A cup win is a cup win.. we're in the last 16.
First half was a struggle against what is basically a Highland league team, huffed and puffed until Gilmore battered in a goal off someone's leg.
Thank feck!
Second half was one sided helped by a red card and pen (pysh attempt)
Samuel's made up for it by scoring the second.
Brooks added 2 which glossed over a potential trip of a tie.
Again we played so many passes back and fore it became a bore! There is a great need for a midfielder with vision and drive to connect the striker (s)
Anyway I'm fairly happy we're in the draw and Samuel's looks like he could be a good addition to the squad.

A striker in ! That's a start.
Further pitch inspection tomorrow at 10 am presumably to let the temp rise and the wind to dry things up a bit.

Well that's Ferguson's plan A fecked.

Taken from today's Courier:
Duncan Ferguson " It's ongoing, were trying to get the best players we possibly can, We're fighting with othe clubs to try and get deals over the line.
we're looking at a number of positions and hopefully we something done before the end of the window, If not we go with what we've got! "
FFS that last comment is a worry.

Now nearing the end of the month and still haven't heard many names ...
I'd be worried if by next Friday we have no new players! Think the squad we have should get us past Broomhill ( touch wood + fingers crossed )

So perhaps the club should advise us as to what the current "media strategy" is and the reason for any recent alterations ?
Don't hold your breath mate.

Listening to off the ball just now and concensus was that if VAR were there it would been a penalty without doubt.
Michael Stewart also spoke about ICT after the game and said defence looked good, And the midfield although they passed the ball about well there was a complete lack of ideas of how to convert the possession into goal opportunities.
Shaw was poor and has been this season, Longstaff runs about looking like he doesn't know what he's meant to be doing. Gilmore and Carson were OK and at least add a bit of steel to our midfield.
Only hope we can score a goal next week as our home record is horrendous.

Utd score late again. Feckin typical. Too many wasted chances, too many poor players in our side.
-
Mackay off, Brooks on, this would be a great time for the lad to score...maybe..

So its listed as 5 4 1 set up on BBC!!!!

Carragher on from the start? No Ujdur? Starting shortcock? 3 at the back then.
Feckin hope they lift for this home game.

Dougal much prefers Lemon drizzle cake, Lemon tea and Gin and bitter lemon to follow, And a pint of bitter from his fridge later on.

I hope Ferguson has lined up some players, especially a striker, Wotherspoon is finished with us and will sign for Dee utd. Our midfield at the moment is pysh.

Shocking performance. Could have played for weeks and not scored, Some players were awful, Shaw needs to be dropped and Gilmore needs shooting practice.
The subs that came on showed how poor our squad is.
As Ferguson says we're def.in a relegation battle.

Pretty sad end to the game, First half we played pretty well and missed some chances where players made the wrong choice ( Harper and Shaw ) had we taken them the outcome would have been very different. The second half was so flat as there didn't seem to be as much energy as the first half?
Losing a soft goal from a deflection into the box where their player reacted a lot quicker than our defenders was a blow, Davidson i'm afraid was pretty poor and he looked more and more nervous as the game went on, Whether it's a lack of game time or that he's just shyte I don't know.
We sure missed Carson, and if Welsh was available by some strange occurrence i'm sure we would have more control in midfield, And Gilmore ain't no Allardice.
The Ref is another story, how the moron got fooled by the Arbroath players( Especially Gaston) is beyond belief, One high ball into the box second half saw him come out to try and win the ball, He realised he couldn't and just threw himself over, Ref was suckered and blew for a foul... feckin unbelieveable.
A lot of unhappy fans at full time, Even with Harper sauntering over clapping his hands sarcastically the loss to Arbroath was a sore one.

1-2 FT, FFS.
Two defeats this week to sides who were near the bottom of the league. Is it the case that the new manager bounce is over and we are back to being as p1sh as we were under Dodds? Surely not?
You'd better believe it!

Well that was shyte... really need a win om Saturday or we're back in the mire.

Ferguson really needs a playmaker in midfield, Longstaff, Shaw Harper don't hurt opposition and Doran is on the fringes of being past it unfortunately.
Our survival really depends I'm afraid on a decent player coming in.
