  1. Gutted to hear GS is leaving. I hope all ICT fans recognise what a great servant he has been to the club and wish him all the best for the future. Yes i would have liked to see him go to someone else other than a rival team but if it helps him pull on a Scotland shirt which we know he deserves then good luck to him.
  2. Realistically Top 6 is what I would expect. The only team I expect us to struggle against more often are Celtic, Aberdeen and Motherwell. With the sales they have made I would put Dundee utd on a par with us along with St Johnstone. The rest I would say are weaker. So a top 6 finish is what we should expect. If we have a good season and Motherwell or Aberdeen falter a possible Euro place could be up for grabs. A good cup run i think as well is on the cards.
  3. OK, just let me know how drunk you'll be at 19.45 on Friday and I'll take that number... Been a good week so far I will go with 10
  4. Depends on my mood and how drunk I am!!! Pesimistac = 0 Realistic = 7 Optimistic = 9 Dream = 13 LA LA land = 15
  5. For ICT to sell Mackay in this window the offer would have to be £1 Million, with how we are doing in the league and the cups. I would expect the club to hold out for the higher premium due to this being the January window and the teams who would be looking for a proven goal scorer are going to be teams pushing ofr promotion or trying to avoid the drop and would be willing to pay to have him. However I can see accepting less in the summer depending on how the rest of the season goes, though would still expect about £500k, though if he has a stormer of a 2nd half to the season, £750k+ is a possibility especially if we make Europe.
  6. From what I have found out so far Hughs has a decent track record, certainly better than Butchers was when he joined. He is inheriting a team that is performing well and he won't need to tinker to much with it. So for this season I think we will continue to do well unless he starts to mess around with the team. However for me the crunch will come in the January Transfer window and over the summer to see if he can find the diamonds in the rough Butcher and Marsella were able to. The success of our club is defined how well we replace the good players we lose each year to better contracts from other teams. If Hughes is unable to do this we will certainly suffer in the years to come.
  7. Some have stated MM has a poor managerial record, but remember TB's wasn't great before he came to us. Offering MM the manager's role until January with a vue to making it permanent depending on performance works for me. If it is not working out we can bring in a new manager then, with perhaps a better choice out there. I would like to see Foran getting a player/coach role but would prefer SM or CC as assistant to MM. At the end of the season it can all be re-evaluated and Foran can step up especially if SM leaves as some has indicated he might.
  8. With Hampden unavailable I think this is the right choice. Yes it is inconvienent for teams like ICT to go to Glasgow but in this instance I think this is correct as Murrayfield would be as bad. With the size of the Stadiums it gives the most chance for the teams who reach the semi's/final to get good gate reciepts.
  9. Sorry to see Grant Munro is leaving football. He was a great servant to Caley Thistle over the years and to County for the last 2. Good luck to him in whatever he does in the future. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24534131
  10. League = 2nd Though would be happy with 3rd and 4th only if we win a cup. League Cup = Win I think we should make the final at least. Scottish Cup = Semi
  11. A top 6 finish and a Semi-final will be grand. This will give the consistancy across 2 seasons, and give us a chance to interest better players willing to join a team challenging for a European place.
  12. I think ICT have a pretty good balance right now will the majority of players from the uk/ireland with only a couple of true foreign players. I would like to see 1 or 2 more scottish/local players especially younger players but aknowledge the fact not all will be a similar quality to your Grahame Shinnie and Terry and his team are doing a great job
  13. i think this is a great idea. It would have a good effect on getting fair weather supportes out. I admit I am one of them, as I travel a lot for my work and the idea of spending a bleak winter afternoon/evening on one of the few days I am at home is not appealing. But watching it in relative warmth of the summer would encourage me to make more of an effort. I also think it may encourage parents to take kids along to the games as well. The better weather make it less of a chore and with the kids on summer holidays at what would be mid season would increase the number further. When you add in less costs for under soil heating and electricity for flood lights the benefits to all clubs is clear. The point made above about better performance in Europe in the intial stages is true as well and may at least get us another place in europe.
  14. Well done to young mister Meekings http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22189526 Oops can mod sort out thread heading!!!
