somerset park
I think you'll be OK, Miss. A small group of our supporters apparently had a bit of trouble with people last time we were down there, but that was outside a pub away from the ground and a couple of hours after the game - the sort of thing that could happen anywhere if you're unlucky. I've been to Somerset plenty of times and never seen any problems. The only thing that might attract trouble is if large groups of our supporters get too bositerous in the town after the game.

Post-Match Thread : ICT -V- Dunfermline
Unbelievable performance from the team since around December - well done to all. Looking forward to the confirmation party next Saturday then presumably the presentation of the trophy the following week - and I hope as many fans as possible still make the trip to Ayr next week. Top Six Next Year has phoned me three times in as many minutes from the stadium asking if it's full time at Cappielow yet... :D

Airdrie equalise. County are out of it.

Dundee equaliser... TBH I'm quite happy if Dundee go on to score a winner and win in midweek so next week's game is a genuine live issue - means we might have 1000-odd fans there as opposed to 300 if the league's already tied up. Even if Dundee do win, we are NOT going to throw it away against Ayr...

2-0! I wish I'd just jumped on a train this morning... 1 back for Dundee Ooh - 1-0 County - that puts it back on ice again.

ICT -V- Dunfermline : Matchday Thread
Dundee fans leaving already. :D Notice Robbo said that all we need now is a goal for Airdrie - but that doesn't really make much difference, does it?

Yes. I'm pretty sure we do anyway.

1-0 Morton! Could it be our day?

WTF is going on? The conspiracy theorists are really going to be out in force now.

Did you hear the tone of Robbo's voice there when he thought that was a goal? No attempt to disguise his sorrow...

Really pleased with the decision to bring Mcbain in - his experience should benefit us. Nervous now it's 3 o' clock. The selfish part of me is hoping both us and Dundee win because I'm going to be at the next two games and I missed out on seeing us win the title last time round, but I don't suppose I'll be too bothered if we're champions at quarter to five.

Happy birthday
Happy birthday Steve. Will get you a pint in Ayr.

Derek Adams
I don't think Aberdeen will sack McGhee unless they are relegated - and even then they might not be prepared to pay off his contract - but if the Aberdeen job was to become vacant I think Adams would struggle to turn it down, even though it's been a bit of a poisoned chalice over the past 20 years. I believe Adams was a Dons supporter as a boy, (his father worked as a scout under Ferguson), and according to a friend of my wife's who is a season ticket holder at Fir Park, Adams was hated for a good couple of years after he moved there because he said in his first interview that he hoped, if he played well enough, that he'd get a move back to Pittodrie. How tactful. There's also the inescapable fact that Aberdeen are a much, much bigger team than County will ever be. It's true he's not experienced at that level, but behind Derek there's George, and his experience at three of the four biggest clubs in Scotland, during eras of success, has got to be tempting for any employer.

Ayr Roll Call
Oh yes. Think the trains from Glasgow are going to be a bit busier than usual that morning.

Partick Highlights
Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but I noticed that the highlights from our 1-0 win at Firhill have finally been put up on the Partick website: http://www.ptfc.co.uk/media/video/match_hi...03_inverness_ct

Lost Season Ticket
Maybe Caleyrule has stolen it and burnt it because you outed him as a non-believer at the weekend...

1st Div P.O.Y.
It would be Foran for me too. I was quite surprised when I saw he hadn't been nominated, but then this is the players' choice rather than the football writers', isn't it? I bet Foran manages to **** off quite a few opponents over the course of a season.

Queens roll call
1012 train from Glasgow with at least another two.

Queen of the South away
If you can be bothered with the early start in Edinburgh, I think a wee group of us are getting the 1012 train from Central and hoping to arrive in Dumfries in time to watch the County-Celtic game in a pub somewhere.

Morton -V- ICT : matchnight thread
Strange game. We didn't play much good football and never seemed fully in control, yet I'd struggle to name an ICT player who didn't give 100% and I don't remember feeling the team was in danger of losing a goal at any point. Duncan and Cox were outstanding and Tokely had a very good game at the back. The front three gave everything even though things didn't always come off for them. The biggest worry was how badly the team seemed to tire after about an hour; hopefully all our rivals are finding themselves in the same position. Fantastic attitude throughout, though, and great to see the pumped fists from TB at the end again. Holiday football is dangerous, though. I have a horrible hangover, after being discovered waiting for a night bus that was never going to come by some of my 'clientele' from work, and poured into a taxi by them. Not good. Ah well. Bring on Queens...

Morton roll call
Ooops..... See you at 5. I will have a plus one I think. I'll be there around 5 too, also plus one.

Team for Morton
That would have been my preferred team until probably the most recent County game, but I think with two games in two that Odihambo must get another chance. He hasn't been involved much in most of the games I've seen him in this season, and I think Sanchez is more effective at creating chances for others, but Odihambo can only be growing in confidence now and he does show some flashes of talent. I would like to see Bully back in defence, though - on the whole I think he's been pretty decent since the turn of the year. Edited to add - I'm responding to Rene's team here rather than ICTPaisley's. Should have quoted.

Morton roll call
That should be fine. I'm on holiday this week so I'm pretty flexible - just got to hear back from a couple of people from Glasgow and edinburgh who may or may not be coming through. Keep me posted on this thread when you know what train suits yourself and Roger - maybe get a pint in Central before the train.

Morton roll call
Aye, I know Johndo and Roger. Think myself and Top Six Next Year were probably speaking to yourself and Roger in Munn's before the Partick match.
