  1. Ross, Shane Sutherland and Shinnie all have enough promise, and have done well enough so far. Nick Ross impressed a lot early last season, Shane did fine at a very poor Elgin on loan, and Shinnie shone at Forres and has been solid enough so far. Confident each will prove good squad members this season.

  2. doesnt do our co-efficient ratings in europe any good. Just shows how poor our teams are early on in season. If celts go out, is that them out of europe for the season completely? if so, can see them joining rangers on the floor financially, as did the board not say they had to take their time appointing Lennon to make sure they got tings right this time. Cant afford another Mowbray!

  4. The two guys still on trial but with slight knocks look to me as if Tel wants them, as otherwise they would have been offski by now. MacKay Stevens is a very very talented guy, who has had a few injuries at the wrong time. Believe he would still be at Liverpool but for his time out. This can be his way back into top flight, closer to home, more settled, and a Terry said this guy could challenge Johnny Hayes for his spot. I know he has impressed the other players a lot in training aswell..

The defender from Newcastle might be the 22 year old back up we need, to learn his trade and push the centre backs for compitition. Other than that I think Terry will then only go for a loanee or someone who is too good to turn down.

Remember we also have a lot of very promising under 19s, two of which are internationals, two of which have also players the early friendlies. I can see Liam Polworth, Kyle White, Jack Sutherland, Tom Smith, Adam MacLeod and Martin Laing pushing for bench places with the others no far behind. Liam Polworth has graced each level he has played at, and I wouldnt be suprised if he breaks the youngest player record for the first team - as he is still 15 i think til sometime before Xmas. Of those 19s named thats 2 defenders, 2 midfielders a winger and an out and out striker, who has been described as the most naturally talented striker to have come through the youth system so far. I would not be worried at any of those guys been in the team with the established guys around them. Tom Smith is a very able and calm left back, Jack centre half, Martin the red haired lad in centre mid who has played a good few friendlies, Liam is a younger build that looks like his dad, Kyle and Adam can both play as strikers, with Kyle more used in Forans place on the left wing - and he is quick by the way.

  5. Guide dogs for the blind?

Seriously it might go into a fund for ICT Pplayers who get injuries that may prevent them from playing again. You would hope it never matures but what help do players get if they have to give up at a young age.

  6. Absolutely Fabulous. Think the width of the stripes are just right. The first stiped kit all those years ago was too thin and pinstripe like, and another one made the top more red. Do like this one extremely much, and it makes us look different from most others, as i hate folk making us out to be like a rangers strip.

Good choice and I hope we make it a very successful strip, on and off the park

  7. Will likely go to Grantown as never seen a game their. Been to Elgin rakes of times so fancy something new, even if it is a youthfull team. Worth watching some of the youngsters against the highland league adults. Hope the likes of Polworth gets a game to see if the hype is right

  8. Whilst I believe that Grant Munro is a good centre-back and has been a great stalwart for the club, he has never been a captain. Unlike former and fan favourite captains such as Darren Dods and Bobby Mann, he doesn't seem to possess the same qualities that these two had in relation to being the captain of this football club. He doesn't seem to have the same presence on the field nor the willingness to be vocal to his team mates. Richie Foran on the other hand, does seem to possess these qualities, and I believe that he will show to be a good captain next season and hopefully for a number of seasons to come.

As been suggested by a few others this was a decision made last season, although it might not have been described as permanent. Terry, if you look back at the final 3 games I think did indeed make Richie Foran club captain, and it was announced. As suggested it would have been discussed between the players and management, and has anyone seen any less commitment from Grant since. Has he also not talked up signing an extension to his contract, no the words of someone too unhappy. Grant might actually feel a weight off his shoulders with this, and give him time to concentrate on his new central defensive partnership with Rossco. Will be proven to be a wise move I think

  9. When I spoke to the shop last week thay thought it would be in towards the end of this week, however the players will get theirs before it goes into the shop, and Im sure they will do the press release thing to add to the excitment of the seasons start.

They also know the design but cannot say anything as it would steal the clubs thunder as it were.

    Can see their point totally

  10. We will be fine. We are much better than the teams under real pressure this year - Killie, Buddies and Dons. We will be a match for Accies and Perth Saints. It remains to be seen if one of the top 6 struggles so much they fall into the basement half ( hibs and well i'm thinking ) as the others will be too good for the rest of the league. We will have a chance of the top 6 i think, but will depend on our home form - which I hope we can go with less than 5 defeats before the split.

Think Arabs and Hearts will be closer to the Old Firm this year. Lennon may struggle, but so did rangers when Smith said he was going last time.

Our aim for this season should be SURVIVAL first, then if we get near the top 6 for Xmas we could dream!!!!! Top 6 would be our biggest achievement.

  11. think it will be a close call. Personally think that the two Lennon's, Mixu, Hughes and Mahat McGee will be the likley lads. Celtics Lennon will be hoping they get past the Portugese team that I cant remember. Might be a game Lennon will never forget. The writing could be on the wall early - and he lost the only game that was important in his managerial career so far. However I think if he gets to the champs league it will be between the Dons and Hibees, with the pretty on the eye hughes huffers having little punch although on paper they should

  12. I can hear the buzz of the crowd down hereford way now. That buzz of the crowd wondering what he is going to do. Will it be cheers, will it be tears, well even Lionel doesnt know.

As someone mentioned, if he has a good touch in the first 5 then it can be a very good day - but you will have your heart in your mouth. He can have 20yards clear of anyone to pick a pass to a team mate, but he will wait for an attacker to close him down and then try to trick his way past. Entertaining but he only has a 50% chance of getting away with it. Saying that he could then goon a mazey run past 6 players and then freah air swipe trying yo cross the ball.

Dont think anyone would be suprised if he scored a 50 yard overhead scissors kick though, as he would be the most likely to do this.

  13. Nice to see that the Dutch have been watching our success last season. Adopting our style of two holding midfielders, 3 attacking midfielders/wingers with a one man striking position. Seems to be the most entertaining style of play around at the moment

  14. I actually love the buzz the vuvuzela gives in a match, as more happens on the pitch the noise intensifies like a busy swarm of bees, but I do think to get this atmosphere reprocated at TCS you would need just about everyone buzzing them rather than a hundred or so breathless souls. But we will soon see, bet some Antwerp fans take some over, and I bet Rangers, Celtic and Dundee United ban away fans from having them as they will be offensive weapons in the hands of visiting support but not their own fans.

  15. I think the big difference this time in the SPL, not just for Adam Rooney, is that our strikers are a bit more experienced and we have Ritchie Foran. Foran is vastly experienced at this level and makes a huge difference to the team when he plays. An experienced front man was what was missing from Brewster's team in the SPL last time and it cost us dearly.

That is bang on the money. I think we may spring a few surprises this year, but we better watch our stars.

Richie is a leader from the front and is very important to our success this season

  16. I have a mate down south who told me over a week ago that something has happened to Wayne Rooney, and the press agreed to keep it quiet until after the world cup, so watch the papers next week. Old habits apparently dont go away!
