They are simply fans expressing their views and opinions on the players, management, board-CEO and the ground where they turn up and pay their money to be hopefully entertained. They are entitled to do that irrespective if other fans don’t agree with them. That’s what the forum (I hope), was established for. If you want it to be the mouthpiece for only what the club want you to hear, (Pravda comes to mind) there would, I suggest be half a dozen contributors as the full forum group!

I don’t mind people airing their opinions, of course this is what the forum is for. I’m just making an observation 🤷‍♂️

So has he been offered a contract extension or not? 🤷‍♂️

Does the job of more than 1 and he’s got a good eye for talent, I would be happy enough for him to stay on.

  3. What a miserable bunch of fans we have these days 😂 I actually think being in the Premier League has turned a lot of our support into spoiled brats.

damned if they do, damned if they don’t….

Unfortunately the CEO and Board are instrumental in the fiscal stability, direction and what players the club can retain (spend on), bring in (buy), coach (cost of coaches, pitches & kit etc), and the clubs reputation on how they treat players. Rightly or wrongly this week for example!

So it’s directly related to what the quality of happens on the park and therefore a legitimate point to raise given the recent performance of the board/CEO over the past two seasons.

There is a shelf life for everything and it’s normally based on performance.

I absolutely get it, but it doesn’t interest me and nothing I do is going to change that.

I love my club because of the football and I’m only interested in that, the political side of the senior hierarchy is actually quite boring to me.

I was thinking the same but just looked it up and it was actually 2009/10. The season we overhauled Dundee to win the title, Airdrie finished bottom. We got 3 wins and a draw against them.

Was one of them Tokelys 500th appearance?

Are all the fans who were against replacing Dodds because there are no better options out there of the same opinion when it comes to our CEO?

If not, who would they suggest?

Couldn’t care less about the non footballing staff at the club if honest.

Do people need reminded of concertgate?

Given the propensity of the current club guardians to screw people over and then spin the legalities to make it look like they're the injured party, it's maybe a bit quick to be coming down on their side in this matter 🤷‍♂️

What do you make of the incident with Sutherland from what’s been said?

Latest club statement. I guess anyone out of contract and not on this list is not getting an offer?

    The club confirm that new contracts have been offered to the following players;

Billy Mckay (Billy’s existing contract included an additional year option in the player’s favour and this option was triggered a number of weeks ago by his appearances this season)

    Scott Allardice

    Danny Devine

    Austin Samuels

    Ethan Cairns

    Robbie Thompson

    Harry Hennem

which would be the following players?

    Cameron Mackay

Nathan Shaw (unsure if signed until 24)

    Tom Walsh

Embarrassing and incredibly tin-pot for a club who can't communicate with fans on engage on any matters (and certainly not timely updates online) but can retaliate with towards a twitter post from a player immediately.

At least they’ve cleared it up and what’s been spouted has been misinterpreted.

The only thing I can think of is they’ve emailed him to say we are arranging a meeting to discuss your future but have possibly mentioned the fact that he won’t be needed in that email.

Always 2 sides to a story.

Club denying Shane was told by email. He had face to face then received email confrming detail of meeting.

"A Caley Thistle spokesman insisted that the process had been followed fully and properly, with Sutherland interviewed by sporting director John Robertson.

    what's the odds.

Either way, it's getting a bit messy out there, however please reserve judgement until both parties have their say.

Where has the club statement come from? I’ve not seen it yet.

Offering Mckay reduced wages to sign a new deal

Not a good sign. Where have you seen this if you don’t mind me asking.

Good on Shane for outing the club like this though, even if it has made me feel second hand embarrassment.

Just played Dundee 4 times this season and minimum with airdrie next........its depressingly repetitive

I don’t like playing them either but don’t  worry it’s a new Dundee side, plus it’s only once this season.

When did we last play Airdrie? Wouldn’t mind 3 away trips there this year 👌

I made it up from announcements from the club to update the players profile on this site but maybe it’s incorrect. I try my best to keep it up to date as people are often asked about contracts

    It was only just announced.

the deal regarding Duffy I should say.

Not surprised at PT doing well, always looked like they had a squad capable, just shows what a good manager can get happening. We will never know if we had made a similar change whether we'd be in that position or not, but I believe we have a squad of similar levels.

Failed just the same as Dodds in the end but at least we didn’t have to fork out on the manager compensation 👌

More of the same both on and off the park seems to be the plan. Can’t help think it’s money driven with Dodds knowing he is only retained cause the board haven’t the money to attract serious talent, cause they have no money to attract title challenging players and it’s loan spells with dodgy injury or past it players brought it!

Don’t see a new horizon, just retread of a tired strategy with unattractive stagnant football!!

Must admit I was hoping for a new direction, but not to be it appears!!

I’ll certainly take more of the same, 45 minutes away from the Premier League against St Johnstone and this season 3 points off second place with a cup final at Hampden. We got a bit unlucky this season and there’s certainly room for improvement but we aren’t as bad as we’re made out.

I don’t really get why some of our fans have the old firm mentality where we should be outright winning this league.
