  1. Sam and Robbie Thompson are brothers I believe and both scored. Who else apart from the Shinnie brothers have we had play together?

I know we’ve had an incredible amount of father-son combos.

Heredia sounds interesting and by all accounts looked impressive on Saturday. But who else remembers the last time we signed a player with international caps for a Caribbean island?! 😬

Think Susan could have done a job in League One though?

Impressive scoring record that suggests he is way too good for the level he is at, but how good is that level? There’s a team called Route One Rovers, and I don’t think it would be difficult to get the better of Daisy Hill!

Route One Rovers sounds like a fives team down the Power League

First game tomorrow afternoon against Strathspey so I'd imagine we'll see trialists as well as the Under 19s get match time.

I'd imagine Alonge and Lukiama to be 2 of the trialists if they are currently training with the first team squad 🤷🤔.

I’m thinking this will only be under 19s

  5. Let’s all head to Bucharest in July for a reunion.

The cup final was amazing but as someone said earlier, it was hard to enjoy with what was at stake being the favourites. The pinnacle for me was that trip to play Astra.

For me, the two most important positions in a team that can influence a match is the striker and the goalie.
The Striker will always demand the top dollar💸. Goalies tend to be a lot further down the pecking order in way of wages. They can however accrue more points than the rest of the team players as was proved so effective last season where, whilst we couldn’t score in many games, Musa helped in no small measure getting the points needed to get above Dumbarton and Annan.

I think the guy is a real talent and could be the difference in getting promotion next season. I know all the talk is players earn too much and we (the club), will stay within their new wage structure. I hope that means we pay at least the minimum wage for the hours the guys are contracted for (12, 16, 32 or whatever).
Savage is no mug however. He knows talent when he sees it. He also knows the value of achieving promotion next season.

Musa’s manager will do (rightly so), what he can to get the best deal for the player. If Musa is content with ICT and would consider staying for another season (to gain more exposure), then I hope AS comes up with a deal that could be acceptable to both parties.

If the boy does move on then I wish him every success in the future. Like it if he finds a team in Scotland

    bc

Personally I don’t see the point in this “just do an extra season with us” mentality. All it’s doing is holding him back another year when he is clearly above this level.

Id be very surprised if he stayed, and if he does it’s because he lacks ambition.

I guess EK would until recently have been the largest place in Scotland without a league club? Population is over 75,000 so there is long term potential to be a top flight club if they could somehow build a fan base, but I suspect about 74,500 of those residents are more interested in the old firm.

East Kilbride announced for Tuesday 22nd July at 7.45pm

I can't imagine there are many fans desperate for more games in the Challenge Cup. Against B teams. In the middle of the week.

Only if they are within an hour or so I’d imagine. For most fans that’ll be home games, for me I’ll be quite happy if any of them hit the central belt.

Chance for a little more variety in opposition, opportunity to see more games, and with it the additional ticket income for clubs.

Are these not all things people have been asking for?

I’m all for more games to go to, but as for the format it’s been thrown together poorly. Could have been better I think.

  10. I really don’t like this set up. Why are the Championship sides not thrown in at this stage? That is the whole point of the new CL set up. To get the bigger sides playing each other early and allowing the smaller teams a chance at qualification.

It’s also a ridiculous decision to pull all Highland and Lowland teams to accommodate the B teams. 30 teams initially enter and we play 6 games to knock out 8 B teams.

    What a waste of time

Aye it was a rumour at the time with no source provided.  I stand by what I said.

I've heard the 22nd May date has been pushed back to June...any confirmation??

So Satan was in the wrong to ask fans on a forum if anyone knew further information regarding this?

Im here to hear our fans opinions and gather as much information about my club as possible, if this means i get information before it’s published then great. I’ll always take it with a pinch of salt until confirmed otherwise but I don’t see the harm.

Said this before during the admin process, but I really wish people wouldn't say things if they don't have solid info they can point to.  "I've heard" - who from?  When?  What's the point in causing unnecessary worry based on nothing but rumour?

Looks like the nothing but rumour has been made public news now.

Mixed feelings as Annan has a couple of fantastic pubs between the station and the ground 🍺. New Bayview is in a pretty uninspiring location near the docks - a bit like the Longman then.
Seriously though it’s a welcome change and for our many East of Scotland based fans there’s a new direct rail link between Edinburgh Waverley and Leven station which is within walking distance of the ground.
We have only played there once as they moved mid-season and it was played on a Sunday in our promotion season in 1999 with an early kickoff as their lights weren’t ready. We lost 3-2 after playing for most of the game without Paul Cherry who was red carded.
Like ourselves, Dick will surely have a rebuilding job as many of his squad will not have the legs for the step up to League 1.

I was at that match although my memory has it as 3-3. Funny how 26 years can do that.

I don’t think Dick will have any issue finding another batch of players to compete in League 1.

Is Keogh not a striker rather than a midfielder?

Hopefully has better shooting boots than his father. I seem to remember him taking an eternity to get his first goal for us.

Clyde made up for that though!
