Glad you enjoyed yourself and as you say some money for club.

I really wish theyd now concentrate on the service the ordinary fans receive? It appears that getting through turnstiles and then a pie and coffee was challenging on Saturday to say the least! For instance you cannot buy a black coffee just a sweetened latte. Not good enough and also Id have thought another route to take money in.

When I got to the front of the que after over 30 mins, as there was max 2 people serving the entire North Stand. You couldn't get any coffee except a 'latte', only soft drink was water or Fanta (though the first 2 kids who were with me got Coke then it run out), no pies of any kind, no sausage rolls, no burgers or hot dogs (though more pies were cooking), no crisps left except Cheese & Onion, no chocolate bars left except KitKat. If I wasn't there with 3 kids I'd have given up when the 2nd half kicked off.

I and 5 golfing buddies were up on our annual golfing break last week, and were able to fit in this match.  We treated ourselves to the hospitality package in the Highlander suite.  Worth every penny.  From 12.30 right through to about 17.45 we were royally treated by commercial manager, Keith Haggart, and his staff.  Starting with a look at my wall tile, recently puchased as a gift for me, in the tunnel "wall of fame", followed by champagne reception, 3 course lunch, free bar before, after and at half time, everyone treated us brilliantly.

There were chats from Keith, followed by Robbo and Scott Gardner, and after the match an interview between Keith and Mark Ridgers.  Lots of photo opportunities, including with Robbo (who looked and sounded really well).

All in all, a great experience, definitely the highlight of our 5 day trip,  and the 1-0 win was a bonus too.   Good to see almost 50 people enjoying this experience, which can't be bad for the club coffers.  So, if you have a birthday, or other special occasion coming up, I would firmly recommend that you treat yourself and give this a try. You won't be disappointed. I'm already looking forward to giving it another go.

Sounds awesome, good that we're giving a high quality experience again after the Yvonne Crook era shambles. I fancied booking it with my daughter who's a huge fan and has never seen hospitality before but 80 odd quid for a 10 year old was just way too much.

Unless I’ve missed it, the summary promised “in the next 10 days” is already a more than a week late in appearing.

    Has anyone seen it?

SG just working through his email backlog I'm sure.

Yesterday was at New Bayview, another astro. Nearly went but it's a bit of a trek. Dunfermline away is a possibility.

I see the SWNT will be using Hampden for the next campaign. Not really keen on that as a fan but I suppose it's a good move for them.

Yeah I really hoped they'd move the SWNT around the country a bit so I'd actually be able to take my daughter.

Suppose after yesterday another thing that probably should be brought up is what seems to be a mobile data blackspot where the stadium is. Anywhere else in town I can load up and upload pictures to social media at any time at all with no issues, but it took an absolute age for it to work yesterday.

I'm aware this isn't the club's issue specifically, but it certainly isn't the only place in town with a blackspot, so it would be worthwhile bringing it up and forwarding it to the council for them to deal with.

Never had any issues in the North Stand on EE tbh.

Away fans are allowed into Arbroath this weekend. Is there any updates on the supporters bus, or is it a case of make your own way there for the time being?

  8. Cove have also been hit hard.

Our annual lethargic start to the season is not Covid related but points to a continued issue that we seem to happen under different regimes and different management.

I don't really care hugely about this cup itself but the manner in which we've been bested twice by part timers leagues below us is a huge concern not just the result but the manner of defeat/draw.

Also Dodds was appointed over 8 weeks ago but hasn't worked on the back 4? Wot.

Although, the vast majority of posters on this site, including myself, were delighted when Ritchie Foran was appointed as manager.

Sadly, the vast majority of us and the board of directors were entirely wrong.

Strange because most people I spoke with while sincerely hoping for the best were deeply concerned about someone with zero management experience or pedigree being appointed let alone given a multi year deal.

Can you get refreshments at the game? Looking forward to getting along for the first time in something like 16 months at the weekend.

No the kiosks are closed, you can bring food in but the usual 'no bottles or containers' rule also remains.

On the covid rules debate, not being funny but if you're highly vulnerable it's probably not that wise to be going to an event with hundreds of people in the first place, particularly if you have the option of watching from home. Plus I don't understand why once seated people have to keep their face coverings on in an outside setting of the stadium but in a small enclosed bar or restaurant you can sit 1 meter from another table and happily have your mask off for the duration. Makes no logical sense.

I agree it was far superior than last season which was crap!  Ian Auld was good the picture quality was good and it was good to hear Ross Tokely as well

Personally I thought the quality of the picture was the only let down. Looked pixalleted and got particularly bad during the transitions.
