give up now!

We are only a quarter of the way through the season. We can easily catch up again we just need to get the momentum going and become more consistent.

Some people on here need to have a reality check! We have no god given right to win this league we need to work for it.

  11. Does nobody else find this a joke?

I think everybody is entitled to an opinion but telling people not to bother turning up is taking it too far.

The board do treat us like mugs and everything about the club at the moment is nowhere near the standard it should be for where we are at. However I will never stop supporting us not even if we were at the bottom of the 3rd. We have had great success mainly since our creation but we have to take the rough with it too.

I think people are entitled to be disgruntled right now especially with the way the club treat us as fans off the pitch. But these people you don't want to come to games still do this. Even though we are clearly second in the clubs interests at the moment. It is baffling to me as we are the ones that contribute to the clubs day to day running why they do not treat us fans with more respect.

I seriously think if more was done off the field it would maybe change the stagnant atmosphere that is currently being felt at the stadium. It is fine telling the fans to get behind the team but what are we getting in return. On and off the field it is a joke.

As much as it pains me to say it we should take a leaf out of County's book when it comes to creating a good relationship between club and fans. And being second to County at anything is embarrasing.

The on field stuff is not too good at the moment but there have been instances of what the team can do when they click.

    Rant over.....

  12. There is obviously a large agreement that certain aspects of the current running of the club is not what it should be or even what it used to be.

Instead of having a boycott why not write a letter to the club from the fans that outlines the problems being faced at the moment. To accompany the letter to show the proof of the discontent maybe a list in petition format could be started for people in agreement to add their name, email or season ticket no. etc. It's just a thought. This is a good opportunity for everybody to have an opinion felt and views put forward as a "whole support" rather than just section G or one or two people here and there. I don't know if the Trust has tried anything like this before or would be involved in representation etc? Like I said it is just an idea and might not be the solution but thought I would put it forward anyway.

It's about time that games were enjoyable to go to again without wondering what sort of problems are going to be encountered on a weekly basis.

  13. Not good at all. We keep wasting chances and it's costing us. It's not ideal but I wouldnt say promotion is looking a forlorn hope already. Its our first defeat of the season. Its a sore one to take coming from County though. I hope Butcher gets into the players and gets them to raise the standard.

  14. Okay I deserve any abuse coming my way!

I don't support Hearts or even have any soft spot for them. I was travelling Europe with my mate who is a Jambo and we decided to pay Zagreb a wee visit as we were in Budapest anyway. The game was of Craig Brewster standards for Hearts in other words terrible. I did sing the songs and I did get drunk the night after and sung the songs again. As far as I was concerned I was supporting a Scottish team in Europe I don't see it as a crime. I know I'm a diehard ICT fan and thats good enough for me.

If you had the chance to go to a Europa Cup qualifier for the equivalent of a fiver I'm sure you woulda gone too.

The stuff about Ian Black was nonsense being spoken by a drunken idiot. On a serious note as far as I know Ian Black was actually a bigger Man U fan than a Hearts fan but I might be wrong thats just what I heard.

Hopefully the next European game I go to is with ICT as it was a great couple of days but it would actually mean something to see us playing in Europe.

  15. That is the most nervous time I've ever spent trying to find out what is going on in an ICT match. Now I understand what it's like for all you other guys who stay abroad. Glad I will be home in 2 weeks and back at the games. Relieved we got off to a winning start today.
