Any relation to the great Clarence Seedorf?

Clarence Seedorf is his uncle.  I see both STV and the P&J are saying Riccardo Calder has signed up but nothing official yet from the club.

Reported Club turned down a £50,000 offer for Draper from across the bridge.

Delighted to hear it as he is key to success.

I wouldn't part with Draper unless it was for a fee closer to double that.

  3. Pretty dull game on the whole but never mind. My thoughts on the trialists as follows:

Mark Ridgers - Had little to do on the whole.

Number 11 - Best player on the park, very dynamic and a lot of good movement with and without the ball.

Number 3 (Chalmers) - Did reasonably well without being too flashy.

Number 9 (Davidson) - Not much to shout about really. Hardly involved and then got injured. Seemingly Elgin are after him too - I think that would be a better fit for him.

Number 10 (Oakley) - Little service but nothing special. Saw nothing to get me excited.

Number 6 (Leitch) - A few nice touches but not much really.  Looked a bit lightweight.

As mentioned, Davidson picked up quite a bad injury. This happens every time we play Forres. Why bother playing a team who are so brutal?

Good shout rebel dublin would be nice ..... do eire teams get invluded.

They do.  This year it's Sligo Rovers and Bray Wanderers.  Bray is 12 km south of Dublin city centre apparently.  There's also Linfield and Crusaders from Belfast.

  5. Don't remember Calder doing much at Dundee.  Was at a time when Hartley had a massive squad and signed every player he could though as I recall.

I know little about him really, but apparently he's mainly a left winger, but can also play in the middle and at left back.

  6. I don't mind building a completely different squad every now and then, especially when it's gone stale (and ours really has).  The big issue here though is how we rebuild them.  When recruiting a new manager, there should've been a lot focus how good a recruiter the perspective manager was.  Has John Robertson rebuilt a side before?  Not really, as far as I'm aware.  Does John Robertson have the contacts to bring players in?  We shall see.

When Butcher did it in 2009, he had the contacts and the know-how to bring good players in.  He also had a great backbone of a side of established players and those who knew Scottish football inside out.  Esson, Tokely, Duncan, McBain, Golabek and Munro, as well as inheriting Adam Rooney.  Don't have that luxury this time, especially if Raven and Draper are away.

The next few weeks are pivotal.  Get it right and we might be able to bounce back.  Get it wrong and it could set us back years.

Given the amount he has earned in his career and the fact that we paid him for a season where he was hardly fit to play, I thought that he might have felt an obligation to give us a season in return for a modest Championship salary. Disappointing.

You'd imagine he was one of the higher earners as well.  Going by his replies on Twitter, he did suggest his playing career wasn't over.
