  1. The Peppers were in great form at the T in the Park gig, Mee.... too bad you didn't make it down there...(oops!) it's not like there was anything else on that weekend involving musicians..... :015: :015:

  2. I'm surprised Hootenannys hasn't been mentioned in this thread.... plenty of talented traditional/folk type bands & musicians to be enjoyed in there on a fairly regular basis....even if it costs an arm & a leg for a pint.... :003: :003:

  3. Hielandee.... Anyone who can recall a period in time when Dundee FC were considered to be a successful football team belongs in a previous generation, maybe even two.......!! :015: :015:

  4. Mee...  Maybe you're heading for some kind of mid-life crisis.... Don't you think dance music of the FBS variety is aimed at a generation, a couple of generations below yours..??!!??

You should really be settling down at night now with your baffies on and listening to the likes of the Jimmy Shand Band.... Now that's real dance music and even comes with a Scottish twist....!!!

I'll put a cd together for you featuring some of the best folk/rock around, from the likes of Fairport Convention, plus some great Shetland stuff from bands like Hom Bru, and Rock Salt & Nails....

It will help broaden your horizons and help get you through what is obviously a difficult time for you.....

  5. I don't hate the English either, Jake... I lived in Yorkshire for a few years - made lots of friends - loved the country pubs (and some city ones) .... Had a really enjoyable way of life in fact.

The English based football media people tend to stir up problems..... They can't quite grasp that there are 4 separate countries within the UK each with their own identity..... They can only see one - and get so p1ssed off when we don't all get behind that one.....

How's the recruitment drive going? Don't you think potential recruits should be made aware of US foreign policy (as long as Blairs in charge) before signing on the dotted line?

  6. Well its overdue by at least a decade or two but Sneck finally have a venue suitable for bigger bands to play/   I don't find their list of upcoming acts impressive in the slightest, I'll be licking p1ss off nettles the night Donnie munros playing, and tribute bands don't do it for me, They obviously need a few dance acts or good DJs to liven it up a bit!  :001: Oh mee miserum.... Perish the thought.... couldn't you use your influence to persuade good  bands like the Peatbogs to put in an appearance..??
  7. You're right Mrs P - He should be ditching TC. What he really needs is someone in the know.... Someone with his finger on the pulse to represent him and consider his and ICT's best interests....

Maybe this could be of interest to IHE.....  :015: :015:

  8. I would say you are "spot on" with that, Exiled ICT..... Players should be very wary of signing contracts with agents, and should be absolutely clear as to who receives what in event of a transfer.

This kind of situation should never, ever arise....

  9. Sorry - FW.... I can't post the type of jokes on here that you appreciate - there's a lot of decent people log on to this site, and they would be highly offended at the the kind of stuff that appeals to you....!!

    More good/bad news....

Doctor is doing the rounds at the hospital when he encounters patient Jim..... "Jim", he says "Got some good news & some bad news... The gangrene has got worse and we're going to have to amputate both your feet"

"Oh My God", says Jim, "What's the good news?"

"Well" says the doc, "There's a guy two beds along from you that wants to buy your shoes"....!!!!!
