  1. These things happen from time to time. If Alex McLeish believes the player didn't mean it then that's good enough for me. I was glad to hear Wenger retracted his post-match comments and I think Sky did the wrong thing by not just playing a replay and the reverse angle after it happened. I think Andy Gray was the commentator saying something like, "I cannae handle this its horrible don't show it". It should've been shown straight away just to prove that it wasn't a deliberate and cynical tackle. It was horrific looking but Eduardo will recover.
  2. http://www.lochnesscottages.co.uk/myblog.html Scroll down to "The Inverness Catastrophe" - no, it's not a match report from today. Messrs Preece and Findlay never taught this at the IRA!

  4. Its cool I've got it on channel 719 if you've got digital council telly and not sky
  5. Thanks but I already tried that... If you click that link then where do you go?
  6. tryin to listen to the game online but i cant find it!!!
  7. I don't trust him. He's got that shifty eye a bit like the leader of the BNP You're right, trustworthyness is all in the eyes... Exhibit A: Abu Hamza Exhibit B: Blackbeard the Pirate
  8. His website i.e the window to his business, is woeful. Absolutely appalling. It looks like it was done by Timmy from South Park, and that would be disrespectful to Timmy.
  9. Me too, I was a tradesman
  10. I don't like the sound of this guy one wee bit. Not just because he's made money in the sex industry but because of his bullsh1t tough talk, suggesting the guys who got us where we are aren't good enough to take us forward. Very disrespectful. Maybe I'm being a bit cynical but its worth pointing out that the security and sex industries are synonymous with supershadyness. You hear about it in Glasgow a lot. He "claims to have provided security to celebrities, royalty and US President George Bush". Bush is the biggest feckin crook of them all!! I wouldn't put that on my CV. I've seen 1 or 2 but I think they were guests of the visiting club.
  11. When did Mark say this???
  12. Just going back to the "feeder club" notion for a second.... Are we not already a feeder club due to our size and the fact that we've done so well? Robson, Dods, Wyness, Brown, Brewster, Robertson, Paterson to name but a few are all people who have moved on to bigger clubs at some point.
  13. What he said may be true but he would never have said that had he still been on our books. By making the comments now he has put us down in order to make himself look better and that's a cheap shot.
  14. Well said Scotty. Generally a really negative thread this :( The way I see it from what I've learned about Phil O'Donnell this week is that the applause is celebrating his life and what he stood for, namely the love of his family, football and the way in which fans from all clubs have come together to mourn someone who by all accounts was a top guy. These are all things everyone can relate to. Its a minute of our lives, just get on with it! I can't believe folk have even discussed the issue it to this extent because the reasons for having it are so feckin obvious!!
  15. Anyone know if a visiting team has ever been prevented from getting to Inverness at all since 1994? Reason I ask is because I mind listening to Your Call when it was uncertain whether we'd be admitted to the SPL and some plank of an OF fan was complaining that we shouldn't be allowed in because "the road isn't good enough" and is "always shut" and "it's too far away" and so on ad nauseam :L
  16. I think Mantis and some others have hit the nail on the head. Of course Rangers could not object to the postponement for the reasons given by Celtic. Not sure about this though... I think if it had been a minutes silence then some could have spoiled it. The Celtic fans would have drowned out any inappropriate noise from Rangers fans with the minutes applause.
  17. I wouldn't have given MOTM to the goalkeeper of the winning side in a 3 - 1 victory, rather the player that scored a brace, no?
  18. This is such a terrible shock. I'm gutted for his family, friends, club and the 'Well fans. A great player, RIP.
  19. We've got something that a lot of teams can only wish for, team spirit! I thought it was on the wane before we went on this roll but its back and seems to be stronger than ever. Only special managers can instill it in their team and we've had it since the days of Pele. Ours is a team that thrives in being the underdog and defeats along the way are made up for tenfold by victories like that one on Sunday. I wouldn't have it any other way. I love this club!! I just feel sorry for people that support the Old Firm because they win all the time and for no other reason. To be a true fan of football I think you need to experience the full range of emotions associated with it, and not just the highs. I thank my dad for taking me to see Thistle in the late 80's, one year we went to every single game home and away. He was a Rangers fan when my folks moved north in the 70's before I came along but has since seen the error of his ways and is now a proud ICT season ticket holder. I'll always have a home in Inverness, so no matter where I'm living and working ICT will be my local team, and I'm going to brainwash my kids if I ever have any to make up for that kid in Inverness being brainwashed to the dark-side by his dad.
  20. A penalty kick is awarded against a team which commits one of the ten offences for which a direct free kick is awarded, inside its own penalty area and while the ball is in play i.e. if the player commits any of the following six offences in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force: [li]kicks or attempts to kick an opponent[/li] [li]trips or attempts to trip an opponent[/li] [li]jumps at an opponent[/li] [li]charges an opponent[/li] [li]strikes or attempts to strike an opponent[/li] [li]pushes an opponent[/li] A penalty kick is also awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any of the following four offences: [li]tackles an opponent to gain possession of the ball, making contact with the opponent before touching the ball[/li] [li]holds an opponent[/li] [li]spits at an opponent[/li] [li]handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his own penalty area)[/li] Elvis was holding him therefore it was a penalty.
  21. I just went for a Mackie D's and had to drive past Celtic Park on the way. Its in darkness, there's no one around, the big screen is off and it looks like a very very sad place. Desolate in fact. Its almost as if.... as if...... SOMEONE GOT IT RIGHT UP THEM!!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAAAAAAAAA :blah01:
  22. Well said Bronson!! Not even my evil ex-bird can remove this perma-grin from my coupon :001:
