Are there any board members that aren't fans ? Opportunists ?  For what reason ?  Surely the only reason to be a member of a board of a club such as ours would be for the love of the club . Having met a couple of them socially I m finding it difficult to see the opportunities that could arise other than working for a business for no recompense . I m pretty certain that if anyone can think of any way we can increase our season tickets or attendances in general no one is aloof or arrogant enough to not accept help.  Its not a them and us thing . We are all part of OUR club .

We need as much positivity in this club as we can get .

    Here endeth my rant.

I really do see where you are coming from Sheepslagger but our club needs a board which can secure and improve our financial stability which enables us to compete in the top league. We have NEVER had a board able to achieve this. I don't doubt the members of our board are supporters but we really need more than that. I know many wouldn't agree but I really feel we are in need of a "Roy MacGregor" who is a massive supporter and is prepared to put his money where his mouth is.

No trying to start a rant, but as I have said (on the previous page of this topic), a Bught Park Stadium would (more than likely) never come into existance. 1. Space is too small, no matter at what angle, the TCS is considerably larger (if not near the same size) than the space of Bught Park. 2. Backlash from locals, don't think they'd want a massive stadium sitting right outside their house. 3. Road links, miles inadequate to host traffic for a Premiership/Championship team. Only major roads are the Drumnadrochit road and the bypass...which doesn't even link to the A9, and won't for the forseeable futuee. And the only roads surrounding Bught are almost one way roads, due to people being unable to find parking at the Aquadome. And 4. Albeit a minor problem, Shinty. Inverness Shinty Club have been there for coming on 100 years now, and I highly doubt they'd want to move, and even if we did move in as their next door neighbour, I doubt they'd like it...

the bypass already  links to the a9 via glenurquhart rd, milton of leys and drumossie.

Surprised to see Cammy Mackay go on loan to Rothes until January.

I thought he would be our regular back up for Ridgers.

Is Hoban seen as a better prospect now?

Cammy picked up an injury so lost his No2 place. He is better playing than watching and warming up before matches.  Personally i feel the boy will either come back as No2 keeper or he will off.

Under Yogi we were certainly the best at passing sideways and backwards but I'm afraid he never quite grasped the importance of passing the ball forward.

he won us the Scottish Cup and took us into Europe. must have been a real plonker

  6. I fully support Robbo in making the changes for this match as these players needed game time. The biggest mistake this club made was not entering the reserve league. All these guys plus the newly signed u18s would get good game time and the youngsters would develop against men and not boys.

Articles on BBC about foreign training and scouting camps and then.another about the 100s of British players without clubs but we don't do much of these camps. It looks like there is a pool of players out there desperate but how many are willing to lower their wages and ambitions to keep that dream alive.

Let's hope we have a scouting network that market and find a bit of quality in the budget - If there is any left!!!

if they don't have a club they ain't earning anything so a lower wage than they were used to is better than zilch.

  8. Sorry to be negative but we were playing a very young pars team which we dominated for most of the game  but yet again failed to put the match to bed. On this showing I would be very surprised if we are challenging at the end of the season

     I hope I'm wrong.

Because they no longer played for us so it was hardly going to be at Dingwall. Plus it was a committee of volunteers that pushed for it because the club showed little interest and also with (particularly Grant) being told they weren't wanted so close to the end of the season.

How to show players they are wanted and appreciated. Unfortunately, we still seem to be good at that.

  10. I've just read the chairman's statement and I agree this type of abuse should not be tolerated. There is however no specific mention of how long the ban will be so it will be interesting to hear what it is. He does however once again mention ICT is a FAMILY Club - does he really believe this? What exactly is a family club and what has he and his board done to make it so?

The club could also take their lead from those fans around who obviously feel this is reprehensible behaviour.  I imagine the club will release a statement now it's been reported/discussed here, on Twitter, on BBC, and in replies to their Twitter feed.

Hopefully such a statement will reflect the almost unanimous condemnation from the vast majority of fans and the desire to ensure no repeat of what is a moronic but isolated incident that has received the response it has.

Additionally, recognising that such abuse will have come from an individual or small group attending, who are not at all reflective of the 1500-2000-odd long-term supporters in attendance, and echoing the desire - already stated by fans  - to make those responsible stop and also be identified and sanctioned is likely to be issued today or tomorrow.

these morons have achieved what they wanted - major exposure on this site. Time to let the club deal with it quietly.

There's a company in the central belt which runs trips to matches in England. They buy a block of season seats at certain grounds. One club they've bought season tickets for is Sunderland. The rep told me they were renewing the season books for Sunderland due to "the match experience being so good". Food for thought. I like Scotty's idea about beat the goalie and bouncy castles. We'd need an artificial pitch though? The strange thing is ICTFC is big into saying it's a family club, but there's next to nothing for kids at the ground on match day for kids.

what is the sunderland match day experience?

Economies of scale and all that, but certainly insofar as competition - yes.  It is very expensive to run a full time club and realistically needs 5000 fans.  While I agree, I also see how tricky more outlay must be in this particular situation.  It needs a lot of imagination and creative, outside the box thinking to move beyond. Some of which is coming from the posts above and that is encouraging to see positive input and constructive ideas.

Imagination and outside the box creative thinking is exactly what we need or we stagnate and become a part-time lower league club. I wish I had that gift and the club could have it for free.

  15. Wetherspoons have imo cracked the market in value for money. A curry and 5 pints (if you can take as much) for £20 and 3 to 4 hours craic with your mates in a really busy pub. Football needs to learn how to provide real value for money from sources who know how to do it.
