  1. Congrats from a Staggie. I honestly thought you guys would stumble closer to the end, just to make it a bit more intresting but alas it was decedied not to be the case and you won it with time to spare. It's rare for a team to bounce back up first time of asking, but a great unbeaten run showing with some ugly wins showed that in the end Caley had what it was needed. Enjoy you party, it's deserved (although I now slightly hate myself for that)
  2. Caley's win was more important, it was the first time either club had managed to get a result against that lot since both clubs were accepted into the league structure. It put ICT on the map, and to a lesser (ok, hugely lesser extent) County as well. We had our moment but nothing like that night for Caley However, I would say that yesterdays result was more significant. Not only does it give County a chance to get some major silverware (lets be honest, the Scottish FA cup is second only to SPL success for many) but gives us a chance for European tie (and most likely only 1 round if previous teams experiences are anything to go by) However, this season is more testimony to the fact that both teams are here on merit, Caley look to be bouncing straight back up to the SPL, something that much more established clubs have failed to do and credit where credit is due, Well Done. County have now got to the final of the cup after beating Hibs and Celtic and much earlier this season Hamilton in the League cup, the case for a bigger SPL is not only strong, but now screaming for the ones in cahrge to hear....and if they refuse then we will have to bloddy win the 1st next season
  3. As it stands, Keddie stays at County. He has agreed terms and is waiting to sign, it all depends upon if his wife to be gets a job at Dingwall Academy. If not he heads south. BTW cheers for Vigurs, why did you let him go?
  4. Not really, we were so awfull in the first half, we desereved to be a goal down, the only thing was that Caley weren't that much better than last time, we just allowed them to get to every 2nd a 3rd ball. Flukey goal, from a mistake from a, so far this season, solid goalie. Boyd can't defend nor pass, but then never could. Could have/should have scored, but thats football. Diddy cup anyway.... :P B)
  5. It was the kind of incident that if the roles were the other way around I would have been baying for a red. Couldn't argue if he saw red. The ref was shocking though, letting things go which should be a foul, and pulling up tackles for no reason. We could/should have had a penalty for a hand ball, told by a mate at work he has seen them given and not given, but thats the breaks of football.
  6. To be honest I found this all very funny (of course I would, I'm one of the chosen to follow a better team :P ) and as I have only skim read the thread, I may end up repeating a couple of points. But all joking aside this is a bit OTT. To be honest it's neither up nor down if you want to call as gypos or whatever, it's part of the banter of football and I'm sure 99.9999999% of County fans can take it just the same way as I'm sure 99.9999999% of Caley fans can take it when we respond with "I'll rather be a gypo than a tink". Should be intresting come Sunday if both songs get an sing song, could end up with more fans outside than inside the ground. Does the trust have anyone at board level or is it independant of the club?
  7. Guess what, he is one of the better refs in the lower leagues... It was a definate heart in mouth moment, but from my view (all away at the other end) I couldn't tell on way or the other. Unfortunately bad ref calls are part and parcel of this league, and we will be on the end of a bad call (in fact already have this season in the Raith game) and Caley will benfit from bad call's, it's all about how the team mentally deal with these calls.
  8. To buck then trend of County fans taking the ****, my I remember you all that St Johnstone won the title last season after drawing about 14 games, and while County narrowly avoided 9th place, we finished with the same points as the team in 5th, 4 points off 3rd place and 8 points of 2nd place. It's a tight league where any team can gain points and drop points, more teams will drop points latter on this season all is not lost.......and toose to Ross County is no reason to drop Lionel really, what a player
  9. But seemed to be proved correct.....intresting dont you think
