Reason for edit: not used to this red wine yet
PMSL - almost literally. I'm so proud you're my namesake (in the real world).
(Posted through a cloud of red wine, J?germeister, Golden Rum, Weissbier etc).

really doesnt no wat he is doing get him out now ha ha
Now which team might you support? Let me think for a moment because it's not patently fecking obvious to me, as I'm from Dingwall too, and the fact that my mother is also my sister and my girlfriend has impaired my ability to see through a completely transparent facade.

Alex Bone proved that you don't have to be playing to get a red card. Bone got 3 reds in one game against yous.
A game in which he was playing.

Ross County have the same facilities in the Hamilton Lounge, but it's FREE !
But look at the company you have to keep.

Please show me where you saw that rule that rules out goalkeepers coming on as outfield players?
OK - I've had a dig, and it's not a case of where, it's a case of when. It seems that designated goalkeeper subs only existed for one season; 1994/95. :D
If only I'd made my original post 15 years earlier. :D

Read a few posts up already said which shop :003:

Re: Shop - yes I've seen it now - i wasn't arguing, I just wanted to know, 'cos it's cool.
Re: Subs rule - I'll get back to you, I'm on cerebral go-slow due to too much "Mount Gay" rum, possibly brought on by all the singing about loving Cox.

The stadium announcer defo said that Allison was subbed on at the end but, i'm sure you cant do that.
Do what? :003:
Sub a Substitute goalkeeper for an outfield player. As Caleyjag pointed out (and I missed), the announcer had Rooney as the sub GK, and this seems to be where the problem arose.
Life is tougher without names on shirts. Which reminds of the wee man (about 10yo) I saw at East End Park, and today, with "3 Djebi-Zadi" on the back of his 09/10 away shirt - how'd he do that then?
By going to a shop and asking for it on the back!
Pretty obvious Allison didnt come on outfield but you could do that if you wanted. If you really wanted you could sub Rooney for Esson and put rooney in goal and put allison on upfront for foran.
a: So which shop would that be then?
b: No, you can only replace a keeper with an outfield player if either the keeper has been sent off, or the keeper has been taken off injured. You can only sub the sub keeper for an outfield player if the outfield player is playing in goal for one of the aforementioned reasons (or immediately following the sending off/injury for any outfielder).

Getting back to the subs mystery, both Mike and myself seem to think it was:
Ross for Eagles
Rooney for Hayes
Morisson for Proctor
McBain and Allison were unsused subs.
Any advance on that?
Cox definitely got a yellow, wasn't it for taking Hart down near half way when they were breaking?
I'll go with those - don't believe the BBC - they're using third hand info, and got it wrong last week as well.
-
it was quite amusing hearing the Dundee PA attempt to pronounce lionels name :003:
Yes, I liked that - something like "Jeda <mumble, mumble, fade>..."
-
Sportbox and Radio Scotland had us with two bookings - Hayes and Cox but everyone else seems to have missed Cox getting booked.
I saw the Cox booking in the first half - he fouled no 9 McMenamin (I think) in front of the main stand after about half an hour. Can't remember the Hayes one at all (63 mins according to the BBC).
EDIT - I see Cox was reported as 44 mins.
Hayes was booked at the other side (in front of the converted terracing).

Since I live just along the road, I was aware that I haven't seen Dens so busy on a Saturday since Premier Division days. The announcer then said they had given 1000 tickets away to schools and clubs - that would probably have brought an extra 1500-2000 in.
Excellent game, which could have had any of three results right up until the final whistle. I was happy with the football I was seeing, with the exception of Eagle's unwillingness to take on his man. Sanchez flagged a bit towards the end, but I think he'd done his bit by then. Munro's definitely got it back from wherever he left it last season.
As for Allison being used as a sub, as far as I recall, that's not allowed.
Biggest disappointment for me (apart from not getting a third to clinch it) was CaleyD not having time to change out of his working clothes into something a bit more vibrant.

The last time I was down that way (Dundee United game when Blackie got the winner) I seem to recall we were invited along to the Dundee FC supporters club bar...not sure if that would apply tomorrow as it's Dundee we are playing this time. The time before that (Highland March ??) we used the Centenary Bar on the Clepington Road which was only a short walk from the ground. Not sure if that is still there or whether its still any good.
It's still there - I passed it a couple of hours ago, and saw some of the patrons exercising their human rights by stepping outside for a fag. I don't know if it's still any good - the last time I was there I could still have a fag without stepping outside.

I actually thought this topic was all a bit of a storm in a teacup. However, last night I had the misfortune to be sitting beside someone who spent the whole game moaning about and at Grant Munro. He could do nothing right in the eyes of this gentleman and I swear even if he has scored a hat trick it would still have been wrong. Why do people do this? I know you pay your money but a bit of support would not go a miss from some quarters.
I sat beside a pensioner (one of a pair) at Dumfermline who was exactly the same about Munro (and Imrie) - I wonder if they're related?

Phoned Dens Park today. It's pay at the gate. ?10 concessions and ?17 for full price tickets.
You could have saved yourself the bother by reading "Who's all going to Dundee then?"
Especially:
By the season ticket prices, they show the full gate price as ?306 (?180 concession), which makes it ?17 a game, and ?10 concession.I've just confirmed these prices at their ticket office.
Yes, Mr_W, students are included in the concessions:

UNDER 16
STUDENTS

...ayr's back line played the off side trap well...
Well enough to catch the incompetent officials out more often than they did Foran.
...this would also tell the passing player that when he runs round the Defender he is On side and also stop the flag going up...Part 1: yes
Part 2: who knows? - would it have made any difference on Saturday?

...it's become a bit of a joke with the staff as to how loud/bad/funny a shirt/t-shirt I can turn up wearing...so be warned, they aren't going to get any better
Well I was in the Main Stand when you came out, and I was so shocked I dropped my bag of sweeties. I'd just like to apologise to everyone for the rustling noises I made trying to find them again during my temporary loss of sight.

Also the hopefully next big thing in Football Updates. PIE WATCH
I was mocked when on the way home last week, I suggested starting a pie league.
I wasn't too impressed last week. They were a bit soggy, and too peppery for my liking.

:P No, just seeing who elts will be joining the sesh army :D
Seeing how many people have moved to section G, i think the whole section might be sining this season!
Doing a perfect Mexican wave?

Take it you were on the supporters bus?
No, I was driving - only going as far as Dundee (shhhh!).
-
georgeios - where did you see Imrie sitting on a wall waiting for a bus? who was he with and what was he wearing?
see if we have the same people.
No, it was me who saw you waiting for the bus to Cowdenbeath, wearing your home top, with your girlfriend
As soon as you said you were half in the picture above, I thought it must have been you. You stopped looking like him once you turned around and faced me.

TB looking at Gary Kenneth?

No, he's probably not - but maybe he should. Not played for Dundee United this season, and Levein may be up for a loan agreement on him. I saw him yesterday, and he's bored. Gary's got a lot in common with Ross Tokely, and I think a back line with those two in would provide enough to make the ring of many a striker twitch - enough to make a swine flu victim cack himself, I would have thought.
Discuss, but quickly; we only have 39 hours, 7 minutes left.
