Greg Tansey is a free agent he has been released by the dons.

another ex player bites the dust. i would have him back on a ticket based on appearances until the end of the season.

And we are paying what we can afford to be at the level we are. 6th highest budget in Championship and 6th place.

I'm sure someone on here will have all the figures and statistics for footfall and turnover at clubs - right now we after many years of over-achieving are heading towards where we should be based on the finances and size. Plenty bigger clubs than us have spent years in the Championship with no sign of getting out, so what makes anyone think we are going to be different?

our problem is that nobody seems to have the answer to our lack of support and lack of funds. Until this guru is found our support will just need to accept the obvious.

We are just not good enough. We seem to lack fitness and ideas. We have no actual  leader on the pitch. When we do occasionally  play good football it only lasts for a brief period. We seem unable to apply sustained pressure and break teams down. What really gets to me is apart from a period good football which normally lasts about 10 mins at the start of the game we turn into headless chickens run out ideas. We are just not good enough no leaders on and off the park.

the sad fact is we are getting what we pay for

The players also know we don't have a depth of squad for them to be dropped. Even if they play consistently rubbish they will still start.

that kind of attitude is totally unacceptable for professional footballers and if it's the case those players should be identified and replaced.

He's a striker, ex rangers player looked decent when he was up here. Don't think he got much chance at Dundee for whatever reason

maybe not good enough but if he comes at the right price why not give him a go until the end of the season?

I see that Dundee have released Grant Nelson who trialled with us at start of season and I seem to remember looked pretty good, Robbo himself sounded pleased with him but it went nowhere after that

    where does he play

Aye, Brazilian lad in the U18s. Which is more or less our reserve team, as about a dozen of the "Class of 2018" are still contracted to them as well as the senior squad.

all the u18 squad are contracted to ICTFC and not the squad they play for. imo the main part of all this is the fact they are playing against boys and not getting the physical experience of playing against men which they would get if we had a reserve outfit. I think you will find this is one of the reasons you don't see many getting game time in the first team.

Bear in mind, we still have Matty Machado and quite a lot of other youngsters who could possibly be ready to make their debut in the empty midfield spot...seeing as Carly is due to be out until whenever, probably til New Years, think it's time to start training up the younger players to get them paced and give them their day. We don't need to splash the cash on something we already have multiple of, and will boost their careers...save the money for when we desperately need it...

......I'm sure if Robbo thought the kids were ready he would be giving them their chance.

It was a nice gesture. As long as somebody paid for them and the club didn't lose out financially, does it really matter if it came out of his own pocket ?

imo yes it does. we have no money so he who gives should pay

On a brighter note did anyone else hear about an ICT fan engaging in conversation with Mr Rae on a train journey recently and was given 4 hospitality tickets for the Dundee United game.

nice gesture. do you think the chair paid for them?

  13. If you are taking players north you basically get what you are paying for. We need to start the likes of Roddy on a regular basis and take them off when appropriate. We don't have a sugar daddy to keep happy by playing in the top league and we certainly don't have the infrastructure to comfortably play there. Let's face it, we are a mid table championship club so lets become a nursery  for young talent and get on with it.
